Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord rest, rule, and abide with you always.

Family, we are almost a quarter of the way through 2026. I am so excited about the next season of the devotional. I am especially excited about learning and growing in the things of God.

My heart’s desire for this year is to go deeper into the secret things of God mentally, spiritually, and even physically. One of the things I am excited about is reading and studying one of the oldest Bibles that contains 88 books compared to the traditional 66 of Western and European bibles.

Whenever I begin studying anything new, dealing with spirituality, I ask for the Holy Spirit to teach me as I read so that I can have an understanding past what is on the page.

Lastly, as I begin to seek God in several areas of my life, I know that at some point this year, I will be called to fasting and prayer, as I am truly seeking breakthroughs and revelations from God. I feel there is a blockage somewhere, and it has to be removed. Some things just require going deeper.

Day 86 of 365: A Clean Heart…

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you always.

Family, this evening I was thinking about the song Create In Me A Clean Heart and the Psalm of David regarding creating a clean heart in him.

Why did David ask for a clean heart? What does a clean heart allow in terms of relationship with God? Why is a clean heart  necessary in order to have a relationship with God?

David was a true worshipper of God. The one thing that always affects a true worshipper’s relationship with God is SIN.

In Psalm 51, David is pleading with God to restore his heart so that he can worship God the way he used to. The only problem is that David had broken several commandments, including lusting after another man’s wife, adultery, and murder. All of which put more and more separation between David and God.

The separation from God was literally torturing David. He stripped himself from everything and cried out to God to say, “I will do whatever it takes to restore my relationship with you. Please restore our relationship, Lord.”

May today’s scripture passage also serve as our prayer. If there is anything separating you from God, meditate on Psalm 51 and turn it into a prayer.

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord rest, rule, and abide with you always.

Family, there are moments when a topic captures our hearts so strongly that we feel compelled to learn more—not simply to gather facts, but to grow in wisdom and confidence. When it comes to salvation, this desire to understand is especially meaningful, because salvation is the foundation of our faith.


Recently, a discussion arose about whether salvation is secured by baptism alone or by believing in Jesus Christ—the Son of God who conquered sin, death, hell, and the grave.

But the beauty of the gospel is that it doesn’t force us into an either/or scenario where Scripture never intended one.


Salvation begins with Christ alone.
Jesus makes it unmistakably clear: eternal life is found only through Him. When a heart believes and a confession is made, heaven responds. That inward transformation—faith in the finished work of Jesus—is the true beginning.


But faith doesn’t hide.


Baptism becomes the outward sign of an inward change. It is a public declaration of allegiance to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It does not replace faith, nor does faith make baptism unnecessary. Instead, they work in harmony:


•Confession: the heart turns to Christ.
•Baptism: the life bears witness to that turn.

Together, they tell the story of a soul made new.

Let Us Pray

Lord Jesus, thank You for being the only way to life. Thank You for opening the door of salvation through Your sacrifice and resurrection. Help me to walk boldly in the confession of my faith and to live outwardly what You have done inwardly. May my life be a testimony of Your grace, truth, and power.

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, there are days when our hearts feel scattered, weighed down, or unsure of what to even say to God. We come to Him with situations we can’t fix, questions we can’t answer, and burdens too heavy to carry. In those moments, when words don’t come easily and the will of God feels hard to discern, Jesus gently points us back to something simple, steady, and powerful: The Lord’s Prayer.


This prayer is more than familiar words—it is a way of realigning our hearts with Heaven.

It pulls our focus away from our own agendas and brings us back to God’s kingdom, God’s priorities, and God’s daily provision. It reminds us that we are invited to surrender, to trust, and to receive.


When we sing it, pray it, or meditate on it, we allow the Holy Spirit to strip away the noise of our wants and re-shape our desires around God’s heart. The Lord’s Prayer becomes a reset button for the soul—a way to say to God, “Lead me. Feed me. Forgive me. Guide me.”


Today, as scripture, song, and prayer all point to this same message, let your spirit rest in its simplicity. You don’t need the perfect words. You only need a willing heart.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,

on earth as it is in heaven.

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you always.

Family, when we think of courage, we picture bravery—standing strong, facing fears, and walking boldly into the unknown.
When we think of surrender, we imagine letting go, giving up control, or yielding.
At first glance, these two words don’t seem like they belong together. Courage feels active; surrender feels passive. But in God’s kingdom, they meet in a beautiful, challenging way.


Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is let go.


Trusting God requires courage—real courage. Not the kind that shouts or fights, but the kind that whispers, “God, I don’t understand, but I’m placing this in Your hands.”


There are moments in life when God asks us to release something we love or something we’ve been trying to manage on our own:


•A child or family member who is struggling
•A medical diagnosis that feels overwhelming
•A relationship we can’t fix
•A situation we can’t change
•A burden we’ve carried too long


The “what‑ifs” creep in and multiply. What if it gets worse? What if I let go and everything falls apart?


But the truth is, some things are simply too big for us. And God never asked us to carry what only He can handle.


Surrender isn’t giving up—it’s giving over.
It’s not quitting—it’s trusting.
It’s not weakness—it’s courage wrapped in faith.


God invites us to release our tight grip so He can place His hand over our situation. When we surrender, we make room for His peace, His wisdom, and His power to work in ways we cannot.

Day 82 of 365: Deep Calling Unto Deep…

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, there are moments in our spiritual journey when God whispers to us in ways we cannot ignore. This year, in a quiet moment of stillness, I sensed the Holy Spirit speak: “Deep calls unto deep…” The words felt familiar, but I couldn’t immediately place them. When I searched the Scriptures, I found myself in Psalm 42—a psalm of longing, hunger, and spiritual thirst. It was exactly where my heart had been.

For a long time, I knew that things in my life were being delayed, not because God was withholding anything, but because my relationship with Him had grown complacent and stagnant. My spirit wasn’t dry—just comfortable. And comfort can quietly rob us of momentum.

So I made a decision: 2026 would be my year to go deeper.

Deep into God’s presence.
Deep into His Word.
Deep into His calling for my life.

As I leaned in, something shifted. What began as a personal commitment turned into a spiritual outpouring—one I didn’t expect. I have now written 82 devotionals in 2026 alone—one for every day of this year so far. With each one, my heart has grown softer, my ears clearer, and my thirst for God stronger.

And as my spirit has been fed at the Table of God, doors have opened—some I prayed for, others I didn’t even know to ask for. Transformation has not just visited me; it has taken residence.

Psalm 42:7 reminds us that when God calls us deeper, He does not call us into shallow waters. He calls us into depths where His waves and billows wash over us—not to drown us, but to cleanse, strengthen, and renew us.

That is what this year has become for me:
A year of being washed again.
A year of being pulled deeper.
A year of discovering that God still has more—more to teach, more to reveal, more to pour out.

And even as I look at what He has already done, I know—I have not yet finished the meal He prepared for me in 2026. There is still more on the table. More grace. More wisdom. More encounters. More depth.

Deep is still calling unto deep. And I am still answering.

Prayer of the Day

Spirit of the Living God, thank You for calling me into deeper waters with You. Thank You for awakening my spirit, stirring my hunger, and renewing my desire for Your presence. As You speak “deep calls unto deep,” give me the courage to follow wherever You lead.

Wash over me with Your waves of grace. Cleanse every place that has grown complacent. Refresh every part of me that has grown weary. Strengthen me to continue this journey of intimacy, obedience, and transformation.

Lord, keep my heart tender, my ears open, and my spirit thirsty. Let every devotional I write, every moment I surrender, and every step I take draw me further into Your depth. And as You continue to feed me from Your table, prepare me for all that You will reveal throughout the rest of this year.

I yield myself to You.
Take me deeper still. In the name of Christ I pray. Lord, in your mercy, hear my prayer.

Day 80/81 of 365: Timing Is Everything…

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, I always believe that the timing of God is perfect. The only time His timing seems “off” is when we get in the way. Shocker, right? 😄


Somehow, we’ve become experts at stepping into God’s lane and trying to take control. But what is it that drives us to do that? Why do we rush ahead of the One who sees all, knows all, and created all?

Whenever I start to pout, question, or blame God, I’m reminded of one of the most powerful moments in Scripture—when God responds to Job in Job 38.

In that chapter, God asks Job a series of questions—questions about creation, the earth’s foundations, the seas, the stars, the light, and the deep mysteries of the universe. Twenty‑five questions (and more) that no human being can answer.

Questions like:

“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?”

“Have you ever commanded the morning?”

“Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades?”

Every time I read these questions, I realize something humbling:
I still cannot answer even ONE of them.

And if I can’t answer those questions…
If I can’t explain how God holds the universe together…
Then why am I trying to take the steering wheel of my own life?

So I go back to trusting His direction.
I return to His Word.
I spend intimate time in worship.

And I remind myself:

✨ God’s timing isn’t just perfect—it’s purposeful.
✨ He sees what we don’t.
✨ He controls what we can’t.
✨ He loves us more than we understand.

When we step aside and let Him lead, peace returns. And like Job, we are brought back to awe and surrender—not because God scolds us, but because He reminds us who He is.

Spirit of the Living God, thank You for Your perfect timing. Help me step out of the way and trust You fully. When I’m tempted to control, question, or rush ahead, or even in times when I am afraid to move, please remind me of the questions You asked your servant Job so that I will always remember that You are God and I am not. Lead me as I study Your Word and worship You intimately. It is in the name of Christ that I lift this prayer to you. Lord in your mercy, hear my prayer.

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, as we journey through the season of Lent and prepare our hearts for Resurrection Sunday, we are invited into moments of reflection—moments that call us to consider the depth of our devotion to Jesus.

In our scripture passage today, I wanted to highlight Mary anointing the feet of Jesus with costly oil and wiping them with her hair.
This was not a casual act.
It was not a polite gesture.
It was pure worship.

Mary had personally experienced the miracle-working power of Jesus. Lazarus—her brother—was alive again. Gratitude overflowed into action. She gave Jesus her best, holding nothing back. Her worship filled the entire house.

In contrast, Judas questioned the worth of her offering. But Jesus defended her, revealing that her act of love pointed toward His own sacrifice—His burial, His mission, His destiny.

Mary understood what others missed:
When you know who Jesus is, nothing you give Him is too costly.

Spirit of the Living God, as we prepare for Resurrection Sunday, soften our hearts like Mary’s. Help us recognize that Jesus is our Savior, our Redeemer, the One who brings life where there was death. Teach us to worship you. Lord, with everything we have and everything we are. May our lives be a fragrance that honors You. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we do pray.

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, as spring unfolds around us, and creation begins its quiet celebration. Flowers push through the earth after their season of rest, and the soft hum of bees fills the air once again. Nature reminds us that God designs every season with intention—rest, renewal, and resurrection.

Just as the world awakens, we also enter a sacred time on the Christian calendar: the journey toward Resurrection Sunday. This is the season when believers remember the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, who took away the sins of the world. Lent becomes a special time of reflection, sacrifice, and drawing closer to God.

During this period, many choose to give up something meaningful—not to earn God’s favor, but to create spiritual space. By laying something aside, we remember Jesus’ suffering, His love, and His willingness to bear the cross for us. Our small sacrifices turn our hearts toward gratitude and reverence.

But preparation for Resurrection Sunday is more than giving something up—it’s about awakening something within.
Just as the flowers wake from winter, our spirits are invited to awaken to God’s presence. We are encouraged to slow down, pray more intentionally, and invite the Holy Spirit to renew our hearts.

Resurrection Sunday isn’t only a historical remembrance; it is a celebration of hope, victory, and new beginnings. Christ’s resurrection promises that no darkness lasts forever and no season of waiting is wasted. Life, joy, and renewal are always possible through Him.

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, as the world around us awakens, awaken our hearts as well. Help us prepare for the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection with humility, gratitude, and expectation. Renew our spirits, draw us closer to You, and let this season deepen our understanding of Your love. It is in the name of Jesus the Christ that we lift this prayer. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayers.

Family, I want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of the Sacred Journey Devotional Blog Community. There are subscribers literally from all over the world.

When I looked at the map that contained the geographic location of our community, I was truly honored and supremely grateful for all of you who are walking with me on such a personal spiritual journey. I want to continue to encourage you with this scripture from Ephesians.

Ephesians 4:2-6

2 Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. 3 Try always to be led along together by the Holy Spirit and so be at peace with one another.
