Day 48 of 365: Peace, Be Still

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, sometimes I find myself in situations where there is no handbook or directions to go by in order to make a tough decision. My only barometer is the peace I feel in my spirit.

The only time I know that I have made the correct decision is when the Peace of God settles in my soul.

What is it about the peace of God? Why is it such a powerful force?

In the fourth chapter of the Gospel of Mark is the account of Jesus calming the wind and the sea just by saying these three simple words..”Peace…Be….Still”.

Scripture Passage of the Day

Mark 4:37-39
New King James Version
37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. 38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”

39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, thank you for allowing your peace to be our quiet place. It is your peace and presence that always assures us that you are with us, no matter what storms or kaos we may be facing. All we have to do is stand firm in our faith, knowing that you are always here. In your name we pray.

And we let it be…And so it is…

Amen, Amen, and Amen
