The Rock…

monkimage

Good morning, Family:

Let’s dive right into the scriptures this morning. Hold on tight to this nugget of truth. I need you to see that God was not only talking to Peter. God was talking to anyone who received the revelation from the Holy Spirit regarding the Truth of who Jesus is and was. Peter was A rock. Jesus is THE ROCK!

Matthew 16:13-20

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

Who Is Jesus?

13 When Jesus and his disciples were near the town of Caesarea Philippi, he asked them, “What do people say about the Son of Man?”

14 The disciples answered, “Some people say you are John the Baptist or maybe Elijah or Jeremiah or some other prophet.”

15 Then Jesus asked them, “But who do you say I am?”

16 Simon Peter spoke up, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

17 Jesus told him:

Simon, son of Jonah, you are blessed! You didn’t discover this on your own. It was shown to you by my Father in heaven.

18 So I will call you Peter, which means “a rock.” On this rock I will build my church, and death itself will not have any power over it.

19 I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven, and God in heaven will allow whatever you allow on earth. But he will not allow anything that you don’t allow.

20 Jesus told his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.

Walk in peace and truth, knowing that the Spirit of the Living and Eternal God will lead and guide you in all things. Stay hungry and thirsty for the Lord. Feast on His Word. Ask for eyes to see and ears to hear the manifested and Living Word.

Go in peace,

Rev. Marcia Davis

Restore the Joy…

day-23 (1)

Greetings and Abundant Love, Family:

What an amazing life we get to live, on this earthly journey. Happiness, joy, sickness, pain, health, and peace. Each day is another testament to the adventures of life.

Sometimes we have days that are filled with more seasons of sadness, grief, sickness and pain. Multiple days of hardship can wear on the heart, spirit and even the mind. During these time, we must hold on to God with all of our strength. If we dont, the enemy of our soul will begin to feed on our dark place.

Take back your joy!!!

Take back your peace!!

Psalm 51:10-12

New International Version (NIV)

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Be honest with yourself. If you are hurting and in pain, cry out to the Most High God. Allow God to pour his love over you. Allow his perfect love to heal, renew, refresh and restore you.

Will thou be made whole???

Call on the Great Healer. Only God can do a perfect work in your heart, mind, soul and spirit. Just cry out and call on the name of Jesus, our Deliverer and Redeemer.

Be well,

Rev. Marcia Davis

Good morning, Family:

I pray this message finds you doing well and at peace in your heart, mind, soul and spirit.

Today is a brand new day, full of new mercies and blessings. Greet the day with a thankful heart.

Lamentations 3:22-26

New International Version (NIV)

22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
    for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”

25 The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him,
    to the one who seeks him;
26 it is good to wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord.

In His amazing and abundant grace,

The God Who Sanctifies…

Jehovah Mekoddishkem

(The Lord Who Sanctifies You)

Father, I thank you for continually being God in my life and in every circumstance. I am grateful for your patience and mercy and that your desire is always for me to be better.

I thank you that you are a Sanctifier in every area of my life. Continue to have your way in my life. Continue to sanctify me as I grow and transform into your image and likeness.

Help me to trust your hands, your will and your methods for sanctifying me. I trust you completely, more than I trust anything else. Sanctify my thoughts, my mouth, my heart, my relationships, my finances, my worship and my life, as I walk and live for you.

Let my life be a reflection of your goodness, grace and mercy. Let the world, that I meet everyday, meet the woman you have sanctified and washed over with your Word and through the Resurection Power of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Serve the Lord with gladness and joy!!

Good morning, Family:

The excerpts below were taken directly from the Department of Defense’s Website.

“The foundational strength of the Department of Defense is the men and women who volunteer to serve our country and protect our freedoms. The Department of Defense provides the military forces needed to deter war and ensure our nation’s security.

As one who has several family members that served this country, I am so honored and proud of their acceptance to the call to serve.

I want to say, “Thank You,” to all of the amazing men and women who said, “Yes.” If you are a veteran please let me know, so that I can personally recognize you to all of the Sacred Journey Devotional Family.

2 Timothy 2:1-2

Living Bible (TLB)

O Timothy, my son, be strong with the strength Christ Jesus gives you. For you must teach others those things you and many others have heard me speak about. Teach these great truths to trustworthy men who will, in turn, pass them on to others.

Thank you to all who served this beautiful country and to all who continue to serve.

God bless you,

Rev. Marcia Davis

No Weapon…

no-weapon-formed

Isaiah 54:16-17

Living Bible (TLB)

16 I have created the smith who blows the coals beneath the forge and makes the weapons of destruction. And I have created the armies that destroy. 17 But in that coming day, no weapon turned against you shall succeed, and you will have justice against every courtroom lie. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. This is the blessing I have given you, says the Lord.

Go in peace, Family. Serve the Lord with gladness and obedience.

I Shall Wear A Crown…

2 Timothy 4:1-8

New International Version (NIV)

In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

May our mighty God, bless you and keep you in PERFECT peace.

What Must I Do?

istockphoto-922742094-612x612

Good morning, Family:

I pray that your week will be filled with joy, peace, obedience, gratitude, and faith. I always call you “family” because we are a part of three different family circles.

First, we are all a part of the Family of Life. Second, we are a part of the Family of the human race, Third, we are a part of the Family of Believers in Jesus Christ.

For all of us, the first two families are automatic. There is nothing you need to do to join. However, the third family group requires something special. It requires Faith.

How do you become become a member of the Family of Christ? This is what the Word of God says:

Romans 10:9-13

New International Version (NIV)

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Rejoice in the Lord, always.

Again, I say REJOICE!!!!
