BLESSED…

Deuteronomy 28:1-7

Amplified Bible (AMP)
1 If you will listen diligently to the voice of the Lord your God, being watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.

2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you if you heed the voice of the Lord your God.

3 Blessed shall you be in the city and blessed shall you be in the field.

4 Blessed shall be the fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your beasts, the increase of your cattle and the young of your flock.

5 Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading trough.

6 Blessed shall you be when you come in and blessed shall you be when you go out.

7 The Lord shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.

The Shack

Earlier this week, I asked my husband if we could have unconventional church today.

We got up went to breakfast and then went to see The Shack. I read the book many years ago, so I knew what a beautiful story it was, if it stayed true to the book. 📖

I was pleasantly surprised and it was a wonderful movie. 🎥 The Shack explains, in a beautiful way, how the Holy Spirit, Jesus and God all work together in three seperate rolls but still as One.

I cried tears of love, joy and pain. Being in relationship with God isn’t always easy to understand, but it is beautiful.

I wish you well in your journey, no matter where you are on the Path.

Use The Bridge

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERASometimes, the Universe speaks to me in many different ways. It may be through scripture, through nature or even a song.

Today, this song is playing in my heart and I wanted to share it with you.

Be blessed and know that Infinite  Love is the bridge.

“Bridge Over Troubled Water”

When you’re weary, feeling small,

When tears are in your eyes
I will dry them all
I’m on your side
When times get rough
And friends just can’t be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

When you’re down and out
When you’re on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you
I’ll take your part
When darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

Sail on, silvergirl
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way
See how they shine
If you need a friend
I’m sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind

The Secret Place, Make Time…

Psalm 91

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Our lives moves fast and before we notice it the day is almost over. What is important is making time for God. It’s about disciplining our spirit to go to the Source every day.

I notice that if I go more than a couple of days without my prayer time and intimate time with God, my whole life is out of synch.

As children of God, we were not created to live separately from our Creator. Take the time to stop, listen and worship.

If you need a place to start, I always recommend the book of Psalm, Proverbs, Luke, and Ephesians. The more you read God’s word the more you will be able to hear His voice.

Before you began to study the Word of God, pray and ask God to give you understanding. Ask for the Word to illuminate your life.

Start where you are comfortable and enjoy the journey. I would love to know how things have changed or improved in your life, since making purposeful time with God.

As you grow, you will begin to see and understand so much more. Secret things will be revealed and some mysteries will be made plain.

Reach out to me and share. I would love to hear from you.

Be blessed and be well,

Marcia

Advanced Praise, Now Faith…

Hebrews 11:1

New International Version (NIV)

11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

The writer of Hebrews calls it “Now” Faith. He could have easily started the sentence with the word Faith, but God inspired the writer to say, “Now Faith”.

What is Now Faith? It is the kind of faith that calls forth power, authority and an assuredness. It is the kind of faith that when God speaks a Word, it is received and acted upon. Now faith means when the Word is spoken we move into action and take our new position, title or blessing.

In Luke 1:46-49, Mary demonstrated, Now Faith. She received a Word from God that stirred up so much praise in her spirit that she sang this song of joy, faith, and promise:

Luke 1:45-49

New International Version (NIV)

45 Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”

Mary’s Song

46 And Mary said:

“My soul glorifies the Lord
47     and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
48 for he has been mindful
of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed,
49     for the Mighty One has done great thingsfor me—
    holy is his name.

What is your “Now Faith” Song of Praise? What promises has God spoken over you? Did you respond when God spoke to you. If so, what was your response?

God is working it out for my good…

Romans 8:28

New International Version (NIV)

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

As believers, it may not always feel like God is working things out, for the good, in our favor. The bible mentions that our thoughts are not like God’s thoughts and our ways are not like His ways and that He knows the end from the very beginning.  Since God is omnipresent, omnipotent and the same yesterday, today and forever we have to trust the process.

It took me a long time to understand and comprehend when the older and more mature saints of God would tell me to pray using the Word of God. The more I studied, I understood that the Word is my spiritual weapon. It is my sword.

I invite you to practice praying using the Word of God. If it worked for Jesus, when he was being tempted, surely it will work for us.

Meditate on the following passages today and this week, then put them in prayer form. Write me back and let me know how you felt and what results took place. Your testimony may bless someone else so please dont be afraid to share with us.

Scripture passages: Romans 8, Isaiah 55:8-9, and Ephesians 6:10-20

Study to show yourself approved (2 Timothy 2:15)

Study to show yourself approved.
As a Christian, one of the wonderful things God has blessed me with is the ability to talk to almost anyone.

As a minister and a counselor, it is imperative that I present myself with an open heart to all.
Please know the difference between having a open heart and being luke warm. Luke warm, as a Christian, means a person’s decisions, thoughts and actions can be easily swayed by any new doctrine, idea or behavior, like a child being tossed by the water or wind of the air (Ephesians 4:14). However, having an open and loving heart means that you can love anyone without judgement. Dont worry, I will explain further.

We are called Christians because we are followers of Christ. We follow the examples that he left for us in the bible. In the bible, when a person demonstrated a behavior that went against the Law, Jesus’s response was always Love First and then correction or forgiveness second. That is also our instruction and the divine order cannot be changed. Love FIRST, THEN correction and forgiveness second.

As Christians we can sometimes be the most judgemental and hard-hearted people. I emplore us all to stand in the nature and character of Christ. Remember who you are and remember whose you are. We have all, at one point, eaten at the table of Grace and Mercy. The fact is that God loved ALL OF US so much that he came in the flesh to Love us first and to forgive us second. The Cross First, the empty tomb second.

Please meditate on Isaiah 53 in your quite time. Listen with your heart.

Our help and strength….

During the happy and joyful times, it’s always easy to praise the Lord. The test comes when the waters get rough and the trials get hard.

As Christians, when we go through hurt and pain, our natural instinct is to sometimes curl up in a ball and cry, “why me?” It is in those times that we need to call on the Lord even more. When circumstances in life shake your marriage, your job, your children, your family, or your health, the first thing many people do is panic.

Jesus promises to be our help and strength in times of trouble and our peace in the mist of the storm. The next time a trial comes and believe me it will come, dont panic, call on your Strength and stand in the shadow of His wings.

Meditate today on the following scripture passages: Psalm 28:7 & Psalm 121:2 & Psalm 91.

The Joy of the Lord…

Psalm 28:7

New King James Version (NKJV)

The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him.

I have learned over the years that happiness and joy are NOT the same thing. When things are not going my way, or Im having a challenging season of my life, I may not always be happy, but I have continual joy.

As mentioned above in the 28th Book of Psalms, as Christians, our joy comes from a higher Source. Our strength comes from a God who is greater and bigger than any of our problems.

The bible tells us, in Psalms 121,  to look to the Hills for our help, because our help comes from the Lord. I know that for everything I need,  I can go to God in prayer. The word says in Matthew 21:18-22 that if we ask in faith, BELIEVING, we will receive.

Be abundantly blessed and filled with JOY,

Marcia Davis

First Impressions….

Anyone that knows my husband knows that he is an impeccable dresser. He always looks very polished and put together. I asked him one day where he learned to dress so well. He said, “My father always told me to dress how I wanted to be treated.” I thought about what he said and how powerful and useful that piece advice was from his father.

As Christians, the word of God gives us similar advice on how to present ourselves.  Romans 12:1-2 is a great example.

Romans 12:1-2

New International Version (NIV)

A Living Sacrifice

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

As you go about your day, put your best foot forward, not just in how you dress, but also in how you speak, how you think and how you treat others.

Be vigilant in protecting what you allow in your mind. Is the music you listen to positive or inspirational? Are the people you associate with of good character? Are you conscious of the TV and social media you or your children watch?

We, including myself, all have room to grow. I encourage us all to strive to be the very best versions of ourselves.

Now, Ive got the 1970’s Coca-Cola song in my head. Yes, Im telling my age…

Have a great day today. Send and show love and respect to every sentient being you encounter. I love you with an Amazing Love. ((((Hugs))))
