John 14:3
New International Version
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
Today’s Thoughts
When Jesus tells us that he is going ahead of us to prepare a place for us, we have to understand the deeper meaning of what is being said.
The “place” does not always mean heaven. Your “place” may be a new job, a new state, or a new season. Our job, as the body of Christ, is to be so sensitive to the Lord’s voice and timing, that when he whispers, “The place I have prepared is ready for you now,” we are ready to shift.
The Prayer…
Gracious Father,
We long for more of you. We know that as we draw closer to you, your will for our lives becomes more clear. As we run after your voice, your presence, your will, purify our heart’s desire for more intimate worship with you. We hunger for you, not because of what we can get, but because of who you are, Lord God. Cleanse our hands, as they rise to heaven in worship. Purify our mouth, so that we can be worthy vessels for your Spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. Rev. Marcia Davis
