You Are Not Alone…

9b08457c71419f6971a9c3cbe03a7069

Good morning, Family:

Peace and blessings to you all. I want to encourage you to start the year off strong in the Lord. There may be battles, wars and warfare, but know you are not standing alone

 I encourage you to meditate and recite the 23rd Psalm every time you feel fearful, alone or afraid.

Psalm 23

Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

23 (0) A psalm of David:

(1) Adonai is my shepherd; I lack nothing.
He has me lie down in grassy pastures,
he leads me by quiet water,
he restores my inner person.
He guides me in right paths
for the sake of his own name.
Even if I pass through death-dark ravines,
I will fear no disaster; for you are with me;
your rod and staff reassure me.

You prepare a table for me,
even as my enemies watch;
you anoint my head with oil
from an overflowing cup.

Goodness and grace will pursue me
every day of my life;
and I will live in the house of Adonai
for years and years to come.

Fight the good fight of faith. Dont give up.

In Awe and Wonder…

Good morning, Family:

Did you know that Sacred Journey Devotionals, like this one, goes all across the world and touches each and every continent and country. So even though I say, “Good morning” I know that we are all not in the same time zone, season or region.

However,  there is one thing that will not change. One thing always remains the same, our God is the same yesterday, today and forever, Hallelujah!!!

Psalm 66:1-7

Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

66 (0) For the leader. A song. A psalm:

(1) Shout to God, all the earth!
Sing the glory of his name,
make his praise glorious.
Tell God, “How awesome are your deeds!
At your great power, your enemies cringe.
All the earth bows down to you,
sings praises to you, sings praises to your name.” (Selah)

Come and see what God has done,
his awesome dealings with humankind.
He turned the sea into dry land.
They passed through the river on foot;
there we rejoiced in him.
With his power he rules forever;
his eyes keep watch on the nations.
Let no rebel arise to challenge him.  (Selah)

Have a wonderful and blessed day, family. I love you with the amazing and everlasting love of the Lord.

Go in peace while serving and praising the Lord.

My Eyes Are on You…

20190103_072531

Good morning, Family:

Happy New Year to you all. I pray that this year would bless your socks off, as you walk in obedience to the Spirit of the Living God.

Obedience is a heavy word, depending on what is being asked of you. Obedience comes on many levels. However, when it comes to our walk with Jesus Christ, God made flesh, our obedience is critical.

Have you ever been to the doctor and he or she holds up one finger and tells you not to move your head, but instead to follow their finger with your eyes only? You concentrate and focus on what their hand is doing. Making sure not to lose focus on what you are being asked to do.

In the same way, as when trials, storms, obstacles and just plain LIFE in general, come your way, it is so important, especially in those times, to follow the directions God is giving us.

No matter what is going on around me, I focus on God, who is my peace. May our eyes always be on you, God. May our souls be at peace. So much so that we will be able to say, “It is well, my eyes are you.”

God bless you all. I’m so honored to be on this sacred life journey with each and every one of you. May we be a light to each other on the path.

Numbers 6:24-26

Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

24 Y’varekh’kha Adonai v’yishmerekha.
     [May Adonai bless you and keep you.]

25 Ya’er Adonai panav eleikha vichunekka.
     [May Adonai make his face shine on you  and show you his favor.]

26 Yissa Adonai panav eleikha v’yasem l’kha shalom.
[May Adonai lift up his face toward you and give you peace.]’

Matthew 28:16-20

Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

16 So the eleven talmidim went to the hill in the Galil where Yeshua had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they prostrated themselves before him; but some hesitated. 18 Yeshua came and talked with them. He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore, go and make people from all nations into talmidim, immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh20 and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:16-20

New International Version (NIV)

The Great Commission

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Good morning, Family:

I’m not sure if you noticed this morning, but I listed today’s  scripture passage from two different translations.

Yes, they are worded a little differently, but the message is exactly the same. We were given instructions to tell all who would listen and receive, the wonderful life changing message of Jesus (Yeshua).

Today is the last day of 2018. This past year, for many of us, was a year of training, positioning and obedience. I’m sure that 2019 will be a year of getting used to our new placement. It is in my spirit to tell you this….

DONT GO BACK TO WHAT IS FAMILIAR. DO NOT FEAR THE NEW LAND, JUST BECAUSE IT IS UNKNOWN. JESUS PROMISED TO BE WITH US UNTIL THE END OF THE AGES.”

2019 will be a year of putting all of your training to work. This year is the year of divine placement.

Go in PEACE while joyfully serving the Lord.

Oh Come Let Us Adore Him…

Bible-veses-about-praise

Good morning, Beloved Family:

Even though the Christmas holiday has come and gone, on the calendar, every day should be a day that we celebrate Christ.

The song Oh Come Let Us Adore Him is taken from Psalm 95. As we approach the 2019, remember to worship and adore our Savior every day. For he ALONE is TRULY worthy.

Psalm 95:1-7

Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

95 Come, let’s sing to Adonai!
Let’s shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation!
Let’s come into his presence with thanksgiving;
let’s shout for joy to him with songs of praise.

For Adonai is a great God,
a great king greater than all gods.
He holds the depths of the earth in his hands;
the mountain peaks too belong to him.
The sea is his — he made it —
and his hands shaped the dry land.

Come, let’s bow down and worship;
let’s kneel before Adonai who made us.
For he is our God, and we are the people
in his pasture, the sheep in his care. If only today you would listen to his voice.

What would happen if we began every day in 2019 singing this song? How would it set the tone and energy for our day. I am up to the challenge because I know that it will draw me closer to the one I love the most. Go in peace, while joyfully and faithfully serving the Lord.

Two Lessons in One…

Good morning, Divine Family:

I pray all is well and everyone was able to have an enjoyable holiday weekend. Even for those who spend the holiday alone, whether by choice or by life’s circumstances, I hope you were able to truly remember and reflect on the symbolism and meaning of Christmas. The ultimate gift is Jesus Christ, Yeshua the Messiah.

I’m not sure if anyone has noticed, in the last few devotionals, but I have been referencing the scripture passages from the The Complete Jewish Bible translation. The main reason is that it has led me to look up and study different Hebrew meanings, but it has also allowed me to see the different ways the names of God are used. As noted on the home page of this website, unless otherwise noted, all scripture passages are from the Bible Gateway website.

Ephesians 2:1-10

Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

You used to be dead because of your sins and acts of disobedience. You walked in the ways of the ‘olam hazeh and obeyed the Ruler of the Powers of the Air, who is still at work among the disobedient. Indeed, we all once lived this way — we followed the passions of our old nature and obeyed the wishes of our old nature and our own thoughts. In our natural condition we were headed for God’s wrath, just like everyone else.

But God is so rich in mercy and loves us with such intense love that, even when we were dead because of our acts of disobedience, he brought us to life along with the Messiah — it is by grace that you have been delivered. That is, God raised us up with the Messiah Yeshua and seated us with him in heaven, in order to exhibit in the ages to come how infinitely rich is his grace, how great is his kindness toward us who are united with the Messiah Yeshua. For you have been delivered by grace through trusting, and even this is not your accomplishment but God’s gift. You were not delivered by your own actions; therefore no one should boast. 10 For we are of God’s making, created in union with the Messiah Yeshua for a life of good actions already prepared by God for us to do.

Go in peace, my dear brothers and sisters, in Christ Jesus, Yeshua the Messiah. May everyone you meet prayerfully be able to see, feel and hear the love of God through you.

Good morning, Family:

I wanted to talk time this morning to tell you all that I am so Thankful for you and I love you with the amazing and everlasting love of the Lord. May you enjoy your time reflecting on the Love of God and gift that was given to everyone who would receive and believe.

Isaiah 9:6

King James Version (KJV)

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Merry Christmas,

We Worship You…

psa-99-2-ww-cc-9x

Good morning, Family:

Praise God for a brand new morning and new mercies. What does it mean to Worship God? We worship God because of who God is. We worship the majesty of God. We worship the glory of God. We worship the Holiness of God.

Worship is what makes us fall to our knees and sometimes even to lay prostrate with our entire body. The power and glory of God causes our knees to buckle and our Spirit to collapse in utter reverence to the Awesomeness of God.

Psalm 99

Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

Adonai is king; let the peoples tremble.
He sits enthroned on the k’ruvim; let the earth shake!
Adonai is great in Tziyon;
he is high above all the peoples.

Let them praise your great and fearsome name (he is holy):
“Mighty king who loves justice, you established
fairness, justice and righteousness in Ya‘akov.”

Exalt Adonai our God!
Prostrate yourselves at his footstool (he is holy).

Moshe and Aharon among hiscohanim
and Sh’mu’el among those who call on his name
called on Adonai, and he answered them.
He spoke to them in the column of cloud;
they kept his instructions and the law that he gave them.
Adonai our God, you answered them.
To them you were a forgiving God,
although you took vengeance on their wrongdoings.

Exalt Adonai our God,
bow down toward his holy mountain,
for Adonai our God is holy!

Worship the Lord today with every part of your mind, soul, heart and spirit.

Go in peace, while faithfully and joyfully serving the Lord.

I Do, I Did, and I Will…

20181218_083454

Good morning, Family:

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” ~ 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Today is special day for me. Three years ago today, I said, “I Do” to my amazing husband.

Marriage is a journey, an adventure, a drama, a love story, and on some days a mystery.

I can say, with all truth in my heart, that I am a better person because of my husband. We have grown and have learned so much about each other and our selves as well.

Even before I met my husband, God began preparing me to be the wife he had called me to be. I believe the role of a wife is a ministry and a calling. I knew the qualities I wanted in a husband, but before we could meet, God had to prepare me to be ready for such a man.

There are three main things that I am called to do, as a wife to my husband. First, my role is to be my husband’s help and support, both in the home and outside the home. Secondly, my role is to be my husband’s intercessor and prayer warrior. Third, my role is to fulfill the desires and needs of my husband.

In my heart, I know that as I support and cheer my husband on, he will have better success in walking into his divine destiny. My role is to keep his head lifted, his heart and body satisfied, and his mind focused on the road ahead.

When he is having a bad day, it is my calling,  as a his wife, to look him the eyes and remind him he is a king, a mighty man of God, a man of integrity and good character. No matter how the world treats him or sees him, it is my job to remind him that he is royalty.

When my husband and I first got married, the Holy Spirit led me to tape different encouraging phrases around the house. The purpose was even if I am not in the room, I never want you to forget who you are and how much I love and adore you.

Today, I honor my husband, my best friend, my warrior, my problem solver and my love. May God continue to lead you as you lead our family.

Happy Anniversary, Sweetheart.

Living Testimony…

AlphaAndOmegaDevotional03-Mar2012

Good morning, Family:

I greet you in love and I pray that today would be a day that we each learn, grow and teach.

What is God trying to teach me today, so that I can teach others? What lessons in life, faith, and love must I learn to reach my next level in God? How can I grow to become a more mature soldier in the faith and in life?

Every day comes with a lesson for us to learn. Believe it or not, Family, every lesson is not about us or for us. Sometimes those lessons are for those closest to us. If God allows you to be an example to someone else, what an awesome responsibility we have to be a living testimonial for how to show up.

If someone were to follow you around today, what would they see? What would be their assessment of your life and faith, in Christ? It is by faith, through Jesus Christ that we are able to stand. Not in our own strength but from the Spirit of God that abides within us. We, as Children of God, are able to cry out ABBA Father. You, God, are the Alpha and Omega. Without you, God, we are nothing, but in You we boldly stand.

James 1:1-8

Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

From: Ya‘akov, a slave of God and of the Lord Yeshua the Messiah

To: The Twelve Tribes in the Diaspora:

Shalom!

Regard it all as joy, my brothers, when you face various kinds of temptations; for you know that the testing of your trust produces perseverance. But let perseverance do its complete work; so that you may be complete and whole, lacking in nothing. Now if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all generously and without reproach; and it will be given to him. But let him ask in trust, doubting nothing; for the doubter is like a wave in the sea being tossed and driven by the wind. Indeed that person should not think that he will receive anything from the Lord, because he is double-minded, unstable in all his ways.

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Jude 24-25 (KJV)
