Right now, there are many that are on the verge of giving up or losing hope. I stand in front of you and speak life into your soul. The God that we serve is exceedingly and abundantly able to do more than we can ask or think.
Leave your problems and fears on the alter. Trust and believe that the God we serve is bigger and greater than your situation. Leave all of them on the alter and proclaim, in belief, “Lord, do it!” Stand back, in faith, and give God your Best Praise.
Ephesians 3:14-21
New King James Version (NKJV)
Appreciation of the Mystery
14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
I love you with an amazing and everlasting love. Stand firm and have faith.
I always find it interesting when the name and works of Jesus are downplayed or dismissed as an every occurrence. The Trinity of God is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. This week is Holy Week. If at no other time in Christendom does the work of the Trinity come into play as it does this week.
Yesterday, Palm Sunday, was the start of Holy Week. Which is the week leading up to Jesus’s death, burial and resurrection. This week, those of us that call ourselves Christians, is the whole reason we can call ourselves saved. We have been bought with a price. A very expensive price. The cost of God’s only begotten Son. Remember to always honor the value, and live life with thankgiving, for the price that was paid for our lives.
This morning, Lord, as we head into the weekend and into Holy Week, we proclaim that you are a Good God and your mercy endures forever and ever and ever.
Thank you, Jesus!!!
Psalm 100
Contemporary English Version (CEV)
(A psalm of praise.)
The Lord Is God
100 Shout praises to the Lord, everyone on this earth. 2 Be joyful and sing as you come in to worship the Lord!
3 You know the Lord is God! He created us, and we belong to him; we are his people, the sheep in his pasture.
4 Be thankful and praise the Lord as you enter his temple. 5 The Lord is good! His love and faithfulness will last forever.
I love you with an amazing and everlasting love. I praise God for each and everyone reading this devotional. May you experience the goodness and faithfulness of God for yourself. May your lifestyle and life reflect your relationship with an AMAZING God.
If you have never experienced the love and goodness of God, I pray that you would go deeper into your sacred journey with Jesus. Feel free to reach out to me or another brother or sister in the Lord. We would all be happy to encourage and pray with you. We all have a testimony, of God’s goodness, that we would be willing to share.
One of my favorite songs, when I was younger, was a song sung by Joe Cocker entitled, “You Are So Beautiful.” Most people wouldn’t normally think about it being a gospel song, but it’s the song that Spirit and I sing to each other.
When I’m loving on God and I’m having an especially sacred time with the Holy Spirit, I will begin to hear this song in my heart. I feel the pure love of God flowing over me. Then I begin to sing it out loud and the tears flow.
I understand the Psalmist’s heart:
Psalm 27:4
New International Version (NIV)
4 One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.
This morning, I’m sharing “Our” song with you. As we approach Resurrection Sunday, think about what Love God had for us. Think about the Beauty of the Cross. Think about the angels’ glorious song on that third day, when Jesus conquered the bondage of sin and death and showed up with ALL POWER IN his hands…then sing this song.
19 I pray that God will take care of all your needs with the wonderful blessings that come from Christ Jesus!
One of the things my husband and I say, and remind each other of, when things don’t go as planned, is that “It could have been another way.” We understand that life is good and God is even better.
This morning, we had many scenarios of how life could have turned out. I’m here to say, “The Lord is blessing me and us, right now, right now.” Meditate on the blessings of God today. Thank Him for keeping you and covering you. Even when we make choices that are not the best, God, in His perfection, always loves us and guides us through.
A dear sister in Christ, and a faithful supporter of the morning devotionals, sent me the devotional song this morning. It is a beautiful reminder, by Avery Sunshine, that the Lord continues to bless us, even now.
I invite you to meditate, and hold in your heart, today’s scripture passage and worship video. As children of God, we are heirs and coheirs to the Kingdom. Don’t allow anyone or anything to steal from your presence, or your mind, that you are saved, covered, delivered and free.
Live like you know who you are!!!!
I dare you!!!
Philippians 2:6-11
Contemporary English Version (CEV)
6 Christ was truly God. But he did not try to remain equal with God. 7 Instead he gave up everything and became a slave, when he became like one of us.
8 Christ was humble. He obeyed God and even died on a cross. 9 Then God gave Christ the highest place and honored his name above all others.
10 So at the name of Jesus everyone will bow down, those in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. 11 And to the glory of God the Father everyone will openly agree, “Jesus Christ is Lord!”
Metro Atlanta is now being called the “New Hollywood.” So many movies are being filmed in Georgia. What is the first thing that comes to mind, when you think of the making of a movie? For me, it is the director who yells, “Action or Cut.”
For many of us, we are the directors in our own lives. We have to know when to yell, “Action” and also when to yell, “Cut.”
Many of you that know my past, you know that I have a great fondness for some of the practices and teaching of Buddhism. Before any of you start emailing me, yes, most definitely I am a Christian. I just believe that every moment can be a teachable moment.
One of the things that the Dali Lama XIV said is, “Don’t try to use what you learn from Buddhism to be a Buddhist, use it to be a better whatever-you-already-are.”
As Christians, our goal should be to make God the Father, God the Holy Spirit and God the Son look good. The triune of God should show up in our living, our talking, our interactions and our reactions with everyone we meet. When life happens, and you wake up in morning, God says, “Ready, Set, ACTION” how will you respond? How will you Show Up?
Today’s video is not a song, but rather a thought. Be open to being better…
Today will probably be one of the shortest, but most powerful devotions I have done. Today’s message is simply what I heard in my spirit.
This is what I heard the Spirit of the Lord say to me this morning:
“Everything you need and want is at My Table. All I ask is that you sit and dine with Me. Everything that you need is already prepared in heaven. All you have to do is come into agreement with My will. Ask for things to be manifested On Earth as they ALREADY ARE here in heaven. Come and Dine with Me. Get to know My heart. Learn of Me.”
Have you been in water, whether it was a swimming pool, lake, river, or an ocean and just floated on the water? You relaxed on the water and just allowed the water to take you wherever the current was flowing. The muscles in your body released all their tension, you closed your eyes and relaxed into a natural bliss.
So it is as we surrender our lives to God. We lay our lives on the alter and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us. But what happens, for an instant, when we think that the water doesn’t have us? We lose faith in the power of the water. We tense up and move from our relaxed position and start swimming against the current? So it is when we stop trusting God and take control back. Why do we the “Created” believe that we know more about ourselves than the One who created us?
Allow today’s worship video to wash over you. Lay back and rest in the Creator’s arms.
