2 Timothy 1:7
Amplified Bible
7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].

Heavenly Creator and Lord of All:
I thank you for the gift of waking up this morning. I’m grateful for every moment I am given. Most things in my life come to me pretty easily, with a few exceptions.
Due to the fact that most things were easy and required little effort, I naively thought everything else, in my life, was going to be easy. In this season of my life, more effort has been required of me. I have had to put in extra work and it has been hard. I will admit that I have thought about going a different path that was easier. The problem is that You, Lord, called me to this path. You knew it would be uncomfortable and hard for me. I am definitely outside of my comfort zone and I’m a little scared. Thank you for the Word of God in 2 Timothy.
Lord, thank you for this path you have called me to, in this season. I know that you have already gone before me and have prepared a way for me. Teach me how to press past my comfort zone and put in the work that needs to be done, IN PREPARATION FOR THE NEXT LEVEL. Thank you for loving me in this very moment. Your love has transformed me. Continue to work on us and help us to grow. In Jesus’ name,
Amen. Rev. Marcia Davis
