Greetings, Precious Family:
May the Peace of the Lord be with you.
Family, today we reflect on the hands of Jesus through the story of the leper.
In Gospel of Mark 1:40–45, a man with leprosy came to Jesus, desperate and humbled. He fell on his knees and said, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.”
Leprosy was not just a disease—it was isolation. Rejection. Separation. This man had likely gone years without being touched. No embrace. No handshake. No comfort. He was considered unclean, unworthy, and untouchable.
But Jesus.
Scripture says Jesus was moved with compassion. And then He did something radical. He reached out His hand and touched him. Before the healing came, the touch came. Jesus could have spoken the word from a distance. He had that power. But instead, His holy hands reached into the man’s brokenness.
The hands of Jesus were not afraid of what others avoided. They were not concerned with public opinion. They were driven by compassion. And immediately, the leprosy left him.
Family, this is who our Savior is. His hands still reach. They still restore. They still make clean what the world has written off.
Maybe today we feel like that leper—isolated, ashamed, or carrying something that makes us feel unworthy.
Hear this: Jesus is willing. His hands are not withdrawn from you. And as followers of Christ, we must ask ourselves—do our hands reflect His? Do we withdraw from the hurting, or do we reach toward them?
Are our hands quick to judge, or quick to restore?
May we have hands full of compassion.
Hands that pray.
Hands that give.
Hands that lift the forgotten.
Because when our hands move with His heart, healing flows. Lord, thank You for hands that were willing to touch what others rejected. Teach us to love the same way.

New International Version
Jesus Heals a Man With Leprosy
40 A man with leprosy[a] came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.”
41 Jesus was indignant.[b] He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” 42 Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.
43 Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning: 44 “See that you don’t tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.” 45 Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.
Let Us Pray
Lord, thank You for placing within me a deep desire to be like You in every way. Continue to teach me the innermost parts of Your heart. Shape my thoughts, refine my motives, and align my will with Yours. You my hands for your glory.
May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing and acceptable in Your sight as I lift this prayer to You.
Lord, in Your mercy, hear my prayer.
And I let it be…And so it is…
Amen, Amen, and Amen
