A Father’s Love….

Seven years ago, today, my father got his wings. I will always miss him. Two things my father instilled in me was a love for all types of music and respect for all life.

A lot of my spiritual footprint is from how my Father understood God. Daddy was an amazing musician. He played the piano, keyboard and organ. To hear him play a gospel song would literally bring tears to your eyes.

He taught me to feel music in every fiber of my being. So much so, when I listen to music now, I not only hear the music, but I become the music.

Music is a gift from God. When it is used in the right way it can be life-changing.

Ephesians 5:19-20

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

19 When you meet together, sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, as you praise the Lord with all your heart. 20 Always use the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to thank God the Father for everything.

Today, I dedicate the worship video to my father. I love you, Daddy. This was one my father’s favorite songs. The song is performed by the Mississippi Mass Choir and is entitled, “Near The Cross.” I played this song for my father the night he took his last breath. I wanted him to walk into heaven with this song in his spirit.
