Family, have you ever started a new routine? Was the routine getting up earlier, starting a new exercise program, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or was it spending more quiet time with God each day?
I have found that as I have been growing in the things of God, my egoic flesh has been having a straight-up tantrum. In my head, I am kicking, screaming, and crying.
My spirit man keeps telling me, “Marcia, don’t give up. You have greatness inside of you. Being uncomfortable is part of the process.”

My heart’s desire, as children of an awesome and incredible God, is that we would learn how to harness the authority that Jesus said we have in him.
First, let’s start with what Jesus said we have. In John 14, Jesus lets us know that whatever he can do, we can also do on an even greater level because he was going to the Father on our behalf. Jesus said that if we ask in faith and pray in his name, He will do the rest.

So, how do we believe on the level of Jesus?
Faith!!!! Faith is a frequency and a vibration.
If we change our speech to, “My faith is on the frequency and vibration of Jesus and heaven!!!
Family, can you imagine how our lives will change if we purposefully decide to raise our energy and vibration so high that we unlock the Kingdom of Heaven??!!
How do we begin the journey of increasing our faith through a higher vibration and frequency? Protect your gates!!!! Ears, Eyes, and Mouth. Surround yourself with the things of God. It matters what we listen to, watch, and read. It matters whose voices we allow around us. It matters how we treat others. It even matters how we care for the world around us. Protect your TEMPLE!!!

Find ways to increase your frequency and vibration. Family, if you notice repeatedly that certain people, places, or things are pulling your vibrations and frequencies down, then you know who and what will need to be gently removed from your life with grace.

I was talking to a friend yesterday about people’s relationship with church and organized religion as a whole.
We both knew several people who wanted a relationship with Jesus but did not want a relationship with the church. I know that church hurt is one of the toughest hurts to heal because it involves the mind, body, soul, and spirit of a person. A lot of layers of healing that must take place…
There are so many people who have lost faith in organized religion. The main reason is that people forget the three most important aspects of Christianity and being followers of Christ.
Our first lesson, as Christians, is to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. The second is to love our neighbor as we would love ourselves. The third and final rule of Christianity is that Jesus said the world would know we are His by our love.
If we can’t get these three aspects of our faith down, we should not worry about any other aspect of “church” life. Churches should not be able to move forward building congregations until these three building blocks are successfully practiced.
We are the Lights of Christ. When people have an encounter with us, they should be having an encounter with Christ. We are the ambassadors for Christ. We are beacons of Jesus’ holy Light.

She reminds us, in this song, that we are all connected to and divine reflections of a beautiful God. When so much of life tries to crowd out our spirit, this song calls us to remember who we are…We are the Lights of God. We carry the Light of God. Remember who you are and SHINE BRIGHT!!!

Once we get back to a place where we make our soul work a priority, so many things will change. What if every spirit journey, across the globe, was about the mastery of Love? How would our world change?
May the Peaceof the Lord be with you always. The Peaceof the Lord that gently abides with you no matter the circumstances. The Peaceof the Lord that lets your heart know that God has already made a way. All we have to do is trust, obey, and believe.
This week, the Holy Spirit spoke to me in the most profound way, as I was listening to someone talk about the mind. As I was listening, the Holy Spirit very gently said, “The Mind can be your cage or your keys.”
Immediately, I thought about all the passages in the Bible that spoke about the mind. Specifically, the scripture passages that were teaching us how to think like Christ and why it is so important to have the right mindset!
In a nutshell, how we think is what we create. We were created in the likeness and image of God. The same God who created the world by speaking into the atmosphere is the SAME GOD who we are made in the likeness and character of.
Our WORDSand THOUGHTS can create greatness or destroy worlds. Our WORDS and how we THINK can liberate us to see so many amazing things, or it can trap us in a cage. We must train our minds on how to think. We must be open to what the Holy Spitit is saying and allow our thoughts to be transformed.
The battlefield of our soul starts in our Mind!

Thank you for the grace you have shown me as I have been away for a moment. Sometimes, family, school, and health require more of me than usual, and I have to give them my full attention. As the young people say, “Life was lifing.” I am grateful that all in my house are now well and in good health.
This week’s devotional is inspired by a song from Annatoria entitled Hark, Now Hear.
The song gives a timeline of the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus. In the church, depending on what time or season of the year it is, we highlight different aspects of Jesus’s earthly ministry. It is easy to remember the beauty of him as a baby or the incredible teacher and healer he was during his earthly ministry. What we must remember above all else is that Jesus came to be a sacrifice.
The climax of Jesus’s earthly ministry occurred while he was hanging on the cross with the FULL WEIGHT of OUR SINS upon him. He cried out:

Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?”, are recorded in Hebrew as “אֵלִי אֵלִי לָמָה עֲזַבְתָּנִי” (Elī Elī, lāmā ‘azabtānī) and mean “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?
In that moment, he was separated from the Father because of our sin. In that moment, the world grew silent…
This is the reason he willingly came down from heaven, took the form of a human, walked the earth teaching, healing, and showing mercy and love. His greatest love letter to us was from the cross.
Oh what a day…on the third day, after he died he got up with ALL POWER IN HIS HANDS.
So when I sing this song by Annatoria, I am remembering and telling the Lord, Thank you for all you have done.

Family, first I want to wish all of the mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day. In my opinion, a mother is a person who is a parent to a human or an animal because family is family.
We have had a historic week this week. For the first time in history, we have a Pope who is from the United States. I can not think of a country that needs more of God than us.
Funny story, when I was younger, I wanted to become a nun. I was too young to realize that I had to be Catholic to be a nun. What I decided to do, instead, was to live my life in a way that is pleasing to God.
To be transparent, there were a few seasons in my life that I was rebellious and hard-headed, but when I truly decided to dedicate my life to God, I never turned back.
As far as I have come, in my life, I know that there is still so much ahead of me to do in the Kingdom of God. I know that God is not done yet. The best is yet to come. I believe God when he shows me glimpses of what is ahead.

Family, the best is yet to come. Stay strong in the Lord. You are never alone.
As we continue our series on salvation, holiness, and sanctification, I want to remind us that our greatest and most precious gift that we are given, after salvation, is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus promised that after he ascended into heaven that he would send the Comforter to walk with us and remind us of what Jesus taught and would bring back to remembrance the Holy Scriptures.
The Holy Spirit of God is our greatest gift, as it leads us to walk in the Holy Path. When we hear the still small voice inside of us, we can be assured that God is keeping His promise to us.
May you walk closely and tenderly with God each and every day of your life. Ask the Holy Spirit of God for direction and counsel in every area of your life. He is faithful to keep his promises.

Family, we spoke last week about salvation, sanctification, working out our salvation, and what it means to strive to be blameless and holy.
Today, I want to talk about another aspect of salvation many people don’t understand. In all honesty, from time to time, I have to be reminded of this topic myself. Here it goes…..
When we are saved, we automatically are connected to a Helper, the Holy Spirit who comes along side us to show us the right way to go. When we follow the urgings and directions of Holy Spirit of God, we know and understand that we are never alone.
Another amazing aspect of being filled with the Holy Spirit of God is that when we are walking in unison with God’s will, we are not operating in our own strength. Our strength comes from the Lord. The only time we don’t feel stronger is when we have stepped outside of the will of God and we are trying to do things on our own.
More than likely, our problems and frustrations are happening because we have NOT asked God what his will was for the situation. The Bible says if we pray, according to the will of the Father, our prayers and questions will be answered.
There is a reason that the Lord’s Prayer says, “Your will be done..on earth as it in heaven.” We must be in synch with the Lord’s will in order for our strength to come. When I was growing up, I would hear the saints say to each other, “I pray your strength in the Lord.” That was a reminder to keep their eyes on God and their will set to his will.

Family, we are never alone on our Christian journey. Never let the enemy have you believe you are all by yourself. That is what the enemy wants you to think!!!! You are NOT ALONE!!!
If God is for you, then who can be against you!!!
On this Holy Week, I pray your continued strength in the Lord. Our strength comes from our Messiah becoming the ultimate perfect sacrifice, even unto death.
BUT ON THIRD DAY, GLORY BE TO GOD, EVERYTHING CHANGED!!!

Family, this morning I woke up singing ‘Like The Dew’ by Dr. Juanita Bynum. I woke knowing that a brand new day had been given to me, and I had to tell the Lord, Thank You. 😊
Even though I was a little bit sluggish this morning, I still know where my strength comes from. I sang this song to the Lord as my morning prayer. I knew through this prayer that God would fill me with what I needed to make it through the day. God’s word and wisdom are food for my soul.

I don’t know if I have ever told you all about how and when I am inspired to write a devotional for the week. Some weeks, the inspiration will come because the Holy Spirit puts a certain song on my heart, and other times, it will come because there is a Word that the Lord needs the Kingdom to hear.
Today, the devotional is inspired by a song the Holy Spirit put on my heart. The song ‘To God Be The Glory’. The version of the song is sung by Natalie Grant and Cece Winans. The song stops me in my tracks, and an automatic but spontaneous praise flows from my heart.
