Good morning, Family:
I hope you had a weekend that was filled with remembrance and honor, for the brave men and women who honorably served this country and gave their lives for our freedom.
My husband and I proudly raised our flag at our home yesterday. My husband is a veteran who almost did not make it back home, as he was seriously wounded during the Gulf War. I know when he raises the flag it means something.
Thank you to all of the family, friends and loved ones who have lost a soldier. I know that your lives are forever changed by the sacrifice that was made. May God continue to give you strength, peace and hope.
I honor all branches of the armed services. Thank you to all of the young men and women out of high school that have decided to sign up for your country. You are now a part of greatness and honor. May God continually protect and keep you.
Psalm 5:11-12
New International Version (NIV)
11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your namemay rejoice in you.
12 Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield.
Go in peace while faithfully serving and praising the Lord.
