To God Be The Glory…

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Perfect Peace of the Lord rest, rule, and abide with you always.

I don’t know if I have ever told you all about how and when I am inspired to write a devotional for the week. Some weeks, the inspiration will come because the Holy Spirit puts a certain song on my heart, and other times, it will come because there is a Word that the Lord needs the Kingdom to hear.

Today, the devotional is inspired by a song the Holy Spirit put on my heart. The song ‘To God Be The Glory’. The version of the song is sung by Natalie Grant and Cece Winans. The song stops me in my tracks, and an automatic but spontaneous praise flows from my heart.

Question, Family. When do you hear the Holy Spirit the clearest? Where is your favorite place to spend time with God?

Tree of Life Version

16 Rejoice always,17 pray constantly,
18 in everything give thanks;
for this is God’s will for you in Messiah Yeshua.

Note:

Many people have not heard of the Tree of Life version of the Bible. This is one of my favorite translations because it was written in collaboration with Messianic Jewish and Christian Scholars.

The TLV is a new Bible translation, produced by Messianic Jewish and Christian scholars, which highlights the rich Hebrew roots of the Christian faith by restoring:

Song of Worship and Praise

Family, no matter what is going on around us, or even to us, there is always time to give thanks to the Lord for the things he has done.

I pray that today’s worship song blesses you. I love you all with the amazing and everlasting love of our Lord and Redeemer, Jesus, The Christ.

Thinking Things Over…

Good morning, Precious Family:

Thank you all for your kind words as I took a much needed hiatus. Life is still super busy, but it is manageable, as I have had to learn a new faster past.

This morning, I woke up with the song, “I’ve Got a Testimony.” Part of the song says,”When I look  back over my life and I think things over. I can truly say that I’ve been blessed. I have a testimony.”

Family, with all that I have been through, all the good, bad, and different things in-between, I, too, can truly say that I have been blessed. No matter what the oceans of my life are doing, the presence of God has maintained a constant peace in my heart, mind, and soul.

What is your testimony, family? What has God brought you out of? What can you truly say about the goodness of the Lord?

Holy Scriptures

Acts 22:6-21

Holman Christian Standard Bible

Paul’s Testimony

“As I was traveling and near Damascus, about noon an intense light from heaven suddenly flashed around me. I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’

“I answered, ‘Who are You, Lord?’

He said to me, ‘I am Jesus the Nazarene, the One you are persecuting!’ Now those who were with me saw the light,[a] but they did not hear the voice of the One who was speaking to me.

10 Then I said, ‘What should I do, Lord?’

And the Lord told me, ‘Get up and go into Damascus, and there you will be told about everything that is assigned for you to do.’

11 Since I couldn’t see because of the brightness of that light, I was led by the hand by those who were with me, and came into Damascus. 12 Someone named Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good reputation with all the Jews residing there, 13 came and stood by me and said, ‘Brother Saul, regain your sight.’ And in that very hour I looked up and saw him. 14 Then he said, ‘The God of our fathers has appointed you to know His will, to see the Righteous One, and to hear the sound of His voice.[b] 15 For you will be a witness for Him to all people of what you have seen and heard. 16 And now, why delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins by calling on His name.’

17 After I came back to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple complex, I went into a visionary state 18 and saw Him telling me, ‘Hurry and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not accept your testimony about Me!’

19 But I said, ‘Lord, they know that in synagogue after synagogue I had those who believed in You imprisoned and beaten. 20 And when the blood of Your witness Stephen was being shed, I was standing by and approving,[c] and I guarded the clothes of those who killed him.’

21 Then He said to me, ‘Go, because I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’”
