Day 39 of 365: Broken…Gracefully…

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, in talking to God, we have to sometimes be careful what we ask for because God knows what we need even before we ask. If God knows that there are parts of us that need to be broken away, if we are in tune with God’s voice, we have a way of praying for God’s will to be done.

If our heart’s desire is to be more like our Wayshower Jesus, then we have to have the posture of being crucified from anything that would separate us from God. Once we say, “God have your way,” then that is when God starts chipping away.

Scripture Passage of the Day

Luke 9:23
English Standard Version
Take Up Your Cross and Follow Jesus
23 And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, thank you for making us more like Jesus every day. May we always have the posture of worship in our hearts and minds. Continue to drawer us closer to you so that God will get the glory from our lives. In Jesus’ name, we pray.

And we let it be…And so it is…

Amen, Amen, and Amen

Day 38 of 365: Not Ashamed!!

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, one of the greatest joys I have is crossing paths with a person that I do not know and then we both feel something as we either look at each other, or pass by each other (what I call my spidy senses). In that moment, I can tell that we both love the Lord. It is always confirmed by a word, phrase, handshake, or hug 🤝.

I have never been ashamed of my faith, and I never will be. Jesus has been so good to me, and there are not enough days in the year for me to tell everyone about God’s goodness and grace in my life.

Scripture Passage of the Day

Romans 1:16-17
New International Version

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,[a] just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”[b]

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, thank you for dwelling with those who believe so that we will always know that we are never alone. Even if we don’t speak the language, we can always tell when we cross paths with another believer. May we never be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for in it there we will find liberty. In Jesus’ name, we pray.

And we let it be…And so it is…

Amen, Amen, and Amen

Day 37 of 365: Obedience vs. Sacrifice

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, I had so many good intentions in 2025. God and I had several conversations where I was given clear instructions on what to do. Unfortunately, I was not as successful in doing everything that God asked me to do. Has that ever happened to you? You intended to do so many things, but something else took its place.

Well, there are consequences and outcomes to every choice we make. Around the fall of last year, I kept asking myself why I was struggling so hard in different areas. The Holy Spirit reminded me of the things God asked me to do. I realized that if I had simply done those things when God asked me to that I would not be struggling as much. So when the Lord told me in October of last year to write a devotional message every day, this year, I immediately said YES!

Family, I have testimony after testimony of all of the blessings, favor, and open doors that have happened just because I chose to obey.

Scripture Passage of the Day

1 Samuel 15:22
New International Version

22 But Samuel replied:

“Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices
as much as in obeying the Lord?
To obey is better than sacrifice,
and to heed is better than the fat of rams.

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, thank you for continuing to dwell with us daily. Thank you for bringing the Word of God alive so that we know how to apply God’s word in 2026. Thank you for showing and teaching me that no matter what year or time period it is, obedience is still better than sacrifice in the Lord’s eyes. May we continue to hunger and thirst for more of you, Lord. In the name of Jesus, we do pray.

And we let it be…And so it is..

Amen, Amen, and Amen

Day 36 of 365: Consistency Matters

Greetings, Precious Friends;

May the Peace of the Lord be with you

Family, to some people, the word “consistency” is a pretty tough word. Consistency means doing what you say you are going to do. It means being accountable and trustworthy.

Family, has there been a time when someone has let you down and did not keep a promise? How did it make you feel? Was it hard to trust the person or persons the next time a promise was made?

Do you know who is the best promise keeper? Yep, Jesus. Jesus made a promise never to leave us or forsake us. Even when Jesus had to leave this earthly realm, he made another promise to send the Comforter or Advocate in his place. Let’s see what the Bible says about it.

Scripture Passage of the Day

John 16:7-15
New International Version
7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8 When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 about sin, because people do not believe in me; 10 about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11 and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

12 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, thank you for continually being a Comforter and an Advocate. You have been so faith in keeping the promise Jesus made so many years ago. May we always be sensitive to your voice and whispers, as you lead us in the way of truth through Jesus Christ. It is in Jesus name that we lift this prayer.

And we let it be…And so it is

In the name of God, The Father; God, The Son; and God, The Holy Spirit.

Amen, Amen, and Amen

Day 35 of 365: Peace

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family,

One of the things I treasure more than anything is God’s Peace. The peace of the Lord leads and guides me in everything I do.  It is the Lord’s Peace that gives me comfort no matter what battle I may be facing. How does God’s peace show up in your life?

Scripture Passage of the Day

John 14:27
New International Version

27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, thank you for always dwelling with us. Thank you for your peace that passes all understanding. Your peace is as important as the air I breathe. May we always be able to rest and abide continually in your peace.

And we let it be…And so it is…

Day 34 of 365: Your Presence…

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, I was thinking about how blessed we are to be able to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

I think about Mary, who washed Jesus’ feet with her hair. She truly understood the beauty of having a relationship with Jesus.

I also think about the woman with the issue of blood, who pressed her way through the crowd just to touch the hem of his garment.

Those women just wanted to be where Jesus was in that moment because they understood the magnitude of who Jesus was and who Jesus is eternally.

Scripture Passage of the Day

Jeremiah 29:11-13
New International Version

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, may we never tire of seeking your presence, Lord. We just want to be where you are. Use our lives for your glory. May we always have the desire to run after you and worship you with all we are and with all you have blessed us with, Lord. Is there anything blocking us from worshipping you with ALL of our being? Show us, Lord?

And we let it be…And so it is

Amen, Amen, and Amen

Day 33 of 365: Are You Approved?

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, I was thinking about what it means to be approved. My husband and I are in the process of deciding if we are going to build our next house. When thinking about a large purchase like a home, there are typically several qualifications that have to be met in order for one to be approved and move forward with the process.

Thinking of approvals and qualifications made me think of the second letter written to Timothy in the New Testament:

Scripture Passage of the Day

2 Timothy 2:15
New International Version

15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, thank you for all the ways you lead and guide us every day. Thank you for instilling in us the desire to show ourselves approved so that when it’s time for us to step forward, we will be ready to give an account and stand approved by God, through the finished work of the cross and perfecting of our faith.

And we let it be…And so it is…

Amen, Amen, and Amen

Day 32 of 365: Crucified, I’m Yours!!!

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, with today being February 1st, I know that St. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. St. Valentine believed in love and believed in marriage so much so that he was willing to give his very life for what he believed. Love is the greatest force in the universe.

Scripture Passage of the Day

Romans 8:38-39
New International Version

38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, thank you for reminding us over and over again how much You love us. Nothing will ever be able to separate us from God’s love. May our hearts always choose love above all else.

And we let it be…And so it is

Amen, Amen, and Amen

Day 31 of 365: Get In Position

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, in almost every sport I have seen played or played myself, there is always a particular position to get in depending on what game is being played.

If you are on a team of players, then there could be several different people playing at different positions. Most teams have a least one coach and almost all teams have a play book that players must practice and learn, so that when they are playing a real game the coach will yell a play and players will run and execute that play.

The players know the coach’s voice so well that even though there may be hundreds or even thousands of people there at the game, the players can pick out the coach’s voice because they are so familiar with hearing it.

This is why it is so important to spend intimate time with God every single day. You need to be able to hear the Holy Spirit’s voice so well that you can tell Its voice from any other. We also need to know God’s Word so well that at a moments notice, we can recall a certain scripture passage in times of need.

Scripture Passage of the Day

John 10:27-30
New King James Version

27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and My Father are one.”

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, you are such an amazing Comforter. Thank you for dwelling inside of us and taking residence in the seat of our soul. May we always hear your voice, as we are your sheep. Teach us to fall in love with the Word of God so that we can save it in our hearts and minds. May we forever be hungry for more of you. In Jesus’ name.

And we let it be…And so it is…

Amen, Amen, and Amen.

Day 30 of 365: The Blessing

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, one of my favorite scripture passages comes from the Apostle John. In it, he addresses a letter to Gaius, who was a leader in the early Christian church. The blessing that John gives to him is such a beautiful blessing in its totality. My prayer is the same for you all.

Scripture Passage of the Day

3 John
New King James Version
Greeting to Gaius

1 The Elder,

To the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth:

2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in [a]truth.

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, thank you for wanting the very best for us, which is to be in good health in mind, body, soul, and spirit.  Our physical health is important, as is our spiritual health. Physically, if we have things in our health that we can correct and prevent, it is best to make changes and be disciplined enough to correct the problem. Jesus, please help me to be as concerned for physical health as I am for spiritual health. I want to serve you with all of me.

And we let it be…And so it is..

Amen, Amen, and Amen
