A Sacrificial Offering of Praise…

20171103_070831

Happy Friday, Saints:

I pray this morning’s devotional finds everyone well and at peace.

I love Friday mornings. It means we get to finish the work week on a High praise.

So this morning we are walking in accord with the Word of God that reads:

Hebrews 13:15-16

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

15 Our sacrifice is to keep offering praise to God in the name of Jesus. 16 But don’t forget to help others and to share your possessions with them. This too is like offering a sacrifice that pleases God.

Have a great weekend and know that I love you with an AMAZING LOVE.

Happy Anniversary

A year ago today, I began this on-line devotion. So many things have happened in time span of a year. I have grown to trust God more. I have also grown in my faith and my obedience to the Lord.

At first, this devotional journey was only once or twice a week. Then the Holy Spirit led me to write five days a week.

I pray that over the past year that you have been fed, either by the message or by the music, or both. Every person’s journey, through this life, is both sacred and divine. I am just here to provide encouragement along the way.

I am so grateful that God has never let go of me. I serve the Lord because it is my way of saying, “Thank You, God, for never giving up on me. Please use me however you need me.”

I love you with an AMAZING LOVE. Be blessed in all you do.

Rev. Marcia Davis

The worship video today is special to me. God is continually changing me, shaping me and molding me. This is the song that I selected the evening I was ordained into the ministry to be a servant for the Kingdom of God. The song is performed by Tramine Hawkins and is entitled, “Changed.”

All My Hope…

Psalm 147:11

New International Version (NIV)

11 the Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.

What does it mean to put our hope in God? Hope signifies trust. Trust signifies assurance. Assurance signifies faith.

Hope in God means that we understand that God has a plan. One of the greatest lessons I learned about placing my Hope in God is that God works on many levels and is good at strategic planning.

It may look like God is off track, based on the circumstances of our life, but we know this to be true: God is doing everything for Our growth or His glory. It is impossible for God to fail.

I love you, with an AMAZING LOVE.

Walk With Me, Lord…

Happy Tuesday morning.

The are five guaranteed things that this life brings: Love, Loss, Change, Death and Life.

Every journey of this life is not promised to be easy. However, as Believers, we know that we never have to walk alone.

Sometimes our prayers are not answered the way we wish they would have been. That is why when we pray, we pray for the Lord’s will to be done.

Our prayer this morning, “Lord allow peace to rest and abide with me as I learn to submit to your will and your way. When questions come, help me to know that your ways are perfect. In Jesus’s name. Amen.”

Allow the worship video to minister to your heart. Micah Tyler is an amazing songwriter. May his words bless you and bring you peace. The song is entitled, “Different.”

I love you with an AMAZING LOVE.

You Are My Strength

Psalm 28:7

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

    You are my strong shield,
    and I trust you completely.
You have helped me,
    and I will celebrate
    and thank you in song.

Good Monday Morning:

Father God: We  lift your name and give you the Highest praise. Go with us today and lead us in your will and your way.  Be our strength and fortress. You go before us and prepare the way. You ARE our Strength. Amen.

Be blessed today. Meditate on today’s worship video performed by William Murphy entitled, “You Are My Strength.”

Matthew 25:37-40

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

37 Then the ones who pleased the Lord will ask, “When did we give you something to eat or drink? 38 When did we welcome you as a stranger or give you clothes to wear 39 or visit you while you were sick or in jail?”

40 The king will answer, “Whenever you did it for any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you did it for me.”

Happy Friday, Everyone.

I missed talking to you yesterday, but I am here today and feeling much better.

Today’s devotional is about showing love and compassion to everyone. Jesus’s first act, when encountering someone in need, was to provide the provision and then to teach or set free.

The same must be said of us, as we are Christ’s ambassadors. We represent the Cross and everything that it stands for.

Let everyone we encounter receive the same respect and honor we would show our Lord. The blessing we give to others will turn their mourning into dancing and their sorrows into joy.

Please enjoy today’s praise video performed by Michelle Williams entitled, “If We Had Your Eyes.”

I love you, with an AMAZING LOVE.

A Father’s Love….

image001FB_IMG_1508929551959

Seven years ago, today, my father got his wings. I will always miss him. Two things my father instilled in me was a love for all types of music and respect for all life.

A lot of my spiritual footprint is from how my Father understood God. Daddy was an amazing musician. He played the piano, keyboard and organ. To hear him play a gospel song would literally bring tears to your eyes.

He taught me to feel music in every fiber of my being. So much so, when I listen to music now, I not only hear the music, but I become the music.

Music is a gift from God. When it is used in the right way it can be life-changing.

Ephesians 5:19-20

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

19 When you meet together, sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, as you praise the Lord with all your heart. 20 Always use the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to thank God the Father for everything.

Today, I dedicate the worship video to my father. I love you, Daddy. This was one my father’s favorite songs. The song is performed by the Mississippi Mass Choir and is entitled, “Near The Cross.” I played this song for my father the night he took his last breath. I wanted him to walk into heaven with this song in his spirit.

Revive Us, Again…

aicd1

Charging….Charging….Charging

Clear!!!!! Reviving!!!

When a person goes into full cardiac arrest, it is sometimes necessary to try to revive them using defibrillator paddles. Why are the paddles necessary? An attempt to revive a patient, using a defibrillator, is needed because a person’s heart is not able to function properly on its own.  The paddle is used to get the heart beat back to a regular rhythm and is able to beat properly on its own.

Our spirit works the same way. There are times when our spirit becomes weak and gets weary. However, instead of reviving our spirit with a defibrillator paddle, we seek God for a Revival.

Why revival? Revival is necessary when our spirit has been neglected from not being in the presence of God and there is a need to get back in perfect alignment and cadence with God.

Neglect can be caused by not spending time with God through prayer, worship, or studying the Word. Neglect is from putting other things in higher priority above our relationship with God.

Spiritual neglect is not always purposeful. Sometimes revival is needed because we have been in a long bout of spiritual warfare and our spirit is exhausted from the battle.

For whatever the reason, we can call on God to Revive Us again. Revive us by breathing new life into our spirit until we feel our strength returning.

If you are in need of a refreshing, simply ask God to Revive your heart, mind, soul, and spirit and to place your feet firmly in a secure place and back in fellowship with Him.

I pray that you enjoy the worship video performed by Anthony Evans entitled, “See You Again.”

I love you, All, with an AMAZING LOVE. Stay close to God. Our relationship with Him is our number one priority.

It’s Not About Us…

1 Corinthians 3:4-9

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

Some of you say that you follow me, and others claim to follow Apollos. Isn’t that how ordinary people behave? Apollos and I are merely servants who helped you to have faith. It was the Lord who made it all happen. I planted the seeds, Apollos watered them, but God made them sprout and grow. What matters isn’t those who planted or watered, but God who made the plants grow. The one who plants is just as important as the one who waters. And each one will be paid for what they do. Apollos and I work together for God, and you are God’s garden and God’s building.

Whenever we share share the love of God, we are planting a seed. Once the seed of God’s love is shared we let go of “ownership” of the seed. As the scripture passage above states that one person plants the seed and another waters, but it is God who makes it grow.

The planters and those who water are both servants of God. One role is not more important than the other. When we begin to compare roles and rank them by our preconceived order of importance, at that point pride and the ego have taken over. It’s no longer about God, but rather it has become about the servant. Quick lesson in serving that is vital to remember, “It’s Not About You, it’s about Jesus.

Today’s Prayer:

Father as we go about our day today, let every encounter we have with someone be a God encounter. Let those we meet see more of you and less of us. May Jesus shine brightly in, around, and through us today, for Your glory. Amen.

I love you All with an AMAZING LOVE. Rev. Marcia Davis

Is Anything Too Hard for God…

What Makes God……God?

For me it is because there is nothing that God cannot do. He is God, above all, through all and in all. Here are just a few names for God:

God (‘El, ‘Elohim)
Most High God (‘El ‘Elyon)
Almighty God (‘El Shaddai)
The Almighty (Shaddai)
The LORD of Hosts (Yahweh‐Sabaoth)
The LORD Our Banner (Yahweh‐nissi)

This is why I can dance before the Lord. This is why it is so easy to start my Friday with a High praise. God can do anything except fail.

Genesis 18:10-15

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

10 One of the guests was the Lord, and he said, “I’ll come back about this time next year, and when I do, Sarah will already have a son.”

Sarah was behind Abraham, listening at the entrance to the tent. 11 Abraham and Sarah were very old, and Sarah was well past the age for having children. 12 So she laughed and said to herself, “Now that I am worn out and my husband is old, will I really know such happiness?”[a]

13 The Lord asked Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh? Does she doubt that she can have a child in her old age? 14 I am the Lord! There is nothing too difficult for me. I’ll come back next year at the time I promised, and Sarah will already have a son.”

15 Sarah was so frightened that she lied and said, “I didn’t laugh.”

“Yes, you did!” he answered.

Enjoy today’s worship and praise video performed by Ada entitled, “Jesus (You Are Able).” Dance and worship before the Lord with joy and gladness.

Have a great weekend. Know that I love you with an AMAZING LOVE.
