Day 108 of 365: One Day Won’t Matter…

Greetings, Precious Family;

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, when you hear the words covenant and promise, what comes to mind?

For me, I immediately think about the weight of those words. A covenant is not casual. A promise is not light. There is trust attached to it. There is expectation attached to it. There is preparation attached to it.

If a covenant is broken, what happens next?
Does trust shift?
Does opportunity change?
Was that commitment preparing me for something greater?

The title of my devotional this evening is “One Day Won’t Matter…”

But the truth is — one day does matter.

Especially when God has given clear instructions and a timeline.

This is not legalism. This is not fear. This is not striving for perfection.

This is the response of someone who has experienced the abundant mercy and unmerited grace of a loving God… and wants to honor Him.

The instruction was clear: 365 devotionals in 2026. No more. No less.

And I have come to understand that before these devotionals are for anyone else — they are for me.

Writing every single day is producing something in me:

Discipline.
Consistency.
Accountability.
Faithfulness.
Obedience.

Missing one day might seem small. But obedience is built in the small things.
Based on how much I have grown in 107 days, I am filled with anticipation for who I will be when I write devotional 365. I believe I will be a better version of myself — not for applause, but for the glory of God.

Thank you for walking this journey with me. I honor you. I pray for you.

And the next time you partake in Holy Communion, remember the covenant Christ made with you — and the covenant you made with Him.

Scripture Passage of the Day

Ephesians 3:14-21
New King James Version
Appreciation of the Mystery

14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father [a]of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer of the Day

Spirit of the Living God, Thank You for being a covenant-keeping God. Thank You for never breaking Your promises, never wavering in Your faithfulness, and never withdrawing Your love.
Lord, if You have given us instructions, let us not treat them lightly. Give us hearts that honor what You speak. Teach us that obedience in the small things prepares us for greater glory ahead.
Forgive us for the times we have said, “One day won’t matter.” Remind us that every day is an opportunity to grow, to mature, and to reflect You more clearly.
Strengthen our discipline.
Deepen our consistency.
Refine our obedience.
And anchor us in faithfulness.
As we remember the covenant made through Christ, may we never forget the cost… and may we respond with gratitude and commitment.
Shape us through every assignment You give us. Let our growth bring You glory. We lift this prayer to our Chief Intercessor, Christ Jesus. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

And we let it beAnd So it is…

Amen, Amen, and Amen.
