Good morning, Precious Family:

I hope this week’s devotional finds you filled with peace, hope, love, and joy. I pray all four things are a part of your life as a result of your walk with Christ Jesus. Peace, hope, love, and joy, not as the world gives, as the world’s ways are fleeting and temporary.

In today’s desire for instant gratification and satisfaction of the flesh, many people sound like Veruca Salt from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory singing, ‘I Want It Now.’ When instead we should sound more like Men of Standard singing, ‘In Your Will.’

What does it mean to know the Lord’s will? There are no shortcuts. Knowing the Lord’s will requires time spent together with the Lord by reading the Word of God, praying, and becoming sensitive to the voice and moving of the Holy Spirit.

    that I may rely on your faithfulness;

    that I may fear your name.

Psalm 86:9-13

Living Bible

9 All the nations—and you made each one—will come and bow before you, Lord, and praise your great and holy name. 10 For you are great and do great miracles. You alone are God.

11 Tell me where you want me to go and I will go there. May every fiber of my being unite in reverence to your name. 12 With all my heart I will praise you. I will give glory to your name forever, 13 for you love me so much! You are constantly so kind! You have rescued me from deepest hell.

Our Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We open our mouths this morning and give you all the praise, glory, and honor that is due your name. We thank you Father for your steadfast love and faithfulness toward us. We lift our hands, in worship, to You in the heavens. Continuously keep our hearts faithfully turned toward you, in the name of Jesus we to pray. Amen.
