Run Your Race…

Good morning, Saints of the Most High God:

I pray this morning finds you in good health with a heart of thanksgiving and joy.

This morning, the Holy Spirit put on my heart the importance of the race we each have been given to run.  We are not all starting from the exact same place or at the exact same time. Our goal of this race is to cross the finish line.

There may be hurdles along the way. There may be several hills to climb. The race for some is very short and for others it is longer.

So we must never compare our race to anyone else’s. We are only accountable for how we ran our race. For the race is not given to the swift or the strong, but to those that endure until the end. Ecclesiastes 9:11

I encourage you today, don’t give up. Even if you are tired and feel like quitting, hold on. Call out to God. Call a spiritually mature friend or mentor like your pastor or minister, or a close friend that you know is strong in the faith. Ask for prayer and guidance. Say the Lord’s Prayer and sing your favorite Christian or Gospel song. Just don’t quit and don’t give up. Help is just a prayer away.

Be blessed and know that I love you with an Everlasting and Amazing Love.

Allow today’s worship video to encourage you and give you strength.

A Day To Rejoice…

Every day, even when having computer issues, should be a day to rejoice. LOL

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow.

HAPPY FRIDAY, EVERYONE!!!

Yes, there were challenges this week, but God.

Yes, there was sadness this week, but God.

Yes, there were attacks this week, but God.

2 Corinthians 2:12-17

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

12 When I went to Troas to preach the good news about Christ, I found that the Lord had already prepared the way. 13 But I was worried when I didn’t find my friend Titus there. So I left the other followers and went on to Macedonia.

14 I am grateful that God always makes it possible for Christ to lead us to victory. God also helps us spread the knowledge about Christ everywhere, and this knowledge is like the smell of perfume. 15-16 In fact, God thinks of us as a perfume that brings Christ to everyone. For people who are being saved, this perfume has a sweet smell and leads them to a better life. But for people who are lost, it has a bad smell and leads them to a horrible death.

No one really has what it takes to do this work. 17 A lot of people try to get rich from preaching God’s message. But we are God’s sincere messengers, and by the power of Christ we speak our message with God as our witness.

GOD ALWAYS MAKES A WAY, ACCORDING TO HIS WILL.

Now, Rejoice and know that as long as you are walking in the will and authority of God, everything will work out the way God designed.

I love you with an AMAZING LOVE.

El Shaddai…

el-shaddai-14-728

In different scholarly articles and journals,  El Shaddai’s translation has been debated. The meaning has been said to be one of the  following:

  • God Almighty
  • Breast of God
  • God of the Mountains

However, no matter what translation is used, God is STILL God. One of the first solos I ever sang was Amy Grant’s “El Shaddai.” I sang it for a Woman’s Tea at the Lutheran Church I grew up in – in Decatur, Georgia.

My mom and dad and I had just moved to Atlanta from Nashville/Antioch, Tennessee. I was terrified to sing in front of anyone by myself. I grew up singing, but it was always in an ensemble or choir. I loved to harmonize with other voices.

This one Saturday, it was just me and El Shaddai. My heart was beating out of my chest and my mouth was dry. However, when I closed my eyes and imagined that I was singing directly to God, the words and sound came.

Ever since that day, I have walked into my calling as a worshipper and minister. I preached my first sermon a couple of years later. Looking back, on this Throw Back Thursday, I stand in a position of gratefulness and humbleness that God would continue to use me.

Thank You, God, for using my imperfection to share the Redeeming message of your Love made Flesh. Oh Come, Oh Come Emmanuel…

I love you, All, with an AMAZING LOVE.

Be forever blessed. Rev. Marcia Davis

The Family of Christ…

Hebrews 10:19-25

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

Encouragement and Warning

19 My friends, the blood of Jesus gives us courage to enter the most holy place 20 by a new way that leads to life! And this way takes us through the curtain that is Christ himself.

21 We have a great high priest who is in charge of God’s house. 22 So let’s come near God with pure hearts and a confidence that comes from having faith. Let’s keep our hearts pure, our consciences free from evil, and our bodies washed with clean water. 23 We must hold tightly to the hope that we say is ours. After all, we can trust the one who made the agreement with us. 24 We should keep on encouraging each other to be thoughtful and to do helpful things. 25 Some people have gotten out of the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. We should keep on encouraging each other, especially since you know that the day of the Lord’s coming is getting closer.

Have you ever passed by a complete stranger and felt the power of God on them? As children of God, there is an internal Light that radiates from us. When two or more of us are gathered together the power of the Light of God is even more intense. What an amazing feeling to worship, praise, teach and learn with our fellow brothers and sisters from all over the globe. By the time the assembling of believers has come to an end, each person feels more energized and renewed.

Enjoy the worship video for today and watch what happens when the Lights of God begin to shine. It will be impossible for you not to go into a deeper worship.

I truly do Love you with an AMAZING LOVE. Rev. Marcia Davis

Psalm 100

New International Version (NIV)

Psalm 100

A psalm. For giving grateful praise.

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
    Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

I have completely fallin’ in love with the attached worship group. The entire complation of songs is called People & Songs. You will see several videos from them in the future, in the morning devotionals.

I love YOU, yes you, with an AMAZING LOVE. Be Blessed.   Rev. Marcia Davis

YOUR LOVE, Changes Everything…

John 3:16-21

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

16 God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die. 17 God did not send his Son into the world to condemn its people. He sent him to save them! 18 No one who has faith in God’s Son will be condemned. But everyone who doesn’t have faith in him has already been condemned for not having faith in God’s only Son.

19 The light has come into the world, and people who do evil things are judged guilty because they love the dark more than the light. 20 People who do evil hate the light and won’t come to the light, because it clearly shows what they have done. 21 But everyone who lives by the truth will come to the light, because they want others to know that God is really the one doing what they do.

HAVE A WONDERFUL MONDAY.

Heaven Father,

Allow us to walk in the Love that changed our lives. Never let us forget the price it cost. In the name of our Redeeming Lord, Jesus the Christ. Amen

I LOVE YOU WITH AN AMAZING LOVE,

Rev. Marcia Davis

HAPPY PRAISE FRIDAY!!!!

Today is Foot-stomping Friday. Some days, I like to go way back to the music I grew up on in church and in my parents home.

Remember to give God your best praise every day. May today be a day of victory and joy.

Be blessed and be obedient, in Christ Jesus.

Ok, get your tambourines. It’s time to praise the Lord.

I love you with an AMAZING LOVE.

YAHWEH…

IAM_few_names

I am an adult college student majoring in Psychology. I attend a Christian University. Last night, in class, we were sharing our class projects. As it turned out, as each of us shared, we all came back to sharing our testimonies.

My testimony helped me to explain to others why I love, honor, and adore the God and Savior that I serve.

Everyone’s relationship, on their spiritual path,  is different. Each believer has their own relationship with God that is theirs and theirs alone. Every spiritual journey is truly sacred and divine.

I pray for everyone reading  this devotional. May you continually go deeper in your relationship with God. May you continue to hunger and thirst for more of God every day. May your “Love Walk” be a beautiful testimony to others. May your walk be so passionate that it inspires others to have a desire to know God for themselves.

Be blessed today and every day.

I love you with an AMAZING LOVE.

Rev. Marcia Davis

Please get in a posture of worship as you listen to today’s worship video from Hillsong entitled, “Yahweh.”

Prayer is Your Weapon…

For many people, when they think of spiritual warfare they picture a scary scene from the movies. What most people don’t realize is that most spiritual warfare is done on our knees or in a quiet place set aside for our time with God.

The world needs more prayer warriors. We need more people who set aside a time to seek God’s face and go into the Holy of Holies and bow down before God on behave of our families, our country and our world.

One of the most effective prayers is the Lord’s Prayer.

Our Father, in heaven.

Holy, Awesome, and AMAZING is Your Name.

Your will be done, Oh God, on the earth, as it has been decreed and declared in heaven. Let your Kingdom manifest on this earth in the seen and unseen realms.

Give us today what you have ordained for us to have. You are our provider of everything we need. You are our daily supply and our Perfect Portion.

Forgive our sins, Father. May we also forgive and release those who have sinned against us. For you alone are our judge.

Lead and guide us away from temptation. Pull us away from anything that would steal from our relationship with you. Deliver us, protect us, shield us from the spirit of evil.

For your Kingdom, Lord, deserves all of our glory, honor and praise. Amen.

Saints, it’s time to go deeper. It’s time to stand stronger. Protect and cover the areas you have been assigned to by God.

I love you with an AMAZING LOVE.

Rev. Marcia Davis

Let’s Break EVERY chain of bondage to sin and defeat by the enemy.

Be Ready to Fight…

1 Peter 5:7-9

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

God cares for you, so turn all your worries over to him.

Be on your guard and stay awake. Your enemy, the devil, is like a roaring lion, sneaking around to find someone to attack. But you must resist the devil and stay strong in your faith. You know that all over the world the Lord’s followers are suffering just as you are.

Sometimes life moves so smoothly that we can easily forget that there are forces continually working, planning, scheming and fighting behind the scenes.

In our endeavor to do good, we must make sure that we never put our weapons down. We are still soldiers.

pray2

With all my heart, saints, this fight is real and it is constantly going on. If you have gotten relaxed in your warfare, get back in the fight.

If you have neglected interceding for the saints, go back to your prayer closet. Get back to your positions and be ever ready.

Let’s sing and march with our worship/war video this morning. The song is entitled, “This Means WAR!”

I love you with an AMAZING LOVE.
