Good morning, Beautiful Family:

Its Monday Morning!!!!

I hope all is well with your soul and you are  at peace.

I’m here drinking my coffee, as I prepare to begin writing today’s devotional.  I just keep seeing a light bulb and hearing the words, “You Light Up My Life.” 

If you are old enough, most people think of the popular song by Debbie Boone with the same title. However, when I say the “Light,” I’m speaking of the Light of Christ. We are called to be Lights, in this dark time and place. Now, more than ever, the world needs the Light that offers love, hope, and peace. 

Matthew 5:14-16

¹⁴ “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. ¹⁵ Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.¹⁶ In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that^[a] they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Walking in the Light

⁵ This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. ⁶ If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. ⁷ But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

Be blessed in all you do, today. See yourself as a Light, walking, all throughout the day. People wont know exactly what it is about you, but I’m sure someone will say, “I’m not sure what it is about you, but there is something different about you.” Allow God to shine in and through you today and every day. Use that opportunity to tell others where your “Light” comes from.
