As my day comes to a close and I think about our 365-day devotional journey together, we have to consider several factors coming ahead.
First, we have to know that as we walk this journey and go deeper and deeper into our divine nature, there will be a processing that will not allow us to stay the same. Be prepared for change. We can not go higher and stay in the same place at the same time. You will have to decide which path you are going to take. Both paths will cost something.
Scripture Passage for the Day
Proverbs 3:5-6 New International Version
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Let Us Pray
Spirit of the Living God, we know in this season of our spiritual journey that you are a consuming fire burning out everything that is not like you. We climb on the altar willingly and say, “Have your way, Lord.”
In the precious and perfect name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. And we let it be.. and so it is.
On day four of our year-long devotional journey, I would like to continue our discussion of preparation. Specifically, as we continue our preparation to go deeper in our spiritual journey, we must also consider what our decision will cost us.
Scripture of the Day
Galatians 2:20 New International Version
20 I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Let Us Pray
Spirit of the Living God, we thank you for all you gave in human form as Jesus Christ. Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice you made in order for us to have an intimate relationship with you. May we humbly and soberly realize that this journey will also cause us to make sacrifices as well, in order to draw closer to you. May we easily let go of anything that tries to keep us in a stagnant spiritual place. We desire to draw closer to you. In the name and power of our Lord and Redeemer, Jesus, The Christ.
And we let it be.. And so it is.
Amen, Amen, and Amen.

Song Title: Draw Me Close Featuring: Michael Bethany
We are officially in the first weekend of the new year. The year has a clean slate, and so many wonderful things can happen as long as we make the proper preparations. How are you going to prepare to make your dreams, goals, and visions manifest into reality?
Scripture passages of the day:
Luke 14:28-29 New International Version
28 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower (house). Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? 29 For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you.
Let us pray:
Spirit of the Living God, we bless your name and put nothing beforeorahead of you. Guide our steps so that we may know the right way to go according to the will of Heaven. Let not our pride or our free will cause us to stumble, but instead, we willingly and freely bend our will to your way. Strengthen our faith as we walk according to your will. In the name of Jesus our Lord.
And we let it be…and so it is.
Amen, Amen and Amen.
Worship Song of the Day
Music video by Velma Willis performing Lead Me, Guide Me. (C) 2016 Spring House Music Group
Family, as we embark on the second day of our 2026 journey together, I woke up this morning thinking about how deserving God is of all of our praise, worship, sacrifice, and obedience. Even in the most trying of times, God’s faithfulness has always been the same.
Today’s scripture passage:
Psalm 100:4
New International Version
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
Let us pray:
Spirit of the Living God:
We lift our hands and voices to give you the glory today. Thank you for your faithfulness toward us. May our lives be living testimonies of your goodness and favor. Spirit of the Living God, show us and remind us of the good way to walk.
Allow our spiritual ears to be finely in tune with the will of Heaven. May we live a life on purpose and in freedom from the sins that separate us from you. May we forever be a suitable dwelling place for you reside.
In the name of our Redeemer, Way Shower, and Chief Intercessor, Jesus Christ our Lord.
And we let it….and so it is… Amen, Amen, and Amen.

Today is an exciting new day and new year. I am looking forward to all that is to come in this year.
The year of 2026 will be filled with prayer and hope. I invite you to walk with me in this journey of purposeful daily prayer, devotion, and worship.
Today’s Bible verse:
2 Corinthians 5:17 New International Version
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here!
Let us pray:
Spirit of the Living God:
Thank you for allowing each of us to see a brand new year and new day. Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness, even when we didn’t recognize it.
Search our hearts for anything that does not glorify you. Purify our minds and allow us to hunger for the things that bring you glory and joy. Instead of us asking for things from you, place in our heart the desire for us to ask, “How can we serve You?””
May our lives be walking, living, and breathing testimonies of our desire to worship and please you. 🙏
We seal this first day of prayer in the name of our Lord and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Amen.
And we let it be… and so it is.

If you remember, on our last couple of devotional letters, I shared that after almost 10 years of writing Sacred Journey Devotional Blog, there will be a change coming. It will not be an ending but instead a transformation.
Many of you know that I began this Blog to journal my spiritual journey. I wanted to share my life as a Christian, just in case other people were going through some of the things I was facing.
You are NOT ALONE.
Our spiritual journey is never an easy or straight road, but instead, it is filled with highs and lows and all the places in between.
I know that my blog is not for everyone, but for those who don’t want to walk this earthly spiritual journey alone, feel free to walk with me. I honor your presence on the path.
So what is coming in January 2026???
Beginning January 1, 2026, the daily devotional prayer series will begin. 2026 will have a devotional prayer every day of the week! At the end of 2026, I hope to publish the daily devotional prayers we have shared.
I hope you are as excited as I am. I’m looking forward to what God is doing. Let me know if you are as excited as I am. I would love to hear from you.
I will still be writing throughout the rest of 2025, but I wanted to share the news with you about 2026.
Please keep me in your prayers of protection and peace.
Spirit of the Living God. We bless your holy name. We speak the name that is above every name, when we call on Jehovah Rapha because YOU, Lord, are the One who heals. We cry out in repentance to you. There is no part of us that does not bless your name.
Spirit of the Living God, forgive us for being lovers of ourselves and placing so many idols in front of you. We repent for making idols of people, places, things, politics, religion instead of a relationship with you, money, and so many other things that satisfy our flesh and cause us to turn away from you.
Spirit of the Living God, those of us who are in a relationship with you, we rip our clothes and mourn our selfish ways and the selfish ways of those on earth. May your Kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
We have made a mockery of the name of Jesus as we hide behind our personal and global agendas. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
We turn to you, Lord, for an intimate relationship with you and nothing else. We have no other agenda but you. Search our hearts, Lord. Burn out any unclean thought, seed, weed, and root that is not like you.
As we turn back to you, may we manifest your glory. As we turn back to you, may we manifest your peace. As we turn back to you, may we manifest your Love.
We lift these prayers to you, Lord, and we ask that the Blood of the Lamb, our Chief Intercessor, and Redeemer cover them as they rise to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I have some exciting news to share. I have been in prayer lately regarding the future of Sacred Journey Devotional Blog. I was thinking, for some time, that it may be time for this chapter of my life to come to an end. I have been writing these devotionals for exactly 10 years.
Once I became quiet enough to hear the Holy Spirit’s voice, I realized that I was confusingEnding with Transformation!!!!
God led me to Isaiah 43:19 earlier this year and it keeps popping up in different areas of my life, which gives me confidence of the word that I heard. Not an ending of something but a transformation of something.
WE ARE IN THE SEASON OF TRANSFORMATION!!!!
Holy Scriptures
Isaiah 43:19
New International Version
19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Time ofPrayer
Spirit of the Living God, thank you for your faithfulness and love. Thank you for always calling us to a higher place and consciousness. Allow our thinking to expand to be able to follow you with complete surrender and joy and allow our faith to do the rest. I will trust you through the blessed wilderness as you lead us to a new place both inside and out. In the matchless and powerful name of Jesus Amen.
Spirit of the Living God, thank you for your faithfulness and love toward us. Thank you for every opportunity you provide for us to learn and grow. May we never miss or take for granted having a divine encounter with you. May today be the day that we step boldly on the path you have set for us. May our hearts be attuned to the frequency and vibration of heaven so that we will know how to adjust to your divine will. We lift this prayer as a sweet fragrance to the Most High God in the name, power, and authority of Jesus Christ, our Wayshower, and Redeemer. Amen.
Holy Scripture
Psalm 118:21-24
New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition
21 I thank you that you have answered me and have become my salvation. 22 The stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. 23 This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. 24 This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.[a]
Worship and Rejoice
Official performance video of “This Is The Day” from Maranda Curtis’ album Open Heaven – The Maranda Experience.
Family, go out today with joy in your heart and this melody by Minister Maranda Curtis in your stride. The Most High God is on your side!!! If that is not a reason to rejoice, I don’t know what is. Amen.
Love your neighbor as you would love yourself. That has been the cornerstone of the Christian faith and many other faiths as well. As Christians, it is about sharing the love and character of God with others.
Why do we share the Love of God? Sometimes, we are the only contacts others will have with Jesus. People may not go to church, and they may have lost faith in God.
A simple smile, a kind gesture, a kind word, can all change a person’s life.
But what if it your kindness isn’t received? What if people are mean and unkind, even when you show kindness?
Why do we have to be accountable for our actions as Christians?
The reason is that Love is an ACTION word.
No matter what love faces, the response will always be More love. Love never fails. Even when it doesn’t feel like it, Love plants a seed in the heart’s of those It meets.
No matter who we meet or see each day, please know that every encounter is a Holy encounter. We are accountable for our love, even when it comes to loving ourselves.
Holy Scriptures
Matthew 5:1-12
New International Version
Introduction to the Sermon on the Mount
5 Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2 and he began to teach them.
The Beatitudes
He said:
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. 10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Family, I know showing and sharing love will not always be easy, but what a reward when we get to see Jesus face to face and we are asked, “Did you love others as I instructed and demonstrated for you while I was here on earth?”
