³⁷ Then the ones who pleased the Lord will ask, “When did we give you something to eat or drink? ³⁸ When did we welcome you as a stranger or give you clothes to wear ³⁹ or visit you while you were sick or in jail?”

⁴⁰ The king will answer, “Whenever you did it for any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you did it for me.”

I missed talking to you yesterday, but I am here today and feeling much better.

Today’s devotional is about showing love and compassion to everyone. Jesus’s first act, when encountering someone in need, was to provide the provision and then to teach or set free.

The same must be said of us, as we are Christ’s ambassadors. We represent the Cross and everything that it stands for.

Let everyone we encounter receive the same respect and honor we would show our Lord. The blessing we give to others will turn their mourning into dancing and their sorrows into joy.
