Stepping Out On Faith…

Good morning, Family:

When you hear the words, “Just have a little faith,” what do those words mean to you? For me, it means trusting God. It means going past what my eyes, or circumstances, tells me and listening to the still small voice inside of me.

Stepping out on faith, for me, means that my faith, in God, is bigger than my fear. Do I get scared or nervous when I step out on faith? Of course I do. However, I know that God would never lead me to a place that he had not already prepared for me.

When I was younger, I used to love the music of a Contemporary Christian artist by the name of Rich Mullins. One particular song that would always give me strength was entitled Sometimes By Step (Step by Step). I would always feel so encouraged, after listening. Then I would pray to Jesus to help me make whatever journey was ahead of me. I knew that if I got up early in the morning, when everything was quiet, I would be able to hear my Lord’s voice.

Psalm 63:1-8

New International Version (NIV)

Psalm 63

A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah.

You, God, are my God,
    earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
    my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
    where there is no water.

I have seen you in the sanctuary
    and beheld your power and your glory.
Because your love is better than life,
    my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
    and in your name I will lift up my hands.
I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;
    with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

On my bed I remember you;
    I think of you through the watches of the night.
Because you are my help,
    I sing in the shadow of your wings.
I cling to you;
    your right hand upholds me.

Go in peace. Walk by faith and not by sight.

In His Amazing Love,
