Peace Be Still…

Special Note: I love my husband Anthony’s heart for God. He knows the power and authority of calling on the name of Jesus. Anthony also says the same phrase that Jesus did, whenever he senses confusion, chaos, or unrest. He will simply say, “Peace be still.” The atmosphere obeys Anthony, not because he is special, but because the atmosphere knows under whose authority he is speaking.

Mark 4:37-39

New King James Version

37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. 38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”

39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

To the Lover of our Soul,

Lord Jesus, thank you for showing, teaching and reminding us of the authority and power we have in your name. We were created in your image. In scripture, you often remind us that the same authority you have we also have, because we are family and we are connected. May we use our spiritual muscles more each day. May we take control of the atmosphere, like you taught us. May we remember that as long as we pray, according to YOUR WILL, whatever we pray for shall be done. Mature us and grow us up. In your name we pray, Jesus, Amen.

  1. Thank you for reminding us that we have the authority to speak over our circumstance in the name of Jesus. I am grateful that we are his, bought with a price, and that he loves us no matter what.

    1. Amen. I was reminded as well. Even though I am a vessel that the word comes through, God knows I need the reminder just as much as anyone. I stay in a humbled place because I know how much I need Jesus. Like you said, he loves us no matter what.
