Good morning, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you always. The Peace of the Lord that gently abides with you no matter the circumstances. The Peace of the Lord that lets your heart know that God has already made a way. All we have to do is trust, obey, and believe.

This week, the Holy Spirit spoke to me in the most profound way, as I was listening to someone talk about the mind. As I was listening, the Holy Spirit very gently said, “The Mind can be your cage or your keys.”

Immediately, I thought about all the passages in the Bible that spoke about the mind. Specifically, the scripture passages that were teaching us how to think like Christ and why it is so important to have the right mindset!

In a nutshell, how we think is what we create. We were created in the likeness and image of God. The same God who created the world by speaking into the atmosphere is  the SAME GOD who we are made in the likeness and character of.

Our WORDS and THOUGHTS can create greatness or destroy worlds. Our WORDS and how we THINK can liberate us to see so many amazing things, or it can trap us in a cage. We must train our minds on how to think. We must be open to what the Holy Spitit is saying and allow our thoughts to be transformed.

The battlefield of our soul starts in our Mind!

This Week’s Scripture Readings

  • Philippians 2:5-8:“Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, being born in human likeness”. 
  • Romans 12:2:“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect”. 
  • Philippians 4:8:“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things”. 
  • Colossians 3:2:“Set your mind on things that are above, not on things that are on earth”.
