Good morning, Family:

What an amazing day this will be! You may ask me, how in the world do I know what kind of day it will be? Well, I am making a choice. No matter what comes my way, today, I choose joy.

There is an old children’s song that we used to sing in Sunday school. The song has these words, “I’ve got the joy, joy, joy down in my heart, down in my heart to stay.”

What has caused the joy? What created the joy? Is it money? Is it fame? Is it notoriety? No, the joy that is “down in my heart” is a joy that didn’t originate from me. It is a joy that comes from having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Even if I have a day that does not turn out perfectly, I can still have JOY, because I know that God will use a non-perfect situation for my growth and His glory. So it is a win-win situation!!

Trials and Temptations

² Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, ³ because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. ⁴ Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. ⁵ If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. ⁶ But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
