I Am…

Good morning, Family:

Happy Friday, if you are here in the states. Happy Day for our family all across the world.

In yesterday’s devotional, we talked about God’s grace being more than enough to help us through anything. Today, we will talk about WHY God’s grace is more than sufficient.

When God told Moses that he had to go before Pharaoh to tell Pharaoh to let the people of Israel go, Moses had to also go to his people and tell them that God sent him to set them free. Moses asked the Lord, if the people ask who sent me on this rescue mission, who should I say gave me the orders? God told Moses to tell the people that “I Am That I Am” sent has sent you.

What is encompassed in the totality of  the title “I Am Who Am?” It is same power that we spoke of yesterday, God’s Grace. God’s grace takes many forms and can be used in any situation.

There is nothing to hard for God. If God gave you instructions to do a certain thing, trust and believe that he will give you the provisions to make it happen. You must have faith and you must know how to listen.

Exodus 3:13-14

13 Then Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the People of Israel and I tell them, ‘The God of your fathers sent me to you’; and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ What do I tell them?”

14 God said to Moses, “I-AM-WHO-I-AM. Tell the People of Israel, ‘I-AM sent me to you.’”

My Grace is Sufficient…

Good morning, Family:

I was thinking about my Christian journey. I love my walk with the Lord. I have to admit, there is an aspect of my life that I truly wish God would just remove.

Family, have you ever asked God to take a certain problem away, so that you wouldn’t have to struggle and deal with it anymore?

Has God ever not removed it? Do you ever wonder why?

2 Corinthians 12:8-9

Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Draw Me Close To You..

Good morning, Family:

Both yesterday and today, I have been  longing deeply for more intimacy with the Lord. Just when I believe I am satisfied, God calls me even deeper.

I am always so overjoyed when God, through His Holy Spirit, calls my name. God created us to worship. There is never a time when God will not want us to come closer. In the “right now” moment, is always the perfect time to fellowship with God. Listen for God to whisper to your spirit. When he calls, may our response be, “Yes, Lord, I am here.”

James 4:7-8

So give yourselves humbly to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. And when you draw close to God, God will draw close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and let your hearts be filled with God alone to make them pure and true to him.

I Salute You…

Good morning, Family:

I hope you had a weekend that was filled with remembrance and honor, for the brave men and women who honorably served this country and gave their lives for our freedom.

My husband and I proudly raised our flag at our home yesterday. My husband is a veteran who almost did not make it back home, as he was seriously wounded during the Gulf War. I know when he raises the flag it means something.

Thank you to all of the family, friends and loved ones who have lost a soldier. I know that your lives are forever changed by the sacrifice that was made. May God continue to give you strength, peace and hope.

I honor all branches of the armed services. Thank you to all of the young men and women out of high school that have decided to sign up for your country. You are now a part of greatness and honor. May God continually protect and keep you.

Why Prision Ministry?

Good morning, Family:

I know today’s title may not be an expected devotional title. I truly believe in showing love, grace, hope and friendship to our brothers and sisters serving time in prision. They need a reminder of the love of Christ. They need hope that only Christ can bring. And just like us, our brothers and sisters in prision need the reminder that they have been redeemed and forgiven of their sins through the blood of Jesus Christ.

13 Continue to love each other with true brotherly love. Don’t forget to be kind to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it! Don’t forget about those in jail. Suffer with them as though you were there yourself. Share the sorrow of those being mistreated, for you know what they are going through.

What a Wonderful World…

Today, if you haven’t already, focus your attention on things that are good and things that bring you joy. I think about the song by Louis Armstrong entitled, “What a Wonderful World.”There is a lot to be said for what we put our attention toward.

Justice Is on the Way

3-4 You need to know, friends, that thanking God over and over for you is not only a pleasure; it’s a must. We have to do it. Your faith is growing phenomenally; your love for each other is developing wonderfully. Why, it’s only right that we give thanks. We’re so proud of you; you’re so steady and determined in your faith despite all the hard times that have come down on you. We tell everyone we meet in the churches all about you.

5-10 All this trouble is a clear sign that God has decided to make you fit for the kingdom. You’re suffering now, but justice is on the way. When the Master Jesus appears out of heaven in a blaze of fire with his strong angels, he’ll even up the score by settling accounts with those who gave you such a bad time. His coming will be the break we’ve been waiting for. Those who refuse to know God and refuse to obey the Message will pay for what they’ve done. Eternal exile from the presence of the Master and his splendid power is their sentence. But on that very same day when he comes, he will be exalted by his followers and celebrated by all who believe—and all because you believed what we told you.

11-12 Because we know that this extraordinary day is just ahead, we pray for you all the time—pray that our God will make you fit for what he’s called you to be, pray that he’ll fill your good ideas and acts of faith with his own energy so that it all amounts to something. If your life honors the name of Jesus, he will honor you. Grace is behind and through all of this, our God giving himself freely, the Master, Jesus Christ, giving himself freely.

He Knows Your Name…
