Keys or A Cage?

Good morning, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you always. The Peace of the Lord that gently abides with you no matter the circumstances. The Peace of the Lord that lets your heart know that God has already made a way. All we have to do is trust, obey, and believe.

This week, the Holy Spirit spoke to me in the most profound way, as I was listening to someone talk about the mind. As I was listening, the Holy Spirit very gently said, “The Mind can be your cage or your keys.”

Immediately, I thought about all the passages in the Bible that spoke about the mind. Specifically, the scripture passages that were teaching us how to think like Christ and why it is so important to have the right mindset!

In a nutshell, how we think is what we create. We were created in the likeness and image of God. The same God who created the world by speaking into the atmosphere is  the SAME GOD who we are made in the likeness and character of.

Our WORDS and THOUGHTS can create greatness or destroy worlds. Our WORDS and how we THINK can liberate us to see so many amazing things, or it can trap us in a cage. We must train our minds on how to think. We must be open to what the Holy Spitit is saying and allow our thoughts to be transformed.

The battlefield of our soul starts in our Mind!

  • Colossians 3:2:“Set your mind on things that are above, not on things that are on earth”.

Be Holy…

Greetings, Precious Family:

As always, I pray that today’s letter finds you abiding in the Peace of the Lord. We shall be stable in all we do if our heart, mind, and spirit are grounded in God’s Peace.

This past week, there has been a common theme that has crossed my path for several days. The message that has repeatedly resounded is God’s Holiness. God is forever holy, and because God is Holy, holiness should be our desire as well, since we are made in God’s image and likeness.

Family, I know some days and seasons are harder than others, but I promise, if you stand firm in your faith and keep your eyes on God, you will get through it victoriously. Remember, also, to call upon the mature saints of God to ask for prayer and guidance. I promise, they are wonderful treasures that can tell you FIRST HAND about God’s faithfulness.

May today’s letter, scripture reading, and music video be an encouragement to you. May they all come back to your remembrance when you need them the most.

Pulling Teeth…

Good morning, Family of God:

I pray all is well and you are in a mindset of peace and joy in Christ Jesus. For the last few months, God has been calling me to fast and be in prayer regarding breaking a major stronghold in my life that began in my childhood. Praise God, now that the this particular fast is over, I can give a praise report.

Sometimes, our past mistakes, hurts, wounds, and scars can haunt and even torment us. The enemy has a way of up bringing painful thoughts and memories in order to distract us from our purpose and to take our eyes off of God.

Remember, the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy by any means necessary. The enemy doesn’t have to kill you to get you off track. He just has to distract you/us from our purpose.

There comes a time when we have to take a stand and take our power back. We must fight for peace and wellness in our mind, body, and spirit. Two powerful tools that Jesus told in his Word have to be used to break strongholds. Prayer and fasting are the combination punches that we can use as our special weapons in the ring.

There will come a time when you will get tired of the enemy winning. There will come a time when you stop running and turn around to face the enemy. We don’t face the enemy in our own power. We come packing with weapons and tools that put the enemy in a headlock, and we start pulling teeth out of the enemy’s mouth, so that what is left is a toothless liar.

Fasting and prayer reminds us to refocus our attention back on God. Fasting and prayer looks past our problem and allows us to see that there is peace and strength on the other side.

A man came and knelt before Jesus and said, 15 “Sir, have mercy on my son, for he is mentally deranged and in great trouble, for he often falls into the fire or into the water; 16 so I brought him to your disciples, but they couldn’t cure him.”

17 Jesus replied, “Oh, you stubborn, faithless people! How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to me.” 18 Then Jesus rebuked the demon in the boy and it left him, and from that moment the boy was well.

19 Afterwards the disciples asked Jesus privately, “Why couldn’t we cast that demon out?”

20 “Because of your little faith,” Jesus told them. “For if you had faith even as small as a tiny mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move!’ and it would go far away. Nothing would be impossible. 21 But this kind of demon won’t leave unless you have prayed and gone without food.”

Family, REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE!!! Take your power and authority in Christ Jesus and use them to defeat the enemy. The enemy knows what tricks to use on us because they have always worked in the past. Laugh in the face of your trials and begin using what God gave you, which is the Word of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. You ALREADY HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED, NOW GET UP AND FIGHT!!!

As a result of my fasting and prayer, I offered forgiveness, grace, mercy, and all-around love and blessing to those that may have caused me harm. In the very moment that I did, I was delivered from my stronghold. In the very instant that it happened, I felt a release. Hallelujah!!

Family, I pray that you walk boldly in your birthright, as a Child of God. I love you with the amazing and everlasting love of Christ Jesus, our Lord, Savior, and Redeemer.
