Good morning, Family:

Today is state holiday for me, so writing today’s devotional little later in the day than I normally would. During the week, our alarm clock goes off at exactly 4:15am, so I enjoyed sleeping in a bit.

Good news, I’m am using today to check on my health. I dont look forward to any of it, but I know that taking care of our earthly bodies is very important. If you are afraid to go to the doctor,  just take courage and know that you are staying healthy not only for you but also for those that love you.

Deuteronomy 31:6

New International Version (NIV)

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

As I am writing this post, I am in the lobby of the Comprehensive Breast Center Emory Hospital at Hillandale waiting to get my yearly mammogram. I share this personal information because it is so important. Early detection saves lives. My next appointment today is with my OB/GYN for my yearly exam.

Today’s devotional message is not just about women. This is for the men as well. Go and get your prostate exams. Early detection does save lives. There are so many people that love and care about you. Dont be afraid. Be courageous and be well.

I love you with the amazing and everlasting love of Christ.
