Thinking Things Over…

Good morning, Precious Family:

Thank you all for your kind words as I took a much needed hiatus. Life is still super busy, but it is manageable, as I have had to learn a new faster past.

This morning, I woke up with the song, “I’ve Got a Testimony.” Part of the song says,”When I look  back over my life and I think things over. I can truly say that I’ve been blessed. I have a testimony.”

Family, with all that I have been through, all the good, bad, and different things in-between, I, too, can truly say that I have been blessed. No matter what the oceans of my life are doing, the presence of God has maintained a constant peace in my heart, mind, and soul.

What is your testimony, family? What has God brought you out of? What can you truly say about the goodness of the Lord?

Holy Scriptures

Acts 22:6-21

Holman Christian Standard Bible

Paul’s Testimony

“As I was traveling and near Damascus, about noon an intense light from heaven suddenly flashed around me. I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’

“I answered, ‘Who are You, Lord?’

He said to me, ‘I am Jesus the Nazarene, the One you are persecuting!’ Now those who were with me saw the light,[a] but they did not hear the voice of the One who was speaking to me.

10 Then I said, ‘What should I do, Lord?’

And the Lord told me, ‘Get up and go into Damascus, and there you will be told about everything that is assigned for you to do.’

11 Since I couldn’t see because of the brightness of that light, I was led by the hand by those who were with me, and came into Damascus. 12 Someone named Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good reputation with all the Jews residing there, 13 came and stood by me and said, ‘Brother Saul, regain your sight.’ And in that very hour I looked up and saw him. 14 Then he said, ‘The God of our fathers has appointed you to know His will, to see the Righteous One, and to hear the sound of His voice.[b] 15 For you will be a witness for Him to all people of what you have seen and heard. 16 And now, why delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins by calling on His name.’

17 After I came back to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple complex, I went into a visionary state 18 and saw Him telling me, ‘Hurry and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not accept your testimony about Me!’

19 But I said, ‘Lord, they know that in synagogue after synagogue I had those who believed in You imprisoned and beaten. 20 And when the blood of Your witness Stephen was being shed, I was standing by and approving,[c] and I guarded the clothes of those who killed him.’

21 Then He said to me, ‘Go, because I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’”

Nothing Else Matters…

Good morning, Precious Family:

I pray all is well and you are in a place of perfect peace in the Lord. I was grounded the last couple of weeks due to COVID hitting me and my husband hard. I am still healing and getting stronger. Thanks be to God, that my praise and worship of the Most High God did not shake or waiver.

When everything is said and done, nothing else matters except our relationship with the Triune God, consisting of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. If our spiritual life is out of synch, every other area of our lives will be out of synch.

Scriptures of Decision

Joshua 24:14-15

New King James Version

14 “Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of [a]the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord! 15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of [b]the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Songs of Worship and Praise

Family, please search your heart today. If there is anything that is blocking the path to God in your life, I pray that you lay it before God and repent. Open up your heart to God and allow the amazing, pure, and holy love of God to overtake every cell, atom, and molecule of your body.

Open your mouth and communicate with God. Go back to the heart of worship and stay there. I love you all with the amazing and everlasting love of our Lord and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, in whom we live, move, and have our being. Amen and Amen.

Continuous Praise…

Good morning, Precious Family:

I hope you are peacefully dwelling in the love and shadow of God. This morning, I think about the fact that so many things are happening in the world around us and directly to us.

I remember a good lesson that I’ve heard several times over the years. What matters most, in any situation we may find ourselves, is whether we respond or react. I know reacting with emotions is easy to do in a stressful situation. I think that most of the time, most of us respond with love, grace, and patience.

No matter what you are faced with this week, I pray that you would pause to make sure that love is leading and guiding your thoughts, will, and emotions.

Scriptures of Hope

Psalm 91

New International Version

Psalm 91

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

Surely he will save you
    from the fowler’s snare
    and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
    to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
    and show him my salvation.”

Family,

I love you with the everlasting and never-ending love of Jesus, the Christ.

Training and Discipline…

Good morning, Precious Family:

I pray that this week’s Devotional finds you in a place of peace and abundant joy. Joy, not in the earthly sense, but rather joy that comes from the inside of your deepest belly. A Godly joy and peace that’s in your innermost being, letting you know that everything is going to be alright.

This week’s devotional centers around discipline and training. Most of us have heard or read the Proverb that speaks of training a child in the way that they must go.

Do you know that as Children of God, there is no age limit in regards to discipline and training. If God sees that there is something in us that needs to be corrected or instructed, God, as our Father, loves us enough to prepare us and mature us in the faith. Whether we are 8 years old or 80, we are still eligible for training and discipline, Amen.

Scriptures of Wisdom

Proverbs 22:1-6

Living Bible

22 If you must choose, take a good name rather than great riches; for to be held in loving esteem is better than silver and gold.

The rich and the poor are alike before the Lord who made them all.

A prudent man foresees the difficulties ahead and prepares for them; the simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

True humility and respect for the Lord lead a man to riches, honor, and long life.

The rebel walks a thorny, treacherous road; the man who values his soul will stay away.

Teach a child to choose the right path, and when he is older, he will remain upon it.

How Great!!!

Good morning, Precious Family:

I pray this week finds you in mindset of thankfulness and gratitude. We have so much to be thankful for each day.

One of the hardest lessons I had to learn years ago was that no matter the circumstance, I had to have an attitude of thankfulness and gratitude.

When life seems that it can not possibly get any more challenging or trying, that is the time to give God thanks. I know what I’m saying sounds completely backward, but it doesn’t make it any less true.

The purpose of having a spirit of thanksgiving is because it is a posture of worship. Worship is a second by second and minute by minute active posture. Our posture tells God that we trust the process of the perfect work of the cross being completed in us until we see God face to face.

Scriptures of Hope and Promises

Philippians 1:6

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.

Song of Worship and Praise

Family, I am confident in God’s love. It gives me hope and peace. May this same hope and peace be with you at all times and in every circumstance.

I love you all with the amazing and everlasting love of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Savior, and Redeemer. Amen.

Amazing Grace…

Good morning, Precious Family:

Do you ever wonder how many times Grace and Mercy had to be dispatched on your behalf? I’m scared to even ask about the number of times. The greatest blessing is that the Word of God says that our mistakes and trespasses were thrown into the sea of forgetfulness.

I still get mad about things that happened to me 100 years ago…. but not God. If we confess with our mouths and are truly remorseful in our hearts, then our repentance is real. God is faithful to cleanse our sins. Let’s read the scripture passages below:

Scriptures of Thankfulness and Praise

1 John 1:9

English Standard Version

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Micah 7:19

English Standard Version

19 He will again have compassion on us;
he will tread our iniquities underfoot.
You will cast all our[a] sins
into the depths of the sea.

Psalm 103:1-5

English Standard Version

Bless the Lord, O My Soul
Of David.

103 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name!
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits,
3 who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit,
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
5 who satisfies you with good
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Song of Worship and Thanksgiving

AMAZING

I know that we all have different starting points and ending points in our journey. The main thing I want us ALL to remember is that we are never walking alone, Amen.

Share God’s love, grace, and mercy today. Is there anyone you need to forgive? Confess to God your heart and ask him to heal your broken places. Then, forgive the person or persons that is in your heart. If they are no longer living, say that you forgive them outloud. Then, live your life in peace, gratitude, and gratefulness to the Lord.

I love you with the amazing and never-ending love of the Lord. Go in peace and serve him as you serve others.

Total Praise…

Good morning, Precious Ones:

We give God total praise for a new year. We give God total praise for health and strength.

This year will be a year of walking the path of our destiny. Last year, we may have taken time for granted, thinking that much more time was available. This season, every minute, every second, and every hour has to count. Take nothing for granted. This year must be walked in obedience and truth.

Psalm 121

New International Version

A song of ascents.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip—
    he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you—
    the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm—
    he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Richard Smallwood Total Praise

May the magnificent God we serve bless you and allow you to finish your race with joy and praise.

I love you all with the amazing and everlasting love of Christ Jesus,

Let Love Lead…

Greetings Precious Family:

Greetings, Precious Family:

First, don’t panic. Our trust has never been in man, but it has always been in God. Ok, so now I will back track. Yesterday, many states around the country had their mid-term election. Some folks woke up this morning happy and some woke up sad, disappointed, and concerned. Hence, my opening sentence of “Don’t Panic.”

Our lives are lived for God. Our walk is in the shadow of Christ. Our guidance is from our dependence on the internal leading of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.

Do we want a repeat of rouge Americans storming the Capital, of course not. Our country was built on democracy. The will of the people, for the people and by the people. ALL PEOPLE. Anything else is not a true reflection of our founding fathers.

What is our role as Christians? We are to show love, mercy, grace, long suffering, patience, kindness and hope. Any other characteristic is not a true reflection of Christ.

Here is my question to all of us who say we love God. Who is the ruler over your life? Is your ruler a political figure or is it God Almighty? Is your ruler your emotions or is it the Word of God? We all have room to grow.

My prayer, for each of our journeys’ on the Path, is that before people see us they see Jesus. May those you meet be better because of how you treated them. No matter what person’s color, race, ethnicity, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, disability, or (insert differences here), their encounter with us should be the same. May how we treat them, as representatives of the Cross, be the same. Only God can change a person’s heart. Our job is to love first. Period.

Colossians 3:1-4

English Standard Version

Put On the New Self

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your[a] life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

In closing, may the love of God lead you in every single area of your live. Leave no parts hidden away. Love with all of you. Love with your liver. Love with your eyes. Love with your smile. Love with your feet. Love with your hands. Watch how your life will change once you make a choice to love.

Go in peace. while loving, serving, and praising the Lord.

Skin to Skin…

Good morning, Precious Ones:

As a woman who was never able to carry, or birth, a child, one of my greatest joys is watching a woman bring life into the world.

I love watching the pregnancy process through each trimester. The glow a mother has as she imagines how her baby bump will look in the first trimester. Everyone is excited and praying that mom and baby stay healthy.

The second trimester mom is truly starting to “show” that she is carrying a life inside of her. She begins the process of nesting and preparing for baby’s arrival. There is a little discomfort and strange cravings begin to emerge. It is important that mom takes care of herself by eating healthy, taking the right vitamins and minerals, and following whatever orders the doctor gives.

The third trimester is here. Everything is getting uncomfortable and swollen and mom has aches in her feet, back, and shoulders. Toward the end of the third trimester she begins to have slight contractions. Is it time?!! Her water breaks, signalling that the time is at hand. Yes, it is time…

Mom pushes and screams. She has never experienced so much pain, fear, joy, and hope all at the same time. Then there is a holy hush as the doctor lay the beautiful and healthy baby directly on mom’s chest, skin to skin. The skin to skin time is the most precious and intimate time immediately after the child is born. The baby is comforted by mom’s warmth and her heartbeat.

I said all of that to say so it is also with the new season that God has been preparing for us. Spiritually, we are in the contraction phase of our third trimester. God is preparing us to meet our new season. Our water just broke!!!! The Living Water has given us a fresh anointing for the new season. The time is almost here

Jesus is patting our brow and telling us to remember all that we prepared for including our breathing. We are experiencing joy, fear, hope, and happiness for this new season we have never seen. When the time is right God will let us know when it is time to push…

This new season will be what we have longed for, prayed for, cried for, and prepared for… We are getting ready!!!

Today’s worship video is almost 20 minutes long. I pray that you could get in a quiet place and allow the worship to flow through you. Don’t just listen, join in the worship. Allow the Holy Spirit to reveal what is being birthed in you. Thank you to Maverick City Music for such an amazing worship session. This video blessed me so much.

Please enjoy, “Getting Ready” by Maverick City Music.

Honey In The Rock…

Good morning, Precious Ones:

I pray this post finds you all in perfect health and peace in your mind, body, spirit. I pray that you are encouraged to continue to walk out your walk of faith daily. I pray that Love is guiding all of your actions today.

I pray that you will be persuaded to show Love to those you encounter today, whether in person, over the phone, or even through social media.

Today someone will need to know about hope. There will be several chances today for all of us to glorify God.

In my kitchen, on my chalkboard, I wrote a few months ago, “Did you make God proud today?” I purposely make myself accountable every day. I understand my life is not just about me. It’s bigger than me and it’s bigger than us. Yes, some days I fall short, praise God, but I know that each day, each moment, each minute is brand new. Don’t waste your grace, use it wisely.

Psalm 81:16 says that in God we have everything we need. God is more than enough to satisfy us. There is honey in The Rock!!! Oh how sweet it is to trust in you Jesus.

Today’s worship video features Brooke Ligertwood and Brandon Lake and cowritten by Mitch Wong. I always blast my radio when I hear this song. I pray that it blesses you the way it does me. I can’t wait for our church to sing this song.

Be blessed family. Everything is going to be ok. God has everything you need to satisfy you.
