23 I pray that God, who gives peace, will make you completely holy. And may your spirit, soul, and body be kept healthy and faultless until our Lord Jesus Christ returns.

My heart’s desire is for me to get my body to a place where if God says, “Marcia, I want you to go here or go there,” my only response to be, “Yes, Lord, send me, I will go.”

When the Word says that health is vital I take that seriously. When there are things that we can do to make ourselves healthier, I truly believe that we should take advantage of striving to achieve good health.

As someone who has struggles with weight, I know that every day is a day where I have to make healthy choices. I’m living not only for me but for the life I want to build with my husband and with my God.

I know that God has an awesome plan for my family’s life. I just want us to be ready for the call.

Help Each Other

My friends, you are spiritual. So if someone is trapped in sin, you should gently lead that person back to the right path. But watch out, and don’t be tempted yourself. You obey the law of Christ when you offer each other a helping hand.

If you think you are better than others, when you really aren’t, you are wrong. Do your own work well, and then you will have something to be proud of. But don’t compare yourself with others. We each must carry our own load.

Share every good thing you have with anyone who teaches you what God has said.

You cannot fool God, so don’t make a fool of yourself! You will harvest what you plant. If you follow your selfish desires, you will harvest destruction, but if you follow the Spirit, you will harvest eternal life. Don’t get tired of helping others. You will be rewarded when the time is right, if you don’t give up. 10 We should help people whenever we can, especially if they are followers of the Lord.

God is Able…

One of my favorite songs by Smokie Norful is entitled, “God is Able.” 

When I’m facing a challenge that feels too big for me, I play this song. Today is one of those days that I am facing a new mountain, but I know that God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than I can ask or think. 

I thank God, on this side of the mountain, for the victory. I’m praising God, Right Now!!!

If you have ever been stuck, trapped, or caught and couldn’t break free, it is a terrible feeling. Once freed, there is an immediate since of gratitude and thankfulness. You want every chance to tell people about your experience and how you were freed.

This is exactly how I felt when I truly gave my life over to Christ. Even though I accepted Jesus Christ, as my Lord and Savior, at a very young age, it wasnt until years later that I fully accepted and walked in my salvation. I did not truly understand the gift and power that I possessed, until I began learning and studying the Word of God.

This may be a controversial statement, but it is MY TRUTH.  I believe that there is a difference in the quality of a person’s life once they Accept and Walk in their salvation. What are you saying Marcia?

What I’m saying is that it takes time for most people to understand the fullness of salvation. It takes time of studying and having intimate relationship and fellowship, with Christ, to FULLY grasp what salvation has done. With salvation comes power, authority, dominion and a great inheritance. The only way most people find out these things is by spending quality time with God, by chasing after God.

It’s like having the winning lottery ticket in your pocket but not realizing you are the winner. You will not benefit from the ticket and all it has to offer, until you redeem the ticket and receive the prize. Yes, you have already won, but you haven’t taken advantage of being a winner. (No, I am not promoting gambling. This is just an analogy)

ALERT: The most used tactic of Satan is to keep the body of Christ ignorant to who they truly are. Satan knows if we EVER found out and truly walked in our authority, we would turn this world upside Right.

Husbands and Wives…

Ephesians 5:22-33

22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her26 to make her holy, cleansing[a] her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body. 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”[b] 32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Marriage is a covenant between a man and a woman. A Christian marriage is a covenant between a man, a woman and God. 

When my husband and I got engaged, I began reading the book, “Power of a Praying Wife,” by Stormie Omartin. The book gave me so much insight into the biblical, spiritual, physical and emotional role of a wife. It helped me understand why my role is so important to my husband. I truly believe that being a wife is a calling. I believe, with all my heart, that I was called to be my husband’s wife. 

There is also a book for the husbands entitled, “Power of a Praying Husband.” The book is also written by Stormie, but her husband Michael wrote the Forward section of the book. 

No matter where you are in your marital journey, I would recommend that you and your spouse, or spouse to be, read these books. Make it a time of daily or weekly devotion with each other. Allow the books to facilitate prayer, conversation, and learning. I also recommend that you each start a journal to document your journey together.

May God continue to bless your marriage and may you always keep each other first. Be vigilant in loving, respecting, honoring and protecting each other. Ask God to help you to continue to learn each other and grow. Nothing should come before your spouse, except for God.
