I am always amazed at the majesty, beauty and greatness of our God. The God that created the earth, sky and see also took time to create you and me. Not only did he create us, but after doing so he said that we were good.
Then, I think about how much God loved us, knowing all that we were and are capable of, as we were born into our sinful nature. Oh, but the sweet wonder of a loving, powerful, as and redeeming God. My soul begins to swell up inside of me as it recalls how good God has been.
This weekend, I challenge each of us to think of the many ways the wonders of God has changed our lives. I would love to hear your testimonials. Your words will bless and encourage others.
Who else is like the Lord among the gods? Who is glorious in holiness like him? Who is so awesome in splendor, A wonder-working God?
Go in peace, while praising and serving our Wondrous God.
Today, we continue our series on Miracles, Signs and Wonders. Today we talk about the magnificent holiness and glory of God.
Now, let me say this. God is 100% pure holiness. God’s holiness and glory is not diluted by anything. Because of the richness of God’s holiness, we as humans have to approach God in a special way.
In Exodus 3, when Moses was standing near the burning bush, God commanded him to remove his shoes because the ground he was standing on was holy.
In Exodus 33 Moses asks so see God’s glory and this is God’s response:
Living Bible (TLB)
17 And the Lord had replied to Moses, “Yes, I will do what you have asked, for you have certainly found favor with me, and you are my friend.” 18 Then Moses asked to see God’s glory. 19 The Lord replied, “I will make my goodness pass before you, and I will announce to you the meaning of my name Jehovah, the Lord. I show kindness and mercy to anyone I want to. 20 But you may not see the glory of my face, for man may not see me and live. 21 However, stand here on this rock beside me. 22 And when my glory goes by, I will put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed. 23 Then I will remove my hand, and you shall see my back but not my face.”
So many people are casual with God, but if there was true understanding of the character and nature of God, I believe we would approach life as a believer differently.
I pray this morning greets each of you with love, joy, hope, and knowledge that God has designed you for a special holy purpose.
Family, as we continue this week, on the series of miracles, signs, and wonders, we pause today to reflect on the miracle of sanctification.
Is God leading you to a higher place of living, talking and walking in your daily life? We grow in our sanctification every moment we decide and make a godly choice.
How are we living when no one is watching? Would God be pleased? Living a pleasing life, to God, means that our entire life is now an act of worship. Our lives should be a sweet love song to God. No, we are not perfect, but sanctification is the process of preparation for holiness.
To be sanctified means to be set a part for a special or holy purpose. Let’s read today’s scripture:
2 Timothy 2:20-26
Living Bible (TLB)
20 In a wealthy home there are dishes made of gold and silver as well as some made from wood and clay. The expensive dishes are used for guests, and the cheap ones are used in the kitchen or to put garbage in. 21 If you stay away from sin you will be like one of these dishes made of purest gold—the very best in the house—so that Christ himself can use you for his highest purposes.
22 Run from anything that gives you the evil thoughts that young men often have, but stay close to anything that makes you want to do right. Have faith and love, and enjoy the companionship of those who love the Lord and have pure hearts.
23 Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish arguments, which only upset people and make them angry. 24 God’s people must not be quarrelsome; they must be gentle, patient teachers of those who are wrong. 25 Be humble when you are trying to teach those who are mixed up concerning the truth. For if you talk meekly and courteously to them, they are more likely, with God’s help, to turn away from their wrong ideas and believe what is true. 26 Then they will come to their senses and escape from Satan’s trap of slavery to sin, which he uses to catch them whenever he likes, and then they can begin doing the will of God.
Go in peace, while serving and praising the Lord. Let joy be your handmaiden and peace be your constant companion.
I love you with the amazing and everlasting love of God.
Isn’t it wonderful that we can all rejoice that we are walking miracles of God’s grace and mercy. As our “thank you” back to God, we do our best to learn, grow and be transformed by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.
Why is it important to do our best to live holy, sanctified, and righteous lives? We are the reflections of God. Our lives are constantly in a state of transformation, as we daily grow in the knowledge and power of God. None of us will be perfect until we are face to face with God, but we strive daily to be please to God, as it is our reasonable sacrifice back to him. Our lives are our offerings.
2 Corinthians 3:16-18
The Message (MSG)
16-18 Whenever, though, they turn to face God as Moses did, God removes the veil and there they are—face-to-face! They suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We’re free of it! All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.
Let’s begin our week knowing that we have divine placement in the kingdom of God. Allow the presence of God to flow through you. We are all partakers and demonstrators in the wonders of God. Allow the miracle of your redeemed life to shine through the darkness of this world.
Living Bible (TLB)
2 So we must listen very carefully to the truths we have heard, or we may drift away from them. 2 For since the messages from angels have always proved true and people have always been punished for disobeying them, 3 what makes us think that we can escape if we are indifferent to this great salvation announced by the Lord Jesus himself and passed on to us by those who heard him speak?
4 God always has shown us that these messages are true by signs and wonders and various miracles and by giving certain special abilities from the Holy Spirit to those who believe; yes, God has assigned such gifts to each of us.
5 And the future world we are talking about will not be controlled by angels. 6 No, for in the book of Psalms David says to God, “What is mere man that you are so concerned about him? And who is this Son of Man you honor so highly? 7 For though you made him lower than the angels for a little while, now you have crowned him with glory and honor. 8 And you have put him in complete charge of everything there is. Nothing is left out.”
We have not yet seen all of this take place, 9 but we do see Jesus—who for a while was a little lower than the angels—crowned now by God with glory and honor because he suffered death for us. Yes, because of God’s great kindness, Jesus tasted death for everyone in all the world.
I’m so very thankful for each and every one of you. The love of God that is in my heart for each of you is indescribable. I give glory to the Most High God for true love in its purest form.
May you each walk with the love of God in your heart and mind. Give glory to God in every circumstance. Even when things dont turn out your way, it is so important to give God glory.
2 Corinthians 4:13-15
Living Bible (TLB)
13 We boldly say what we believe, trusting God to care for us,[a] just as the psalm writer did when he said, “I believe and therefore I speak.” 14 We know that the same God who brought the Lord Jesus back from death will also bring us back to life again with Jesus and present us to him along with you. 15 These sufferings of ours are for your benefit. And the more of you who are won to Christ, the more there are to thank him for his great kindness, and the more the Lord is glorified.
Be glorified through us, Lord, as we live our lives for you. We take joy in serving you, until we meet face to face.
23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
25 “All this I have spoken while still with you.26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Go in, rely on, trust in the perfect Peace of the Lord, while faithfully serving with joy and gladness.
Just when I can’t see a way out or a way through, God shows Himself strong and provides one of the following:
A Way Out…
A Way Through…
A Way To…
A Way For…
Good morning, Family:
With God All things are possible, in according to His divine will. It is so important that when we pray for direction that we pray in accordance to the will of God.
Why pray God’s will? Praying according to His will positions us for peace, victory and breakthrough.
Our prayer today:
Father, God, order my steps and lean my heart to your will and your desire, so that the outcome may be effortless, as I submit to your leading. Holy Spirit of God, help me to be so sensitive to your voice that I can hear you in the whisper. Thank you for making a way. Let your will be done on earth and in my life as it has been spoken, decreed and declared in heaven, in Jesus name, Amen.
Be blessed, family. Stay close to God. Stay in the protection of his wings. Go in peace while praising and serving the Lord.
It’s a new day! We are starting fresh and greeting God with joy, thanksgiving, and a willingness to serve.
Family, you all are on my mind every day. Stay encouraged and have an open mind and heart for the things of God. God wants so much to show you new and amazing things, but first we have to get ready for the journey.
2 Timothy 2:1-13
The Message (MSG)
Doing Your Best for God
2 1-7 So, my son, throw yourself into this work for Christ. Pass on what you heard from me—the whole congregation saying Amen!—to reliable leaders who are competent to teach others. When the going gets rough, take it on the chin with the rest of us, the way Jesus did. A soldier on duty doesn’t get caught up in making deals at the marketplace. He concentrates on carrying out orders. An athlete who refuses to play by the rules will never get anywhere. It’s the diligent farmer who gets the produce. Think it over. God will make it all plain.
8-13 Fix this picture firmly in your mind: Jesus, descended from the line of David, raised from the dead. It’s what you’ve heard from me all along. It’s what I’m sitting in jail for right now—but God’s Word isn’t in jail! That’s why I stick it out here—so that everyone God calls will get in on the salvation of Christ in all its glory. This is a sure thing:
If we die with him, we’ll live with him; If we stick it out with him, we’ll rule with him; If we turn our backs on him, he’ll turn his back on us; If we give up on him, he does not give up — for there’s no way he can be false to himself.
Be blessed, family. Go in peace and joy while serving the Lord.
When you think of love what comes to mind? Roses, chocolate, music or traveling to romantic destinations like Paris or Italy? Those are all wonderful gestures of love, but what is biblical agape love?
The Message (MSG)
16-18 “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.
I love you with the everlasting and unending love of God.
