Oh How He Loves…

Good morning, Family:

I pray this letter finds you well and dwelling in the perfect peace of the Lord.

One thing I have been praying for is that God would help me go deeper in my devotional time and for my time to be more consistent. The reason is that at some point I started squeezing God out of my day.

There was a time in my life that I would wake up singing and giving my highest praises to God. As a result, I stayed in the ever-flowing stream of God’s consciousness. Spiritual knowledge came to me quickly and effortlessly. I have read the Bible cover to cover more times than I can remember.

However, when life began getting more busy and the hours of my day were filled with so much activity, my time with God suffered. I was either too tired or too encumbered to add God back into my day. Lately, I have been so hungry to get back to that place of intimacy.

This morning, I woke up with God on my mind. The script that came to me was John 3:16, which is a very popular scripture. God pushed me to read the entire passage. I had forgotten that the entire passage had a deeper revelation.

Scriptures of Life and Light

John 3:16-21

New Catholic Bible

16 “For God so loved the world
that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
may not perish
but may attain eternal life.
17 For God did not send his Son into the world
to condemn the world
but in order that the world might be saved through him.
18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned,
but whoever does not believe in him
already stands condemned,
because he has not believed in the name
of the only-begotten Son of God.
19 “And the judgment is this:
the light has come into the world,
but people preferred darkness to light
because their deeds were evil.
20 Everyone who does evil hates the light
and avoids coming near the light
so that his misdeeds may not be exposed.
21 However, whoever lives by the truth
comes to the light
so that it may be clearly seen
that his deeds have been done
in God.”

Family, John 3 has so much of a message. It is so much deeper than a single verse. John 3’s main message is about love in action and the characteristics of love that has been redeemed by the perfect and pure sacrifice of the cross.

I love you with the amazing and everlasting love of our Lord and Redeemer Jesus, The Christ.

When Life is Lifing…

Greetings, Precious Family:

I pray this week’s letter finds you abiding in the perfect peace of our Lord. The same peace that calmed the storm, just by Jesus speaking to it by saying, “Peace, Be still.”

One thing that stays consistently true is that life can and does throw us curve balls. The term people are using now is, “Life be lifing.” Which essentially means that they have faced some challenges and hurdles, but they are still standing. Whenever I hear someone say that, I say a quiet “Amen” in agreement.

Right now, I am facing a very LOUD ticking clock to find a site to work at in order to complete my Clinical Mental Counseling requirements for Masters degree. This part of my educational journey has been so difficult. I have to have my site paperwork in by October 13th. The site I was going to work with changed their minds last minute, and now I have only a month to find a new site.

I’m trying to stay focused and stand on the peace of God that tells me it’s going to be ok. Please be in prayer that I would connect with the right organization in order to fulfill my graduation requirements of three semesters of Practicum and Internship for a total of 700 hours.

If I had not seen God’s provision and faithfulness before, I would be worried, but I have personally seen God come through for me time and time again. I know God to be a promise keeper.

So, I speak out into the atmosphere and say this:

“I trust you, Lord. Allow the right company to be illuminated in my spirit so that I will know it is the place you have chosen just for me. Allow me to have favor in their eyes. I rebuke any stumbling blocks, or traps, set by the enemy I WILL be still and know that you are in complete control and you are right here with me, Amen.”

Scriptures of Peace

Mark 4:35-41

Modern English Version

The Calming of a Storm

35 That same day, when the evening came, He said to them, “Let us go cross to the other side.” 36 When they had sent the crowd away, they took Him in the boat just as He was. There were also other little boats with Him. 37 A great wind storm arose, and the waves splashed into the boat, so that it was now filling the boat. 38 He was in the stern asleep on a pillow. They woke Him and said, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”

39 He rose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” Then the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

40 He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is that you have no faith?”

41 They feared greatly and said to one another, “What kind of Man is He, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”

Family, yes, life can throw us some serious curve balls. Life is lifing right now, but I stand on one thing my mother always tells me, “Remember, Marcia, we don’t serve no weak God.” This is the reminder I have for all of us. Don’t look at the storm. Focus on God. It is through us standing in the power of Jesus that we can rebuke the wind and speak to our storm by saying, “Peace, be still.”

I love you all with the amazing and everlasting love of Jesus Christ, who is our Savior, Redeemer, and Lord.

It’s Already Alright…

Greetings, Precious Family:

It is with the complete and encompassing Peace of the Lord that I write this letter to you.

I joyfully remind each of you, AND ME, that the Lord’s Peace is something that is always available to us. It is not something that comes automatically. We have to choose to accept it. When fear, trouble, trauma, bills, and even when death comes, we can still decide to accept and rest in God’s peace.

Scriptures of Peace

Philippians 4:6-7

Modern English Version

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with gratitude, make your requests known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will protect your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:12-17

Modern English Version

12 So embrace, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, a spirit of mercy, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, and longsuffering. 13 Bear with one another and forgive one another. If anyone has a quarrel against anyone, even as Christ forgave you, so you must do. 14 And above all these things, embrace love, which is the bond of perfection.

15 Let the peace of God, to which also you are called in one body, rule in your hearts. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Family, a new season is just around the corner. If everything has seemed chaotic and out of control, God just needed to give you time to get it under control and corrected.

One thing I know for sure is that as God is preparing us for GREATER. He will not allow us to move forward if part of our life is out of order. He will be on our timetable. If it takes us one day, one month, or one year, God will not allow anything that needs to be corrected to move into our new season or “house.”

Just like preparing to move from one house to another, we may need to have garage sales, donations to charity, or just throw things way. No matter what, it’s NOT COMING to the new house.

Trust me, I’ve had to change a lot of things in my life once I realized God was not going to advance me in my old mindset. My report card was not good, and I failed a couple of life classes.

So now, I can gladly say that I have made some big changes in my life, and I am much happier, and I definitely have more peace. I still have more work to do. God is definitely STILL working on and with me.

Family, keep pushing forward. Don’t get “comfortable” in a season or mindset you were not meant to dwell in long-term.

We can do this!!!!!
