Day 105 of 365: Just To Be Close To You…

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, I’m going to get right to the point this evening.

As Christians, most of us are familiar with the Ten Commandments. They are what many Christian families know and reference most often. But for those who study a little deeper, we understand that under the Mosaic Law there were not just ten commandments — there were 613.

In the Old Testament, there were detailed laws and instructions for nearly every aspect of life — from how to properly sacrifice an animal to everyday lifestyle practices. The Law was comprehensive and precise.

What I find most interesting is when Jesus was asked by a Pharisee which commandment was the greatest (Matthew 22:36–40). Without hesitation, Jesus answered: first, to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind; and second, to love your neighbor as yourself.
Out of 613 laws, Jesus narrowed it down to love.

We were created in the image and likeness of God for the purpose of having an intimate, worshipful relationship with Him. Because humanity could not perfectly uphold the law, God, in His great love, humbled Himself and came in human form as the ultimate sacrifice — removing every barrier that could hinder a relationship with Him.

What an amazing and precious love this is, family.

Don’t take it for granted. Don’t allow anyone, any politics, or anything to take the place of God in your life. When everything else is stripped away, what remains is a Savior who simply wants to be close to you.

And that has always been His heart.

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, Thank You for desiring to be close to us. Thank You that beyond every command and instruction, Your heart has always been about love and relationship.

Lord, teach us to love You with all of our heart, all of our soul, and all of our mind. Remove anything within us that competes for Your place. Strip away distractions, pride, fear, and anything that tries to take priority over intimacy with You.

Jesus, thank You for humbling Yourself and becoming the ultimate sacrifice so that nothing could stand between us and the Father. Help us never to take that gift for granted.

Draw us closer. Soften our hearts. Align our lives with Your greatest commandment — to love You fully and to love others well.

We want to be near You, Lord, just as You desire to be near us. We lift this prayer to you. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer.

And we let it be…And do it is…

Day 104 of 365: Think On These Things…

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, as we continue talking about becoming more like Christ, we must consider what truly attracts joy, hope, and peace into our lives.

Throughout Scripture, Jesus Christ showed us that love will always outweigh legalism. He consistently chose compassion over performance. He reminded us that no matter how rigid religion may become, we are called to reflect the heart of God.

Jesus was hated by many religious leaders of His time — not because He did wrong, but because He did right in ways they did not expect. They were upset that He spent time with a tax collector (Matthew 9:12–13). They were offended that He showed mercy to a woman caught in sin (John 8). They were uncomfortable when He asked questions that exposed their pride (Luke 14:5).

Jesus loved the ordinary person. He saw beyond labels. He valued people over position. And He proved that when all else fails, love still wins.

Family, the Apostle Paul tells us in Epistle to the Philippians 4:8 to think on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. What we choose to dwell on shapes how we live and how we love.

So today, look for joy.
Find one reason to smile.
Watch a butterfly dance in the wind.
Smile at someone you don’t know.

Share hope.
Share love.
Share joy.
Share Jesus.

Because when we choose love, we reflect Him.

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, Thank You for showing us what real love looks like through Jesus. Thank You that He did not walk past the broken, the overlooked, or the ordinary — but embraced them with compassion and truth.

Renew our minds, Lord. Help us to think on what is pure, lovely, and hopeful. Remove any pride, judgment, or hardness that tries to take root in our hearts. Teach us to value people over position and mercy over appearance.

May our lives reflect Your heart.
May our words carry hope.
May our actions demonstrate love.
And when we are unsure of what to do, remind us that love still wins.

Day 103 of 365: Mental Health Monday, The Mind of Christ…

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, many of us have heard about the importance of being mindful of our mental health. Our mental health affects every aspect of our lives. The way we navigate the world is deeply connected to how we see ourselves and how we process our thoughts.

As Christians, our thinking must be rooted in the truth of Christ Jesus. The mind is powerful, and what we allow to dwell there shapes our words, actions, and responses. Throughout Scripture, we see Jesus correcting and rebuking religious leaders—not from a place of harshness, but from a place of truth, love, and a desire to heal and restore. He saw every person—and even creation itself—through the lens of compassion, hope, and redemption.

In the Epistle to the Romans 12:2, Paul urges us not to conform to the pattern of this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. This renewal is ongoing. It requires us to filter our thoughts through the mind of Christ—asking ourselves daily: Does this thought align with God’s truth? Does it reflect His love? Does it lead to life and peace?

May we intentionally align our thoughts with the will of God each day, just as Jesus taught us to pray in the Lord’s Prayer: “Your will be done.” When we allow Christ to filter our thinking, our minds become places of peace rather than turmoil, clarity rather than confusion, and faith rather than fear.

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, we thank You for caring about every part of us—including our minds. You know every thought we think, every worry we carry, and every silent battle we fight. Thank You for inviting us into transformation through the renewing of our minds.

Father, help us to have the mind of Christ. Teach us to recognize thoughts that are not rooted in Your truth. Give us the discipline and discernment to filter our thinking through Your Word. When fear tries to speak louder than faith, remind us of who You are. When insecurity tries to distort our identity, remind us that we are Yours.

Spirit of the Living God, renew our minds daily. Replace anxiety with peace, lies with truth, bitterness with forgiveness, and confusion with clarity. Let our thoughts reflect Your love, Your wisdom, and Your will.
May our minds be aligned with heaven, and may our lives be evidence of Your transforming power. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer as we lift then to you.

Day 102 of 365: Old Habits…New Mind…

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, this evening I was thinking about the process of changing our lives to become more and more like Christ Jesus. Change can feel easier when we are surrounded by people who share the same mindset and desire to grow. But when the journey feels lonely, change can seem more challenging. Challenging, however, does not mean impossible—because we know that all things are possible through Christ.


For old habits to truly change—at least for me—I have to run my thoughts and actions through what I call the “Christ-mind filter.” Let me explain.

Whenever I sense the need to change something in my life, I know it begins with my thinking. As a follower of Christ, I want my thoughts to reflect what I believe. So I pause and ask myself, How would Jesus respond in this situation?

If the answer makes my flesh uncomfortable, that’s usually confirmation that I’m choosing the Spirit over the flesh.

Old habits—especially the ones that gratify our flesh—are not easy to release. But Jesus showed us both mercy and expectation. When He spoke to the woman caught in adultery, He extended grace and then said, “Go and sin no more.” Forgiveness was given, but transformation was required.

In the same way, I must lay down anything that creates distance between me and my relationship with Christ. Growth requires surrender. Change requires intention. And becoming more like Him requires daily decisions.

Today I choose transformation over comfort, Spirit over flesh, and Christ over everything.

Give me courage to lay down every habit, attitude, and desire that separates me from deeper intimacy with You. Shape my mind to think like You, my heart to love like You, and my life to reflect You. Jesus, my Redeemer, I lift this prayer to you. Lord, in Your mercy, hear my prayer.

Day 101 of 365: Hands Like Yours…

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, today we reflect on the hands of Jesus through the story of the leper.


In Gospel of Mark 1:40–45, a man with leprosy came to Jesus, desperate and humbled. He fell on his knees and said, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.”
Leprosy was not just a disease—it was isolation. Rejection. Separation. This man had likely gone years without being touched. No embrace. No handshake. No comfort. He was considered unclean, unworthy, and untouchable.


But Jesus.


Scripture says Jesus was moved with compassion. And then He did something radical. He reached out His hand and touched him. Before the healing came, the touch came. Jesus could have spoken the word from a distance. He had that power. But instead, His holy hands reached into the man’s brokenness.

The hands of Jesus were not afraid of what others avoided. They were not concerned with public opinion. They were driven by compassion. And immediately, the leprosy left him.

Family, this is who our Savior is. His hands still reach. They still restore. They still make clean what the world has written off.

Maybe today we feel like that leper—isolated, ashamed, or carrying something that makes us feel unworthy.

Hear this: Jesus is willing. His hands are not withdrawn from you. And as followers of Christ, we must ask ourselves—do our hands reflect His? Do we withdraw from the hurting, or do we reach toward them?
Are our hands quick to judge, or quick to restore?

May we have hands full of compassion.
Hands that pray.
Hands that give.
Hands that lift the forgotten.

Because when our hands move with His heart, healing flows. Lord, thank You for hands that were willing to touch what others rejected. Teach us to love the same way.

Lord, thank You for placing within me a deep desire to be like You in every way. Continue to teach me the innermost parts of Your heart. Shape my thoughts, refine my motives, and align my will with Yours. You my hands for your glory.


May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing and acceptable in Your sight as I lift this prayer to You.

Lord, in Your mercy, hear my prayer.

Day 100 of 365: A Heart Like Yours…

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, as this Friday evening grows quiet, our hearts settle into a sacred stillness. In moments like this, the deepest prayer often rises gently within us: Lord, give me a heart like Yours. Like CeCe Winans so beautifully sings in A Heart Like Yours, this is more than a lyric — it is a daily surrender.


A Heart That Loves Deeply
Jesus loves without condition. He reaches for the broken, extends grace to the undeserving, and sees potential where others see flaws. A heart like His chooses compassion over criticism and grace over offense.


A Heart That Forgives Freely
Even in suffering, Jesus forgave. To carry His heart means releasing bitterness and trusting God with what hurt us. Forgiveness keeps our hearts tender and free.


A Heart That Obeys Humbly
Jesus lived to do the Father’s will. A heart like His says, “Not my will, but Yours be done,” even when obedience costs something. It is a heart shaped by surrender and strengthened in prayer.


Tonight, as the day closes, let this be our quiet pursuit — not perfection, but transformation.

Day 99 of 365: Hope…

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, we stand in the radiant hope Christ secured for us through His triumphant resurrection. The tomb is still empty. The victory is still complete. The promise is still alive.

Yet so often, after the celebration fades and Resurrection Sunday becomes a memory, life attempts to pull us back into routine. The excitement softens. The fire dims. The urgency weakens.

But this year, let it be different.
The resurrection was never meant to be a moment—it was meant to be a lifestyle. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is the power that sustains our hope, fuels our passion, and anchors our faith. We were redeemed at no cost to us, but at great cost to Him. And that redemption was not simply to save us from something—it was to bring us into something: a loving, intimate relationship with our Father.

Overflowing hope does not fade after a holiday. It does not depend on emotion. It is sustained by connection.


So let us stay plugged in.
Let us remain vigilant.
Let us pursue Christ intentionally.
Hope is not seasonal.
Redemption is not temporary.
Resurrection life is daily.


May we continue to burn with zeal—not out of obligation, but out of gratitude. Not out of routine, but out of relationship.

Day 98 of 365: A Prayer of Gratefulness…

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Precious Spirit of the Living God,

I come before You with a heart overflowing with gratitude. Thank You for every blessing You have poured into my life—both the ones I see and the ones I do not even realize. Thank You for Your favor that opens doors no one can shut, for making ways out of no ways, and for going before me in every season.

Lord, thank You for Your peace—the peace that surpasses all understanding. When storms rise and uncertainty tries to settle in, Your peace steadies my heart and reminds me that You are in control.

Thank You for Your divine protection. You have shielded me from dangers seen and unseen. You have covered my family, guarded my steps, and kept me safe through trials I didn’t even know I was facing. I am grateful.

Thank You for Your unfailing love. Your love restores what was broken, lifts what was heavy, and fills empty places within me. When I was weak, You were strong. When I felt lost, You drew me close.

Father, thank You for restoration and healing—healing in my body, healing in my mind, healing in my spirit. Thank You for restoring joy, restoring hope, restoring relationships, and restoring dreams.

I do not take Your goodness for granted. Every good and perfect gift comes from You. My heart says thank You. My life says thank You. My praise says thank You, Lord.

I love You, Lord.

Day 96/97 of 365: Phase One Complete, Now Phase Two…

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you always.

Family, we stand in the sacred echo of Resurrection Sunday. The stone has been rolled away. The grave has been conquered. Christ has fulfilled Phase One of His divine mission—He came, He suffered, He died, and He rose again in victory.


Now we live in what we might call Phase Two. Hebrews 10:11–18 reminds us that under the old covenant, priests stood daily, offering the same sacrifices again and again—sacrifices that could never fully take away sins. But Christ, after offering one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God. His work of atonement is finished. “For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified” (Hebrews 10:14).


He sat down because the sacrifice was complete. Phase One is complete. Phase Two is our response.


Phase Two is not about religious performance—attending church out of habit, wearing certain clothes, or checking spiritual boxes. It is about sanctification. It is about allowing the finished work of Christ to transform us from the inside out.

Hebrews tells us that God now writes His laws on our hearts and places them in our minds. This is deeply personal. This is relational. This is divine intimacy.

Christ Jesus did His part fully and perfectly.
Now it is up to us to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in perfecting our holiness—not striving to earn salvation, but living in gratitude because salvation has already been secured.

Sanctification is not about impressing people; it is about aligning our hearts with heaven. It is about making our connection to the Divine our highest priority.


It means choosing prayer when distraction calls. Choosing forgiveness when offense tempts us. Choosing obedience when convenience whispers otherwise. Choosing Christ daily.


Phase Two is about cultivating a personal relationship with Jesus—learning His voice, adopting His mindset, and reflecting His character. Because of His sacrifice, our sins are remembered no more. Because of His resurrection, we now have access. Because He sat down, we can stand up and walk in newness of life.


The cross was His assignment. Transformation is ours. Let us not waste what He finished. Let us lean into sanctification, not out of obligation, but out of love. The tomb is empty. The sacrifice is complete. The invitation is open. Now we live it.

Day 94/95 of 365: The Holy Hush…Hallelujah, Jesus Is Risen!!

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Today’s devotional is dedicated to the sacred silence of the work Jesus did on the cross. Tomorrow morning, the stone will be rolled away and the promise will be fulfilled.

Matthew’s Gospel is the only writer of the scripture account below. I want us to truly hear what is being said.

On the day of Jesus’ resurrection this is Matthew’s account.

Scripture Passage of the Day

Matthew 27:50-54
New International Version


50 And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.

51 At that moment, the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.

The earth shook, the rocks split 52 and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. 53 They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and[a] went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

54 When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!”

Resurrection Prayer

Father of Glory and Majesty,
when Your Son gave up His spirit,
the veil was torn, the earth trembled,
and the rocks split beneath the weight of holy love. You shook creation itself to proclaim what heaven already knew…
that Jesus is Lord!!!

Lord Jesus, in that sacred moment when darkness covered the land and Your sacrifice was complete, the barrier between God and humanity was torn in two. No more separation. No more distance. Your blood opened the way.


As the earth quaked and the tombs were opened, You declared that death would not have the final word. The graves released their hold. The holy ones were raised. Life broke forth, where silence once reigned.


Lord God of Resurrection power,
shake the hardened places in our hearts.
Split the rocks of fear, pride, and unbelief. Tear the veils we have allowed to hang between us and You. Wherever something in us feels buried, sealed, and forgotten, Lord speak resurrection.


Where our hope has lain in a tomb, call it forth. Where our faith feels shaken, let it be shaken into awakening. And like the centurion who stood in awe and confessed, “Surely He was the Son of God,” bring us to our knees in reverent surrender.


Let every trembling place in our lives become testimony. You are the God who tears veils, who shakes the earth, who opens graves, and who brings life from death. We stand in holy awe. We stand in gratitude. We stand in resurrecting hope. In the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, our crucified and RISEN King.

Hallelujah, Lord. You are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise!!!
