My Soul Says, “Yes.”

Psalm 19:7-14

New International Version

The law of the Lord is perfect,
    refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,
    making wise the simple.
The precepts of the Lord are right,
    giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant,
    giving light to the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is pure,
    enduring forever.
The decrees of the Lord are firm,
and all of them are righteous.

10 They are more precious than gold,
    than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey,
    than honey from the honeycomb.
11 By them your servant is warned;
in keeping them there is great reward.
12 But who can discern their own errors?
    Forgive my hidden faults.
13 Keep your servant also from willful sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then I will be blameless,
    innocent of great transgression.

14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
    be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

OUR PRAYER

Precious Heavenly Father,

We thank you for continually stretching and molding us to your will. May our response always be, “Yes,” when you have need of us. May our motivation be pure and led by love and not fear. We glorify your name and thank you for your most precious gift, Jesus Christ our Lord, Savior and Redeemer. It is in His name that we lift this prayer to you. Amen.

Love Anyway…

1 John 4:20

New International Version

20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.

OUR PRAYER:

Heavenly Father,

We glorify your name today. Each day, each morning, is a new chance to bring praises to you. May our love for you be also manifested in our love for our fellow man. Each person is our brother and sister. Lord, allow our love to make the News, instead of hate. Let forgiveness be our binder and grace be our glue. They will know we are yours by our love. Awaken our hearts to who we truly are in You, in Jesus name, Amen.

I’ll See You Again…

Good morning, Family:

A precious member of our church called me yesterday to check on me and to let me know about several church members that have passed on and transitioned to heaven. My husband and I sit in the section of the church with the senior members, because we love their wisdom, their worship, and their willingness to lead others in the right way.

When we do return to church and sit where we normally do, our hearts will break not seeing those lovely faces. Today, I honor them and tell them “Thank You” for all you shared while you were on this earth. You changed our lives. It was a joy to worship the King with you. I look forward to seeing you again.

Proclaiming the News…

Luke 2:8-14

New International Version

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

Lord Jehovah:

Thank you so much for your faithfulness and love toward us. During this time of the year the world celebrates the ultimate gift you gave the world. May the Gift that truly never stops giving be celebrated even more this year, as the world cries out for hope, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Savior and Holy Gift. Amen.

Thankfulness…

Colossians 2:6-7

New International Version

Spiritual Fullness in Christ

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Great Lord Jehovah:

I thank you for Everything. I thank you for everything that stretched me, strengthen me, molded me and posture me to worship. May my mouth, heart and life continually sing your praises and magnify Your name.

In times of uncertainty, I thank you, because I know you are with me. In times of joy, I thank you, because I know you are the Joy Giver. In times of bondage, I thank you, because you are a Strong Deliverer. In times of sickness, I thank you, because you are the Master Healer.

In all things, I give thanks to You. Keep me close to you Lord and never let me stray, in Jesus name. Amen.

What Shall We Call Him?

Isaiah 9:6

New International Version

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Father God,

In this season, we pause to say, “Thank You.” There is so much happening in our world today. We will never take so many things for granted. We are thankful for our health, our basic needs being met, and being able to reach out to our loved ones.

You gave us the ultimate gift, because we took for granted our personal relationship with you in the Garden of Eden. You came in the form of a human, with full knowledge of what the end would be.

You came and we can forever call you, Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace, Might God, Everlasting Lord, Emmanuel, Holy One, King of Kings. May we never again take for granted the Grace you have shown us. In Jesus name, Amen.

Love God, Love People..

Mark 12:30-31

New International Version

30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.

Father God,

The season of 2020 has brought so many things boling to the surface. We have taken our eyes off of you. Hatred, political unrest, pandemics, and so many other things have our focus. Man has looked to man for the answers. Lord God, bring things back into focus. Our eyes have been roaming for answers when the answer has been in front of us the whole time. May we return to our first love, which is You. As we love you, we will be authentic in our love for our fellow man. In Jesus name, Amen.

Waving Goodbye…

Proverbs 3:5-8

New International Version

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.[a]

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord and shun evil.
This will bring health to your body
    and nourishment to your bones.

OUR PRAYER

Father God, we know that you know the end from the beginning. We trust you in the process. We pray for our country and our leaders. May peace be restored to our country. May every spirit that is not like you be humbled and brought to its knees in submission to you, Jehovah.

In the time of anger, confusion and unrest, we line up everything by the plumb line of your Holy Word, Your Holy character and Your Holy order. We know that you are not the God of confusion. We place our complete trust in you and we understand that you alone have the final word.

We praise you right now, as we dance like David danced, and tell our worries goodbye. We are standing in faith and place our COMPLETE trust in you alone. We seal this prayer and offer it to you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Redeemer. Amen

I’m Sorry (Again). Please Change Me…

Psalm 51:10-17

Living Bible

10 Create in me a new, clean heart, O God, filled with clean thoughts and right desires. 11 Don’t toss me aside, banished forever from your presence. Don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me again the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. 13 Then I will teach your ways to other sinners, and they—guilty like me—will repent and return to you. 14-15 Don’t sentence me to death. O my God, you alone can rescue me. Then I will sing of your forgiveness,[a] for my lips will be unsealed—oh, how I will praise you.

16 You don’t want penance; if you did, how gladly I would do it! You aren’t interested in offerings burned before you on the altar

17 It is a broken spirit you want—remorse and penitence. A broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not ignore.

OUR PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father, we cry out to you for forgiveness and deliverance. We are sorry for breaking your heart over and over again. We know that you dont want one more “I’m Sorry,” but you want to see a change in our heart, mind, and finally our actions. Create in us a clean heart, Lord. Let not our prayers be words only, but through the victory we have in your Son, Jesus Christ, we know we have the victory. Help us not to listen to our flesh, but allow the Spirit of God to rise up in us. In the precious and holy name of Jesus. Amen

I’m Blessed…

Deuteronomy 28:6-9

New International Version

You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.

The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

8 The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.

9 The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him.

OUR PRAYER

Father God, we bless you for going before us to prepare a way. You have promised us, in your Word, when we come and when we go, we are blessed because our faces are turned toward you. No matter what it looks like, we are blessed. No matter what man says, we are blessed. Continue to lead us by your Holy Spirit and by your Word. In the name of our Redeemer and Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.
