How GREAT is Our God…

Global Worship

Psalm 147:5-7

New Living Translation (NLT)

How great is our Lord! His power is absolute!
    His understanding is beyond comprehension!
The Lord supports the humble,
but he brings the wicked down into the dust.

Sing out your thanks to the Lord;
sing praises to our God with a harp.

From the north to the south. From California to Florida. From Greece to Russia.

Every color, every creed, every nation. Around the world there is continuous nonstop praises to God. When one time zone ends another begins their songs to heaven.

Have a blessed Tuesday. I love you with an AMAZING LOVE.

Like the Dew in the Morning…

ed3b1990e5a650ad67f5ad78b2e6ffd3--rain-drops-the-rain

Deuteronomy 32:1-4

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

32 Earth and Sky,
    listen to what I say!
Israel, I will teach you.
My words will be like gentle rain
    on tender young plants,
or like dew on the grass.

Join with me in praising
the wonderful name
    of the Lord our God.
The Lord is a mighty rock,
    and he never does wrong.
God can always be trusted
    to bring justice.

Good morning, Loved Ones:

God is just as great as He was yesterday. God is faithful in all he does. God is gracious and merciful in every decision he makes.

Let us pray.

Father God:

We come to you with our hearts filled with praise and our minds focused on you. Use us today for your glory. Your will be done, on earth and in us, as it has been spoken and decreed in heaven.

Even though we may not always understand your ways, we will always trust you. We know that our thoughts are not your thoughts. Your ways are sure and your love is everlasting.

Go with us, your children, today and order our steps according to your will and your way.

In the matchless and powerful name of our Chief Intercessor, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer.

Amen.

No Weapons…

24ca9495b7fc3133ebf8f258edeaa536--louise-hay-light-angel

We are covered.

I know this week as been an emotional one, full of ups and downs. However, in order to stay connected with the Vine, it’s time to get our spirits built up and energized. What better way to that than by praising God with a dance, this morning.

What does it mean to be covered by God?

It means knowing that NO spiritual weapons or traps will  be victorious in trying to destroy us.

Stay Close

It means that if we stay close to God that we will know what is coming. God always gives us a heads-up of the enemy’s plan, so that we can take out battle places and be ready.

Be Ready

If God puts on your heart to fast and pray for a few days or to go into a deeper level of Worship, there is a reason. He is trying to prepare and position you to stand your ground.

With the right spiritual preparation we become Bulletproof.  Amen

Isaiah 54:17

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

17 Weapons made to attack you
    won’t be successful;
words spoken against you
    won’t hurt at all.

My servants, Jerusalem is yours!
I, the Lord, promise
    to bless you with victory.

Everlasting God…

Redeemed, Case Closed…

Good morning and Happy Wednesday:

I hope this morning finds you in a state of happiness, gratefulness and joy. I know with so much going on in the world today, we sometimes forget about the war we have already won.

Before becoming a Christian, we made a very important decision. One day we decided that we desired to have a relationship with Jesus, the Christ.  What that decision meant is that our souls would forever be saved and after we transition from this life unto the next, we get to spend eternity in heaven with God.

What does it mean to have a soul that is Redeemed?

Colossians 1:12-14

New International Version (NIV)

12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

To be redeemed means that someone has paid a great price for someone else’s debt. The charge has been dismissed and one who was earlier in bondage is now free.

Take heart in knowing that as a child of God, when you say, “Yes” to Jesus, you say to freedom.

Please enjoy one of my favorite worship songs from Big Daddy Weave entitled , “Redeemed.”

ONE NATION, UNDER GOD…

American-flag-and-white-dove-of-peace-HD-Wallpapers-for-mobile-phones-and-laptops-1920x1080.jpg

Good morning,

Many of our hearts are so heavy this morning due to the tragedy in Las Vegas this weekend. The death toll and injury count keep going up.

Yesterday, I just cried and cried. My heart and my spirit were in so much pain. I’m confused and overwhelmed that one person, the shooter, could hold so much anger, pain, and hate in his soul.

We lift up this prayer to God for all of the lives and families that are now forever changed.

Father God

We pray for the comfort and peace of our hurting nation. Thank you that even in tragedy people came together as one. I pray that after the dust has settled that we will continue to remain connected.

We pray for the shooter’ s soul. His soul and heart had to be in a dark and hurting place. We pray for his family as they are in just as much shock as the rest of the country.

Father, we know that many people will blame you for this and ask why you allowed it to happen. You have given each  of us free will, to make choices both good and bad. Allow those people to see that you were there covering and protecting so many people. For those that turn away from you, because of this, may their hearts eventually find their way back to you.

In Jesus name,

Amen.

I love you, All. May we continue to be ONE NATION UNDER GOD.

LOVE,

Rev. Marcia Davis

Gratefulness…

Good morning, Most Loved Saints and Lights of God.

As you know, we begin every Monday with prayer. Please join me, in your secret place, as we go before the Throne of God.

To the Alpha and Omega, the One who sets the moon and the stars:

We come to you this morning with thankfulness and gratefulness in our hearts. We know that you placed all things into being. Allow us to seek your face in every situation. Help us to trust you, even when we don’t understand.

May we get to know more about who you are, through our intimate times of devotion with you. Illuminate the dark places. Use us to be a light unto others that are traveling along the path.

May we be ever sensitive to your voice and your Spirit.

In Jesus name,

Amen.

Psalm 100

New International Version (NIV)

Psalm 100

A psalm. For giving grateful praise.

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
    Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Hosanna in the Highest…

Good morning and Happy Praise Friday.

Question:

What is your praise report for the week? Please share and encourage others.

On Fridays, we set aside the morning to give God our highest and best praise.

I pray this week that we have all learned something new that we can use to make this world a better place.

May we each continue to shine as brightly as we can. May we consciously smile, wave, or give someone a hug this weekend.

May we help someone in need, instead of looking down in judgement. May every encounter we experience make God look good.

May every hard trial we have encountered this week be enclosed with a “Thank You” to God, because we know and understand that everything we go through is for our growth or God’s glory. Amen.

Hosanna in the highest!!! Prepare the Way of the Lord.

Please enjoy the worship video today performed by Kirk Franklin entitled, “Hosanna.”

Love and Hugs to you. (((Squeeze))))

Have a wonderful and safe weekend.

P.S. If you ever see me in the metro Atlanta area, stop me and say, “Hello.” I would love to meet you.

Prepare the Way…

Isaiah 40:2-5

The Message (MSG)

Messages of Comfort

Prepare for God’s Arrival

40 1-2 “Comfort, oh comfort my people,”
    says your God.
“Speak softly and tenderly to Jerusalem,
but also make it very clear
That she has served her sentence,
that her sin is taken care of—forgiven!
She’s been punished enough and more than enough,
and now it’s over and done with.”

3-5 Thunder in the desert!
    “Prepare for God’s arrival!
Make the road straight and smooth,
a highway fit for our God.
Fill in the valleys,
    level off the hills,
Smooth out the ruts,
    clear out the rocks.
Then God’s bright glory will shine
    and everyone will see it.
Yes. Just as God has said.”

What does it mean to prepare for someone’s arrival? What steps do we take for a special guest coming into our home?

We clean the house (Our temple). We want to make the best impression possible and make our guest feel at home.

So it is also when we await for God’s return. We use our time, here on earth, to prepare for the Lords return. After all we are the bride, awaiting for our Groom’s return.

I’d Rather See A Sermon

Poet Edgar Guest

I’D RATHER SEE A SERMON

I’d rather see a sermon than hear one any day; I’d rather one should walk with me than merely tell the way.

The eye’s a better pupil and more willing than the ear, Fine counsel is confusing, but example’s always clear; And the best of all preachers
are the men who live their creeds, For to see good put in action
is what everybody needs.

I soon can learn to do it if you’ll let me see it done; I can watch your hands in action, but your tongue too fast may run. And the lecture you deliver may be very wise and true, But I’d rather get my lessons
by observing what you do;

For I might misunderstand you and the high advice you give, But there’s no misunderstanding how you act and how you live.

  • How we show up in the world matters.
  • How we show up in the lives of others matters.
  • How we show up for God matters.
  • How we show up for ourselves matters.

The bible is not just a book to read. It is a manual to live by.

We must ask the Lord to order or steps every day.

Please enjoy the worship video performed by the GMWA Women of Worship as they perform the song entitled, “Order My Steps.”
