Day 8 of 365: Showing Up

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Today is a day that I am in bed early because my body is in so much pain. However, one thing I did today was show up. I may not have shown up at 100%, but I pressed and did what God gave me the strength to do. We have to remember that our walk is not always about us. You would be surprised by how many people need your light, presence, and energy. One of the things I always say is, “Showing up is half the battle.”

Scripture of the Day

Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV):

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, we humbly ask you to remind us daily of the work that is still ahead of us. Give us strength and joy to walk out the high calling that is set before us. Help us not to grow weary in well doing. The reward is knowing that we pleased you. It is the name of Jesus that we pray.

And we let it be…And so it

Amen, Amen, and Amen

Day 7 of 365: Pace Yourself

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Another evening has come, and my day is finally quiet enough for me to really listen. One of the things we must remember is that the journey on our respective paths is not a race. Please allow each step to be purposeful and meaningful. Make room for the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you. Study the sacred Scriptures so that when you need it the most, it can come back to your remembrance.

Scripture of the Day

Hebrews 12:1-2
New International Version

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, we bless your name, Lord God. We turn to you as our strength. Walk with us and guide us by your Precious Spirit. In times of need, help us remember the scripture we have studied when we need them the most, as you promised in your word. Cover and protect us from anything that could separate us from you. In the matchless and blameless name of your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.

And we let it be…And so it is..

Amen, Amen, and Amen

Day 6 of 365: The Breath

Greetings Family,

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

We have almost come to the first seven days of the new year. If I can remind all of us of just one thing to do every day, it would be to take a long breath and breathe slowly. Don’t think about anything else but your breathing. Fill your lungs filling up with healing air, and as you exhale, know that the Creator of all things is living in you.

Scripture Passage for Today

Acts 17:28
New International Version

28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’[a] As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’[b]

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, remind us in the tender moments to sit with you and just be still. When we begin to panic, remind us that you are our peace. When fear and sorrow try to overtake us, remind us that you are our Protection and Shield. Veil us in the safety of your arms. In Jesus name we pray and lift this pray to you.

And we let it be… And so it is…

Amen, Amen, and Amen.

Day 5 of 365: The Processing

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

As my day comes to a close and I think about our 365-day devotional journey together, we have to consider several factors coming ahead.

First, we have to know that as we walk this journey and go deeper and deeper into our divine nature, there will be a processing  that will not allow us to stay the same. Be prepared for change. We can not go higher and stay in the same place at the same time. You will have to decide which path you are going to take. Both paths will cost something.

Scripture Passage for the Day

Proverbs 3:5-6
New International Version

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, we know in this season of our spiritual journey that you are a consuming fire burning out everything that is not like you. We climb on the altar willingly and say, “Have your way, Lord.”

In the precious and perfect name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. And we let it be.. and so it is.

Amen, Amen and Amen

He Is Our Comfort

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you always.

As we continue our series on salvation, holiness, and sanctification, I want to remind us that our greatest and most precious gift that we are given, after salvation, is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus promised that after he ascended into heaven that he would send the Comforter to walk with us and remind us of what Jesus taught and would bring back to remembrance the Holy Scriptures.

The Holy Spirit of God is our greatest gift, as it leads us to walk in the Holy Path. When we hear the still small voice inside of us, we can be assured that God is keeping His promise to us.

May you walk closely and tenderly with God each and every day of your life. Ask the Holy Spirit of God for direction and counsel in every area of your life. He is faithful to keep his promises.

Holy Scriptures

John 14:23-29

Tree of Life Version

23 Yeshua answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words. And the word you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me. 25 These things I have spoken to you while dwelling with you. 26 But the Helper, the Ruach ha-Kodesh whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you everything and remind you of everything that I said to you.

27 Shalom I leave you, My shalom I give to you; but not as the world gives! Do not let your heart be troubled or afraid. 28 You’ve heard Me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I. 29 I have told you now before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe!
