Day 69 of 365: Hold Fast…

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, this evening, the words “hold fast” dropped into my spirit. Wanting clarity, I searched the Scriptures and found that holding fast is not passive. It is intentional. It means clinging tightly, refusing to let go, and standing firm in what we say we believe.

In today’s language, hold fast might sound like “stand on business.” It’s a declaration of confidence and commitment. Hebrews 10:23 calls believers to that very posture—not because circumstances are easy, but because God is faithful.

The verse doesn’t say hold fast if everything makes sense or hold fast when life is comfortable. It says hold fast without wavering. Why? Because our faith is anchored not in ourselves, but in the One who made the promise. When we stay rooted in our confession of faith, God proves—again and again—that He can be trusted.

Holding fast is how faith becomes visible. It’s how belief turns into endurance. And it’s how God’s faithfulness is revealed in real life.

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, help me to hold fast to what I believe, even when doubts arise. Strengthen my resolve and remind me that You are faithful to every promise You’ve made. Teach me to stand firm, trusting You completely. I lift this prayer in the name of my Lord and Redeemer, Jesus, The Christ.

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, I’ve always promised to be transparent and honest. Today is one of those days that I am mad, confused, and want to have an “Easy” button to push. It seems like things aren’t going as planned, and if they are going as planned, the plan is taking a mighty long time. I know that the space I’m in right now – I can’t hear the Holy Spirit because my brain is going 100 mph. It is in these times that I have to ask for the Lord’s forgiveness and allow his grace and peace to come and wash over me.

So, I leave you with this scripture for today.

God spoke these words to Israel when they felt trapped, overwhelmed, and unsure of the plan—much like we do sometimes. Stillness doesn’t mean giving up; it means trusting. When we can’t see progress, God is still at work. When our minds won’t slow down, His power hasn’t sped up or slowed down—it remains constant.

Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is stop striving, breathe, and remember: the battle is not ours to control, but God’s to fight.

Let Us Pray

Lord, quiet my racing thoughts. Forgive me when frustration clouds my faith. Help me to be still, trust Your timing, and rest in the truth that You are fighting for me. Let Your grace and peace wash over me today. In the precious and perfect name of Jesus, The Christ.

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, before I write the devotional every evening, there is a moment of holy stillness— a quieting the mind and the space—to hear the gentle whisper of the Holy Spirit. In that quiet stillness, one truth rises clearly this evening: God is more than enough.

There is never a moment when we can outgive God. Whether it’s love, peace, patience, provision, grace, or mercy, God always goes above and beyond. What we offer may feel small, but what God returns is abundant—often more than we expected or even thought to ask for.

Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 9:8 that God’s blessings are not just sufficient; they are overflowing. He supplies what we need, at all times, so that we can continue doing good. This isn’t about lack—it’s about abundance with purpose.

As the song says, “You can’t beat God’s giving, no matter how you try.” When we trust Him, we discover again and again that His grace truly is more than enough.

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, when life feels loud and crowded with responsibilities, God gently invites us back to one thing—His presence. David’s words in Psalm 27:4 remind us that clarity doesn’t come from doing more, but from desiring rightly. When seeking the Lord becomes our priority, everything else finds its proper place.

Quieting your mind, slowing your breath, and turning your attention toward God creates room for peace. In that stillness, the Spirit whispers truth, comfort, and direction. The world may keep rushing, but when God is at the center, your heart learns to rest.

Seeking God’s face isn’t about perfection—it’s about position. Positioning your heart toward Him daily allows His beauty, wisdom, and order to shape your life. From that place, confusion gives way to peace, and burdens feel lighter.

Greetings, Precious Family;

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, I spent so much time getting lost in good music that I almost forgot to write this devotional. But maybe that’s not a bad thing. There is something deeply healing and restorative about being immersed in worship and praise—about letting music quiet our minds and lift our hearts toward God. Worship reminds us who God is and who we are in Him.

Yet Scripture reminds us that worship was never meant to be experienced alone.

Hebrews 10:19–25 tells us that because of Jesus, we have confidence to enter God’s presence. Through His sacrifice, a new and living way has been opened for us—one that invites us not only to draw near to God, but also to one another. Our faith journey is both personal and communal.

The writer of Hebrews urges us to draw near with sincere hearts, hold firmly to hope, and consider how we can encourage one another toward love and good deeds. That encouragement happens best when we are connected. There is something powerful about two or more people coming together to lift up the name of the Lord. When we gather, worship multiplies, faith is strengthened, and burdens become lighter.

Fellowship is not just about being present—it’s about being intentional. It’s about showing up, speaking life, offering prayer, and reminding one another of God’s faithfulness. Especially in seasons when hope feels fragile, our togetherness becomes a lifeline.

As the passage reminds us, we should not neglect meeting together, but instead use those moments to encourage one another—now more than ever. Worship may begin in private, but it is strengthened in community.

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, have you ever waited with excitement for a meal that looked amazing, only to be disappointed when it had no flavor? Jesus uses that same idea to make a powerful point. Salt that has lost its taste is useless. In the same way, faith that isn’t lived out loses its impact.

Jesus calls us salt, meant to bring flavor, preservation, and influence to the world around us. Our words, attitudes, and choices should make a difference. When we compromise, blend in, or stay silent, we risk becoming spiritually bland.

He also calls us light. Light isn’t meant to be hidden. It guides, exposes, and brings clarity in darkness. Our faith should be visible—not for attention, but so others can see God through how we live.

The world doesn’t need perfectly presented faith; it needs authentic, flavorful, shining faith.

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, today’s reminder is simple but urgent: the enemy doesn’t need to destroy you to derail you. Sometimes, distraction is enough.

Think about it—if someone wanted to trap a mouse, they wouldn’t use fire. They’d use something appealing. Something comfortable. Something familiar. In the same way, the enemy often uses comfort, busyness, and subtle distractions to pull us away from God’s purpose.

When we get too comfortable, our guard comes down. Prayer fades. Worship becomes optional. Discernment dulls. Yet Scripture reminds us that we are not civilians—we are soldiers in the army of the Lord. This means we must stay alert, spiritually nourished, and fully engaged.

This is not meant to cause fear, but awareness. God has equipped us with His Word, His presence, and His Spirit so we can stand firm. Victory comes from staying connected, vigilant, and obedient.

Spirit of the Living God, thank you for not allowing  us to be complacent and comfortable as Christians. If we have, please stir up the gifts inside of us to remind us who we are and what we have been ordained to do for the kingdom of God. Wake this nation up and wake the world up from its spiritual slumber. Call out a clarion call to the worldwide body of Christ and tell them it’s time to fight. It is with the authority and power of the blood of the Lamb that we seal this prayer in Jesus, The Christ name.

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, when you think of the word “redeemed” outside of Christianity, what definition comes to mind?

When I think of being redeemed or to redeem, I think about the meaning of having bought back, recovered, or liberated something by paying a price or fulfilling a promise.

When I think about the love God has for us and that he redeemed his glory for our sin. What an amazing love!!! No matter how many times I think about it, tears still fill my eyes.

Why, Lord? Why redeem me? Your love is an overwhelming love. Thank you, Lord.

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, I have been watching a lot of basketball with my husband, and it has revealed a powerful life lesson. When players huddle around the coach, they receive a clear plan. The problems start when someone goes off script—ignoring instructions and hurting the whole team. Often, frustration follows. But every now and then, a player looks at their teammates and says, “My bad.”

Those two words matter.

Taking responsibility isn’t easy. It requires humility, honesty, and courage. Yet that moment of ownership can restore trust and help the team move forward. Scripture reminds us that humility leads to wisdom, and wisdom strengthens relationships—on the court and in life.

God calls us to be people who own our mistakes, learn from them, and grow. When we admit we were wrong, we reflect Christlike humility and allow healing to begin.

Family, I pray you had a great week. My weekend was filled with joy and then lots of rest due to food poisoning. LOL

All the time in bed made me grateful for such an amazing weekend. I have the most incredible circle of sisterhood sisters. We spend time pouring into each other. This weekend, a precious sister just allowed me to be vulnerable, and she truly ministered to my soul and spirit. I will forever be grateful for this moment. Thank you, Ms. Tyra.
