A New Day is Dawning…

Hebrews 4:14-16

Living Bible (TLB)

14 But Jesus the Son of God is our great High Priest who has gone to heaven itself to help us; therefore let us never stop trusting him. 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses since he had the same temptations we do, though he never once gave way to them and sinned. 16 So let us come boldly to the very throne of God and stay there to receive his mercy and to find grace to help us in our times of need.

Good morning to All. I hope this Monday morning finds you blessed and ready to take on the day. We like to start each Monday with a prayer. Let us go to the Throne Room together.

Father God, Living Trinity:

We come to you this morning, thanking and praising you, for allowing us one more chance to tell the world of Your goodness. We place our lives on your alter and in your hands. We trust your will and your Word for our lives.

There are many students starting school this week. Father, protect and watch over our children. We know that the enemy will try very hard to derail our children from their destiny, but right now, God, we plead the powerful blood of Your son, Jesus, to protect and cover them.

Father, dispatch your angels to fight in the unseen realm on their behalf. Surround our children, whether they are going to Pre-K or to college, with people that have a heart for you.

We thank you Lord for your faithfulness toward us. Use us today for your glory. Let our spirit be keenly sensitive to your voice. May we willingly say, “Yes” to whatever you have called us to do or say.

We seal this prayer and send it to our Chief Intercessor, Jesus, the Christ. Amen, Amen and Amen.

Have a great day, Everybody.

This IS the Day…

We have come to the last post for the week, so you know what that means!!! That’s right, on Friday’s we give God high and energetic Praises!!!

The Book of Psalms is filled with songs to God. One of my favorite passages is Psalm 118:24, which proclaims, “This is the day the Lord has made. Let us be GLAD and REJOICE in it.”

Psalm 118:14-24

Living Bible (TLB)

14 He is my strength and song in the heat of battle, and now he has given me the victory. 15-16 Songs of joy at the news of our rescue are sung in the homes of the godly. The strong arm of the Lord has done glorious things! 17 I shall not die but live to tell of all his deeds. 18 The Lord has punished me but not handed me over to death.

19 Open the gates of the Temple[a]—I will go in and give him my thanks. 20 Those gates are the way into the presence of the Lord, and the godly enter there. 21 O Lord, thank you so much for answering my prayer and saving me.

22 The stone rejected by the builders has now become the capstone of the arch![b] 23 This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous to see!

24 This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Ok, it’s time to move the furniture out of the way. If the kids are up, call them into the room. We are going to join Fred Hammond today, as we give PRAISES to God. Today’s worship song is entitled, “This is the Day.”

Be blessed today and know that I love you ALL with an AMAZING LOVE. Ok, let’s praise God!!!!

We Have the Victory….

2 Corinthians 4:8-10

New International Version (NIV)

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

1 Corinthians 15:57

New International Version (NIV)

57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Saints of God, I know that many of you have faced battles in your life, but you stood on God’s word and on His promises and WON THE VICTORY.

Praise be to The God who causes us to triumph!!!!

Never forget the victories and answered prayers. They will strengthen your faith and allow you to testify of the goodness of our Lord and Savior, Jesus, the Christ.

Be blessed and know that I am standing with you, on the path, as we walk this journey together.

Please enjoy the worship video for today entitled, “Trading My Sorrows” performed by Third Day.

Exodus 14:13-14

Yesterday, our devotion was about preparing for battle. Today is about knowing when to stand still and send in the Calvary.

When the enemy is surrounding you on every side there is a moment in your spirit that you will hear the Lord say, “Be Still, I’ve got this.”

Our scripture below is what God said to Moses as they were preparing to flee Egypt.

Exodus 14:13-14

New International Version (NIV)

13 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Put on Your Armor!!!

Ephesians 6:10-18

New International Version (NIV)

The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

As believers, I know some days it may feel like you are being attacked on every side. The reason you feel that way is because YOU ARE!!!

But ALL PRAISES be to the God of our strength. God has given us tools to protect ourselves with, in times of battle.

What is our protection? The Armor of God. Saints of God, please don’t think that you can fight this battle alone. Prepare yourself for the battle.

Even in 2017 we still have natural wars raging. I’m sure that you know at least one person who is serving or who had served in the military. How do you think they dressed when they were heading out for battle. I’m almost sure they didn’t wear flip-flops, shorts and T-shirt.

How much more should we have on our spiritual armour, as we fight against an enemy that we can’t see. The battle is real and we have ALL been called to ACTIVE SPIRITUAL DUTY.

Enjoy today’s worship video, as you are getting your armor on this morning. The song is performed by Lyle Lovett entitled, “Im a Soldier in the Army of the Lord.”

The Joy of the Lord is Your Strength…

Morning Prayer:

Father God, I greet you this  morning with love and thanksgiving. Thank you for every hour today that we have the opportunity to listen and obey. Walk with us today, as we walk close to you. Thank you for guarding our mouth gate, our ear gate and our eye gate. Please allow us to be a light to all we meet. In the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

The prayer said this morning will set the tone for our day today. The Holy Spirit may lead us to do something that our mind or ego may not like, but as followers of Christ we are His instruments. Just as Nehemiah told the people of Israel, in verses 10 of Nehemiah, not to be sad when they heard the Lord’s instruction on how to live holy, so should we not be sad when we read what the bible says on how we should live today. The Bible was not written and inspired to make us feel like we are missing out on life, it was meant to bring us long life and joy.

Nehemiah 8: 5-10

New International Version (NIV)

Ezra opened the book. All the people could see him because he was standing above them; and as he opened it, the people all stood up. Ezra praised the Lord, the great God; and all the people lifted their hands and responded, “Amen! Amen!” Then they bowed down and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground.

The Levites—Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan and Pelaiah—instructed the people in the Law while the people were standing there. They read from the Book of the Law of God, making it clear  and giving the meaning so that the people understood what was being read.

Then Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and teacher of the Law, and the Levites who were instructing the people said to them all, “This day is holy to the Lord your God. Do not mourn or weep.” For all the people had been weeping as they listened to the words of the Law.

10 Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of theLord is your strength.”

The Master’s Calling

There is a song by Debroah Joy Winans entitled, “The Master’s Calling.” Every time I hear it my heart flutters because the song speaks to my biggest fear, as a worshipper, which is not being able to hear God’s voice.

The most precious part of my life is my relationship with God, followed by my relationship with my husband.

Being able to hear the voice of God, through the Holy Spirit, is immeasurable. Nothing can replace my relationship with God. Being able to be close to God, every day, is as important as the air I breathe.

If you are desiring a more intimate relationship with God, ask Him to speak to your heart. Ask God to show you how to come closer to Him. Very soon, after you invite God into your heart, you will begin to get nudges in your spirit. When that happens just listen quietly.

As a Christian, the very best way to get know God is through His Word. A few moments before you begin to read the bible, ask God to speak to your heart and teach you and give you understanding, through the Holy Spirit. I promise, as you read you will gain supernatural understanding.

Guard your heart from things or people that may want to pull you away from your relationship with God. What is their motive and why does the way you live your life make them want to change you?

If there is anything I can do to help you in your spiritual journey, please let me know. I would be honored to walk with you on the path.

Please enjoy the worship video for today by Debroah Joy Winans.

Peacemakers and Peacebreakers

There are many examples in the bible of when Jesus brought peace to a situation. Whether it was a woman being accused of adultery or whether he was bringing peace to the storm, Jesus was a peacemaker.

In his sermon on the mount, Jesus tells us and shows us how to live a blessed and peaceful life.

Matthew 5

New International Version (NIV)

Introduction to the Sermon on the Mount

Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them.

The Beatitudes

He said:

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
    for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
    for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

The Lord’s Prayer

79c836dc6cc378907abe7293c3e300f6--country-living-country-life

When I have my morning devotion with God, I always start with the Lord’s Prayer. The reason I start with the Lord’s Prayer is because it sets the tone and the atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to speak to my heart clearly.

I recommend reading the 6th chapter of Matthew in its entirety. The Lord’s Prayer can be found in verses 9-13.

This is how I dissect, and make personal, the prayer that Jesus told us to pray.

Our Father, who are in heaven, hallowed (and holy) is your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth (and in my life) as it is in heaven. (Father allow my life to come into alignment with your Word as you have decreed and declared it in heaven).

Give us, this day, our daily bread (Father, I know that everything I need today, You have already provided. I know that at your table is the fullness of Joy, Peace, Prosperity, Safety, and Wholeness).

Forgive us, as we forgive those who have sinned against us (in thought, word and deed).

Lead us not into temptation, but deliever us from evil (Father, deliver me from ANYTHING that would take me away from your presence. Protect me from all of the enemy’s plans, schemes, and hidden agendas against me and my family. Help me to see anything that may cause me to stumble).

For Your’s (Alone God) is the Kingdom, The Power, and the Glory, Amen.

Why I Bowed…

The act of bowing is a sign of respect. For me, as a Christian, I bow when I am in deep prayer and worship to God.

Why do I bow? It tells my circumstances, my mind and body that there is One who is Greater than I. Bowing tells my situations that the God of the Universe is the head of my life. Bowing also tells my heart not to worry or fear, because I have just placed it ALL on the altar of God.

Psalm 95:1-6

Amplified Bible (AMP)

Praise to the Lord, and Warning against Unbelief.

 O come, let us sing joyfully to the Lord;
Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.

Let us come before His presence with a song of thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with songs.

For the Lord is a great God
And a great King above all gods,

In whose hand are the depths of the earth;
The peaks of the mountains are His also.

The sea is His, for He made it [by His command];
And His hands formed the dry land.

O come, let us worship and bow down,
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker [in reverent praise and prayer].

When is the last time you bowed in submission to God. What is keeping you from giving all your cares to the One who cares the most for you?

I pray that you enjoy the Worship video today. It is a beautiful song from Michael English entitled, “I Bowed on My Knees and Cried Holy.
