Hold My Hand…

strength-bible-verse-4l

Good morning, Family:

A lot of times we don’t always know how to reach out and ask for prayer. Even as children, one of the most comforting things we need is for someone to hold our hand.

I’m here if you need me. I would be honored to hold your hand in times of joy, sadness, fear, and even in the unknown.

As children of God, our job is not just to tell people about God, but to show people God.

Whose hand can you hold?

Whose heart can you comfort?

I love you with an amazing and everlasting love.

At the end of the day…

20190812_230117

Good evening, Family:

Today was a super crazy day. I’m just crawling into bed and talking to God. The Lord’s Prayer is always a perfect prayer to end any evening. As you pray, the Holy Spirit will also bring to remembrance other things that should be spoken in your prayer time.

This evening, I lift up friends and family that are facing sickness in their lives and in the lives of their loved ones. I pray for love, peace, and healing, according to how God wants to heal, and I pray for faith. Faith in knowing that God has you and your family close to his chest. He feels your pain, grief, anger, confusion and sometimes even hatred. Through it all, God just holds you and quietly says, “I love you.”

Rest tonight, knowing that God already has tomorrow taken care for you. Sleep well. Cry if you have to, but know that God is always by your side.

I love you with an everlasting love.

SOLD, Not For Sale…

brought-with-a-price-450x450

Good morning, Family:

I pray this morning finds you full of joy, purpose, and peace of mind, knowing that your soul has already been bought and paid for by Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer.

We, as Christians, no longer have a price tag hanging on us. Even though the enemy knows we have been paid for, he tries his best to get us to forget how precious we are.

The Word of God says in 1 Corinthians 6:20, “For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

The next time the enemy tries to pull you away from living a godly life, remind the enemy (and yourself) that you are not for sale. Your life is spoken for. You are God’s most precious purchase.

Go in peace, while serving the Lord.

Thankful, Happy and Blessed…

Good morning, Family:

This morning, I woke thanking God for not only allowing me to see another day, but also another year. Today, I am fourty seven years old. Some people are ashamed to tell their age, but I am grateful for every year.

I pray that this year I would be pleasing to the Lord in my life, my health, my finances, my calling, my marriage and in my church home.

The Lord allowed me to graduate from college this year and to expand this devotional into countries I have never even heard of or visited.

This year, if it continues to be the Lord’s will, I will have have more speaking engagements and be able to share the joy of being a servant of God.

This year, if it continues to be the Lord’s will, I will be able to officiate more weddings, counsel more couples through premarital counseling, alongside my husband, and also speak life into the people that cross my path, in my role as a Christian Life coach.

I’m so excited and hopeful about all that this new year may bring. I just want to make my Abba proud. Father, you are the wind under my wings.

Thank you, Lord, for allowing me to serve you. Nothing brings me more joy than touching lives, in your name.

Psalm 19:14

New Living Translation (NLT)

14 May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing to you,
Lord, my rock and my redeemer.

Go in peace, family, while praising and serving the Lord, our Loving Redeemer.

Speak Life…

20190731_074518

Good morning, Family:

Happy Wednesday. We are almost at the weekend. I enjoy the weekends because my alarm clock doesn’t go off at 3:45am.

No matter what time I wake up, each day I wake up is a blessing and one more chance to shine for God.

I speak LIFE into my day. I start my day with this statement,

“Thank you, Lord, for a brand new day. Open my eyes to see what you would have me to see. I speak life into my day, my circumstances, and my interactions. May everyone that I encounter see YOU instead of me. May you be gloried in the Temple of my body. I love you, Lord. Cover me and my family. Continue to help me grow as a wife, a homemaker, a servant of your kingdom and in ANY other areas of my life that you know I need to grow. Remind me to speak life into every thing. And So it Is. Amen.

Ephesians 4:29

English Standard Version (ESV)

29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

Speak life to those around you. Speak life to your family, your coworkers, your circumstances.

Your sister in Christ,

Consider It Joy…

Good morning, Precious Family:

I was listening to the radio this morning and one of the radio hosts said, “I know it’s just Tuesday, but I am Friday tired.” I immediately said, “Amen, Sister!”

Today is just Tuesday but my body and mind are just exhausted. It is in these  moments that the Word of God brings me back to life.

James 1:2-8

Modern English Version (MEV)

Faith and Wisdom

My brothers, count it all joy when you fall into diverse temptations, knowing that the trying of your faith develops patience. But let patience perfect its work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men liberally and without criticism, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, without wavering. For he who wavers is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed with the wind. Let not that man think that he will receive anything from the Lord. A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Be blessed, stay encouraged. There are thorns now, but it will produce a rose garden.

Your sister in Christ,

Rev. Marcia Davis

The Choice is Yours…

Slide1

Good morning, Blessed Family:

As we get our day started, this morning,  there are some choices that we get to make. We will decide what to eat, what to wear, where to go and what to do. However, the biggest and most important choice we will have to make today is whom to serve. Will we serve ourself and the desires of our flesh or will we serve God? As for me and my houses, like Joshua, we will serve the Lord.

House has two meanings to me. First there is the actual structure made of brink, stone and mortar. Then there is our body which is the “house” that holds the Holy Spirit. Scripture says we are the house or temple of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 3:16)

Prayer of Service

Father God, we come to you today to say that we serve you with our whole heart, mind, soul, body and strength. Our desire to please you is far above our desire to please ourselves.

Spirit of the Living God, walk with us and lead us in the ways to go. We submit ourselves to the will of the heaven. Let our lives be a reflection of what has been desired and spoken in heaven.

We pray this prayer in the name of the One who intercedes for us, at the right hand of the Father, Jesus Christ Our Lord and Redeemer. Amen

Joshua 24:14-15

Modern English Version (MEV)

14 “Now fear the Lord, and serve Him with sincerity and faithfulness. Put away the gods your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord15 If it is displeasing to you to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve, if it should be the gods your fathers served beyond the River or the gods of the Amorites’ land where you are now living. Yet as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Go in peace, Family, while joyfully serving the Lord in all that you do. Make every action and thought an act of Worship. The more you train your flesh and your mind, the easier it will become. Start each day with the statement, “Today, I will serve the Lord. I command all aspects of who I am to submit to the authority of God, in Jesus name. Amen”

And so it is…

Good morning, Beloved Family:

I greet you this morning with s big cyber hug (squeeze).

Family, my mind is on you every day. I always wonder how you are doing and if you are in a good place. I appreciate you so much. There are not enough words to tell you all how much you mean to me.

Continue to be encouraged. Dont get weary in your daily walk with the Lord. Each day matters. Each choice matters. Romance and meditate on the Lord.

I love you with an amazing and holy love.

Psalm 1

Modern English Version (MEV)

BOOK ONE

Psalms 1–41

Psalm 1

Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor stands in the path of sinners,
    nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and in His law he meditates day and night.
He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
    that brings forth its fruit in its season;
its leaf will not wither,
and whatever he does will prosper.

The ungodly are not so,
    but are like the chaff
    which the wind drives away.
Therefore the ungodly will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
but the way of the ungodly will perish.

Trust, Rest, Be at Peace….

There is a Good Way, walk in it.

New Beginnings…

isaiah-41-13

Isaiah 41:13

New International Version (NIV)

13 For I am the Lord your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
    I will help you.

Good morning, Family:

I greet you with love and thankfulness. Don’t we serve an awesome and amazing God? Each day is chance for new beginnings and adventures.

I officiated a wedding this weekend and I am overjoyed with the new beginnings this couple will experience. I feel the same excitement when a person gives their life over to the Lord. What a wonderful new adventure awaits us as we say, “Yes,” to Jesus.

This morning, we start our day with a grateful and adventurous heart. Let’s keep our heart and mind open, as the Lord leads us.

Go in peace, Family, while serving the Lord.

Time with Abba…

father-abba

Greetings, Precious Family:

I usually write our devotionals in the morning, when I wake up. Today is different. Right now, I’m finally slowing down for the day. As soon as I did, I came across an amazing worship video. I have literally been playing it over and over, all evening, allowing the presence of God to saturate all of me.

My prayer is that when you have some quiet time in your day, open your mouth and cry out “Abba.” Call on our Father our Daddy. Allow God to meet you and dwell with you. This is a great song for Christian meditation and prayer time.

The artist/worshiper is Johnathan David Hesler.
