Day 27 of 365: Midlife Stockman

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Yes, I know today’s title is somewhat odd, but it will make sense in just a few more minutes.

Sean Stockman is a regular guy who was facing midlife stagnation and decided one day to do something different. He began a YouTube channel that focuses on restoring dignity and creating positive change in Detroit neighborhoods.

What he has done has not only changed his life but hundreds of people in Detroit and millions of subscribers around the world. Sean is a Christian and is literally being a light to so many who may have lost hope. What if he was the only encounter people had with Jesus? He wasn’t knocking on doors telling people about Jesus. He became the hands and feet of Jesus. He saw a need and stepped into action. What an amazing story. How can God use your gifts and talents to bring hope and joy to the world?

Scripture Passage of the Day

Colossians 3:23-24
New International Version

23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Let Us Pray

Spirit of the Living God, thank you for allowing me to be used by you. Please show me daily how I can be of service to you and the Kingdom. It is for your glory, Lord.

And we let it be…And so it is

Amen, Amen, and Amen
