Family, tonight we are talking about one of the most important pieces of the armour of God. The Shield of Faith!!!
Key Scripture
Ephesians 6:16 New International Version
16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Devotional Focus:
Faith becomes the shield between our hearts and the attacks of fear, doubt, hopelessness, and despair.
Some arrows come suddenly: Bad News Betrayal Disappointment Anxiety Exhaustion Spiritual Discouragement
Faith does not mean we never struggle. It means we continue trusting God while we struggle.
Life Application:
Even trembling faith can still block the enemy’s attacks when placed in God’s hands. The Word of God says that even faith the size of mustard seed can do GREAT things like moving a mountain (Matthew 17:20).
Let Us Pray
Spirit of the Living God, thank you for taking the time this week to reassure us that all types of faith can be powerful enough to charge our shields. We all strive for great faith, but we thank you for meeting us where we are. We are so thankful to be able to have a personal relationship with you were we are able to grow our faith and trust in you. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer as we lift them sincerely to you.

Family, tonight is Part 3 of the mini nugget series of the Full Amour of God from Ephesians 6:10-18. Specifically, tonight’s mini nugget is on The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace.
Key Scripture:
“…with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.” Ephesians 6:15
Devotional Focus:
Peace is not the absence of trouble; it is stability in the middle of it. God gives believers spiritual footing so they do not slip when life becomes uncertain.
Life Application:
You may walk through stressful seasons, painful diagnoses, family struggles, financial pressure, or emotional exhaustion, but God’s peace keeps you moving forward one faithful step at a time.
Remember one of the last statements Jesus made regarding Peace in John 14:27?
Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” He is our Peace. Jesus’ promised to always be with us in the form of the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. It is for that reason that I begin most of my prayers with, “Spirit of the Living God”.
Let Us Pray
Spirit of the Living God, In a world filled with chaos, uncertainty, and distraction, help us to walk daily in Your peace. Let the Shoes of Peace remind us that we were never called to walk in fear, anger, confusion, or worry, but in the calm assurance that You are always with us.
Where there is division, teach us to carry peace. Where there is anxiety, teach us to trust You. Where there is weariness, remind us that Your presence strengthens us for every step ahead.
Lord, make us ready to stand firm in faith and to carry the message of Your love everywhere we go. Let our words, actions, and hearts reflect the peace that only comes through You.
May we walk boldly, steadily, and faithfully, knowing that the Gospel of Peace guides every step. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer as we lift them up to you.

Family, as we continue our mini devotional nugget series on the full armour of God, I want you to truly consider the life saving value of each piece of the armour. The Apostle Paul used something that the early followers of Christ Jesus would understand in comparing the full armour of God to the battle armour of Roman soldiers during the time period.
In the traditional soldiers uniform, think of how the breastplate protected vital organs. Spiritually, righteousness protects the heart from shame, guilt, condemnation, and spiritual defeat.
This is not about perfection. It is about living covered by the righteousness of Christ while striving daily to walk uprightly before God.
Key Scripture
“…with the breastplate of righteousness in place…” Ephesians 6:14
Life Application:
The enemy loves to remind believers of past failures. But God reminds us that grace still covers us and growth is still happening. The Breastplate of Righteousness is the outward symbol of why it is so important to know the Word of God and keep it close to your heart.
Remember when Jesus was tempted in the desert by the enemy? How did Jesus fight? Jesus fought WITH THE WORD OF GOD. Family, even if you meditate and memorize one scripture passage a week about what it means to be righteous through Christ Jesus, think about how well you will be able to cast down every lie the enemy tries to get you to believe. Use your weapons!!!
Let Us Pray
Sweet Holy Spirit, thank you for teaching us practically and spiritually what it means to put on the Righteousness of Christ Jesus as our breastplate. In our heart is where the Holy Spirit dwells. We must protect our relationship with you, Lord, above all else. Continue to whisper wisdom to us through dreams, visions, and through the Word. We seek you with all of our heart, Lord Jesus. We lift this prayer to you. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

I’m so excited to be starting this mini series on the Full Armour of God from Ephesians 6:10-18. Each devotional will be short but full of important nuggets that you will be able to remember.
This evening, our focus will be the Belt of Truth.
Key Scripture:
“Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist…” Ephesians 6:14
In the Roman soldier’s armor, the belt held everything together. Spiritually, truth does the same for us.
The enemy often attacks our mind through lies and half truths. This is why it is so important to know, and be familar with, the voice of the Holy Spirit.
Here are some of the lies the enemy will try to whisper:
“You are not enough.” “God has forgotten you.” “You will never heal.” “You are too broken.”
But God’s truth steadies us when emotions and circumstances try to pull us apart.
Life Application:
Truth is not based on how we feel in difficult moments. Truth is rooted in what God says. Even when emotions fluctuate, His promises remain steady.
Let Us Pray
Spirit of the Living God, thank you for giving us instructions on how to walk on this battlefield every day. Thank you for giving us the desire to learn your voice and to grow more intimate with you. Thank you for loving us to the Cross, The Grave, and Resurrected and Ascended on High at the right hand of the Father. We lift this prayer humbly to you. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Family, Tonight, before we begin our new series on the Full Armor of God, we pause at the doorway of one of the most powerful passages in Scripture. Over the coming days, we will walk piece by piece through the armor God provides for His children. Not armor made by human hands, but spiritual protection designed for weary hearts, wounded spirits, and faithful believers who are determined to keep standing.
The Apostle Paul reminds us that the battles we face are not always visible. Some struggles come through exhaustion, discouragement, fear, grief, temptation, anxiety, uncertainty, or spiritual heaviness.
Yet God never asks us to fight defenseless. He equips us.
Paul writes:
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the [a]wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [b]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. (Ephesians 6:10-18 New King James Version)
What stands out most tonight is not the command to fight, but the command to stand.
Sometimes victory looks like simply refusing to give up.
Standing when life feels heavy. Standing when your body is tired. Standing when your emotions are overwhelmed. Standing when tears fall quietly at night. Standing when you do not have all the answers but still choose to trust God anyway.
The armor of God is not for perfect people. It is for faithful people.
Over the next several days, we will study each piece of this armor together:
The Belt of Truth The Breastplate of Righteousness The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace The Shield of Faith The Helmet of Salvation The Sword of the Spirit And the power of Prayer
Tonight is simply the introduction—the reminder that before tomorrow arrives, God has already prepared what you need to face it.
You are not walking into battle uncovered. You are clothed in the strength of God. And even now, after everything you have endured, you are still standing. Amen!!!!
Let Us Pray
Spirit of the Living God, tonight we thank You for being our protector, our strength, and our peace. Thank You for never leaving us defenseless in the battles of life. When we are weak, You remain strong. When we are weary, You sustain us.
As we begin this journey through the Full Armor of God, open our hearts to understand not only what the armor is, but why we need it daily. Teach us how to stand firm in truth, faith, righteousness, and peace.
Lord, some of us are fighting battles no one else can see. Some are exhausted emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. Yet tonight, we choose to trust that You are covering us even now.
Help us to stand when life becomes difficult. Help us to keep believing when discouragement whispers otherwise. Remind us that victory does not come through our own power, but through Your mighty strength.
Clothe us with Your armor, Lord. Guard our minds. Protect our hearts. Strengthen our spirits. And when we have done all we can do, help us to stand. In the matchless and mighty name of Jesus we pray. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Family,
There are seasons in life when people assume that challenges automatically cancel out joy. But I am learning that both can exist at the same time. Life can be demanding, and still be deeply meaningful. My body can ache, and my spirit can still be grateful. Responsibilities can feel heavy, and yet my heart can remain full.
I work two jobs, and while both require a great deal of me mentally, emotionally, and physically, they also fulfill me in ways I cannot fully explain.
There is joy in helping others. There is purpose in showing up. There is gratitude in knowing that even after difficult seasons, God still allowed me to walk back into rooms where I can encourage, support, and uplift people.
No, life is not perfect. Some days my body reminds me of its limitations. Arthritis and exhaustion sometimes try to slow me down. Challenges still come. But despite all of that, I can honestly say that I am happy.
I am grateful for the work God has placed in my hands. Most importantly, I know who I am, and whose I am. My relationship with God has become the anchor that keeps me grounded through every changing season of life.
That is why this scripture speaks so deeply to me tonight:
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
Sometimes “doing good” is not about grand accomplishments. Sometimes it simply means continuing to love, continuing to serve, continuing to trust God, and continuing to show up even when life feels physically or emotionally exhausting.
And somewhere in the middle of all of it, God gives us joy. Not surface-level happiness. Not pretend peace. But deep, rooted joy that comes from knowing He is walking beside us every step of the way. Tonight, I am thankful for that joy.
Let Us Pray
Spirit of the Living God, Thank You for carrying me through another week. Thank You for giving me strength to complete the work set before me, even on the days when my body feels tired and my mind feels full. Thank You for allowing me to serve others through the work of my hands and the compassion in my heart.
Lord, help me never to grow weary in doing good. When exhaustion tries to overwhelm me, remind me that You are my strength. When challenges arise, remind me that my life still holds purpose. When pain comes, remind me that joy can still live beside it.
Thank You for my marriage, my work, my calling, and the peace that comes from knowing who I am and whose I am. Ground my heart in Your presence tonight. Let Your peace settle over my mind and body as I rest. And above all, let my life continue to reflect Your goodness in everything I do. In the precious name of Christ Jesus we do pray. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Family,
There are moments in life when we do not fully realize how deeply connected we are to our purpose until we are separated from it for a season.
Sometimes the very thing that stretches us emotionally and mentally is also the very thing God uses to remind us why we are here.
This week, after returning to counseling and seeing clients again, something inside of me awakened. Not because life suddenly became easy again. Not because every challenge disappeared overnight. But because purpose has a way of breathing life back into weary places. I remembered who I was and am.
I remembered that counseling is not simply a profession I chose. It is part of the calling God placed inside of me long ago. It is sacred work. It is sitting with people in their pain while trusting God to meet both of us there. It is compassion, wisdom, discernment, patience, and healing woven together through His grace.
After weeks of recovery, uncertainty, physical limitations, emotional exhaustion, and wondering when life would feel normal again, I finally felt hopeful. Not just relieved, but truly Hopeful.
A line from an old hymn kept echoing in my spirittonight:
“My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.”
The hymn is called The Solid Rock, and I cannot think of a more fitting song for this season of my life. Because when everything else felt uncertain: my strength, my health, my emotions, my future, the foundation beneath me never changed.
God remained faithful. He held me together when I felt fragile. He carried me through painful days, anxious nights, physical therapy appointments, tears, setbacks, and moments where I quietly wondered how much more I could endure.
And now here I am. Still standing. Still serving. Still called. Still loved. Still hopeful. I am learning that hope is not pretending the storm never happened. Hope is discovering that God remained faithful in the middle of it all.

Let Us Pray
Heavely Father, Sweet Holy Spirit, and my Redeemer, Christ Jesus. Thank you for walking with me through this season of my life. I feel like I have been crushed, poured out, crushed, and poured out again. It is my love for you that brings me back to the altar again and again while saying, “Let your will be done on earth as it has been spoken and ordained in heaven.”
Lord, I understand more than ever the words to the song by Jekalyn Carr, Greater Is Coming (2013). The songs tells about the journey that an olive has to go through (shaking, beating, and pressing) in order for it to be ready for the table, in the form of olive oil.
Thank you for everything that I am experiencing. I trust you with my life, Lord. Continue to lead me and guide me in your perfect way, until your will has been fulfilled through my life. Thank you for allowing me to serve those who take a seat at the table.

Family, there are seasons in life when we suddenly realize we are no longer moving through the world the way we once did.
The things that used to feel easy now require effort. The strength we once carried so naturally now feels fragile. Sometimes the hardest part is not even the physical exhaustion itself, but the quiet grief that comes from recognizing that life has changed. We mourn versions of ourselves that once felt stronger, faster, more capable, more independent.
And if we are not careful, we begin to believe the lie that our value disappeared with our strength.
But tonight, I hear the gentle whisper of God saying: “My grace is sufficient for you.” Not for the stronger version of you. Not for the younger version of you. Not for the version of you that had everything figured out.
His grace is sufficient for the version of you that exists today. The weary version. The emotional version. The uncertain version. The version still trying to adapt to changes they never expected.
Paul understood what it meant to ask God to remove weakness. Yet instead of removing the struggle immediately, God answered with something deeper: Grace.
Not temporary grace. Not barely-enough grace. Sufficient grace. Grace that carries us when our own strength cannot. Sometimes we spend so much energy trying to become who we used to be that we fail to see God faithfully sustaining who we are becoming.
Maybe strength does not always look like pushing harder. Maybe sometimes strength looks like surrender. Like adapting. Like asking for help. Like continuing forward even when tears fall along the way.
God is not ashamed of our weakness. In fact, Scripture says His strength is made perfect there. Tonight, perhaps the invitation is not to fight against every limitation with frustration, but to allow God to meet us compassionately inside of them. Because even here, especially here, His grace is still sufficient.

Let Us Pray
Gentle Father, tonight I bring You the parts of my heart that feel heavy with change. Sometimes I quietly grieve the person I used to be, the strength I once carried, the ease I once felt, and the confidence I once walked in. Yet even here, You remain faithful.
Thank You for reminding me that Your grace is not reserved only for my strongest seasons. Your grace is sufficient for me today, exactly as I am. When I feel discouraged by my limitations, help me remember that my worth is not measured by productivity, appearance, energy, or ability. My worth has always been rooted in being loved by You.
Teach me to stop fighting myself so harshly. Teach me to walk gently through this season. Teach me to trust that even here, You are still shaping something beautiful within me. And when weakness makes me feel small, remind me that Your strength shines brightest there.
Wrap Your peace around my mind tonight. Quiet every fear about tomorrow. Help me rest in the comfort of knowing that I do not have to carry life alone. Your grace truly is sufficient and for that, I am forever grateful.
I lift this prayer to you. May it be a sweet fragrance. Lord in your mercy, hear my prayer.
