Good morning, Saints:
I greet you with the abundant and overwhelming love of God. This weekend, a very special friend of mine gave birth to a perfectly beautiful lititle baby girl.
I had the pleasure of watching my friend, as she walked on her pregnancy journey. I have talked to so many mommies to be and their fears have been very similar, “Will I be a good mother?” or “How will I know what to do?”
Even though I personally have never birthed a child myself, I still know and understand that if God trusts us enough with one of His gifts then he also equips us with tools for the journey, in taking care of the gift.
This morning, I saw a picture of my friend holding her newborn daughter and the picture said so much. Every initial fear she had was gone. All that the image of her and two day old baby said is, “It is well with my soul.”
I encourage everyone, reading this devotional this morning, to take heart and have peace in knowing that the God that dwells so very richly in your hearts and mind has already equipped you for the journey ahead.
Your journey may not be the birth of a new baby. Your journey may be the changing of jobs, or graduation from school. It may also be the changing of seasons of your life. Whatever change that comes, just know that you are not walking alone.
Allow today’s worship video below to be your soul’s lullaby. Relax in God and let His peace wash over you. Say to yourself, in faith, “It is well with my soul.”
