The Choice is Yours…

Slide1

Good morning, Blessed Family:

As we get our day started, this morning,  there are some choices that we get to make. We will decide what to eat, what to wear, where to go and what to do. However, the biggest and most important choice we will have to make today is whom to serve. Will we serve ourself and the desires of our flesh or will we serve God? As for me and my houses, like Joshua, we will serve the Lord.

House has two meanings to me. First there is the actual structure made of brink, stone and mortar. Then there is our body which is the “house” that holds the Holy Spirit. Scripture says we are the house or temple of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 3:16)

Prayer of Service

Father God, we come to you today to say that we serve you with our whole heart, mind, soul, body and strength. Our desire to please you is far above our desire to please ourselves.

Spirit of the Living God, walk with us and lead us in the ways to go. We submit ourselves to the will of the heaven. Let our lives be a reflection of what has been desired and spoken in heaven.

We pray this prayer in the name of the One who intercedes for us, at the right hand of the Father, Jesus Christ Our Lord and Redeemer. Amen

Joshua 24:14-15

Modern English Version (MEV)

14 “Now fear the Lord, and serve Him with sincerity and faithfulness. Put away the gods your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord15 If it is displeasing to you to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve, if it should be the gods your fathers served beyond the River or the gods of the Amorites’ land where you are now living. Yet as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Go in peace, Family, while joyfully serving the Lord in all that you do. Make every action and thought an act of Worship. The more you train your flesh and your mind, the easier it will become. Start each day with the statement, “Today, I will serve the Lord. I command all aspects of who I am to submit to the authority of God, in Jesus name. Amen”

And so it is…
