Good morning, Family:

May the peace and love of God saturate your heart, mind, soul and spirit this morning. You are NEVER alone. God promised to always be with us, if we are His children.

Deuteronomy 31:6

The Message (MSG)

“Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you.”

Go in peace, knowing you are never truly alone.

In His unfailing love,

Good morning, Family:

I greet you, All, with the amazing, unchanging, neverending love of God.

I want to jump right into today’s devotional. Ready??!!

As a bible-based Life Coach, minister, premarital counselor, and fellow child of God, I get asked my advice and recommendations fairly often and on a variety of topics.

People come to me who are embarking on new life journeys and changes. It is so important that I am grounded in the Lord, before I give advice, tools, or recommendations to anyone.

It is imperative that I never counsel anyone from a broken place inside of me. For that reason, I always pray for the person’s highest good, according to God’s will.

Here is the problem, if I dont pray for God’s highest good. The result could be that I project my hurts, fears, and/or past traumatic events onto a person. That is not fair to them, me or God.

I pray that when someone comes to you for advice, or prayer, that you would put yourself aside and allow God to step forward. This action also removes any reason for you to boast or take credit for what God has done through you.

Meditate on today’s devotional and humbly ask God to search your heart. Pray for God’s highest good for YOUR LIFE as well. I can’t wait to get testimonies of how God moved in your life.

John 13:34

English Standard Version (ESV)

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

May the peace of the Lord be with you always. Go and share the Lord’s peace, with everyone you meet.

In His amazing love,

Rev. Marcia Davis

Cleanse Me…

psalm-518

Good morning, Family:

The Holy Spirit put something on my heart this morning. We, as the universal church, can sometimes be quick to pass judgement on a person or situation.

It was impressed on my heart, this morning, to remember that we are all in need of forgiveness, grace and mercy. We all have to cry out for the cleansing blood of Jesus.

Psalm 51:7-15

Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

(5) True, I was born guilty,
was a sinner from the moment my mother conceived me.
(6) Still, you want truth in the inner person;
so make me know wisdom in my inmost heart.

(7) Sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
10 (8) Let me hear the sound of joy and gladness,
so that the bones you crushed can rejoice.
11 (9) Turn away your face from my sins,
and blot out all my crimes.

12 (10) Create in me a clean heart, God;

renew in me a resolute spirit.
13 (11) Don’t thrust me away from your presence,
don’t take your Ruach Kodesh away from me.
14 (12) Restore my joy in your salvation,
and let a willing spirit uphold me.
15 (13) Then I will teach the wicked your ways,
and sinners will return to you.

May the peace of the Lord be with you always.

Our Father…

20191007_093415

Good morning, Blessed Family:

I pray this message finds you in a place of peace, love, hopefulness, and expectancy.

Every day, I look for the manifested signs of God’s amazing glory, grace and love for us. This morning, I woke up saying the Lords prayer over and over.

I invite you this morning to pray with me. I pray according to how I hear the prayer in my heart.

Let Us Pray:

Our Father, who fills heaven with you glory, how holy and beautiful is your name. There is none like you, over the earth, in the earth, or under the earth. You are The Alpha and Omega, The Beginning and The End of everything that is.

May your glorious Kingdom come, Lord God. May your will be done on earth and in our lives, as you have spoken and decreed it in heaven.

Heavenly Father, we know that everything belongs to and comes from you. Give us, today, Lord, our daily manna (bread) from you. Lord, you are the Bread of Life. You are our Sustainer. Feed us, from your table Lord, everything that we will need to do your will today.

Forgive us, Father, if any parts of us sins against you. Help us to show the same forgiveness, grace and mercy to those that sin against us. We know that we are not perfect and we cannot expect anyone else, but you, to be perfect.

Lead us away from temptation, Father. Guide our hands, mouth, eyes, ears, and feet to hear only your voice.   Protect us from the forces that desire to do evil, and from the evil one itself.

Your Kingom, Father, deserves the glory, honor, dominion, majesty and power, forever and ever, Amen and Amen.

Go in peace, while praising and serving the Lord, God Almighty.

May the peace of the Lord be with you always.

What Love…

1280x1280 (2)

Good morning, Family:

When we have a chance to show the love of Christ we live out the Word of God. Today I’m not only going to share a worship video, I’m going to share the video of a young man whose brother was killed. He addressed his brother’s murderer in court.

1 John 3:1-3

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

Think how much the Father loves us. He loves us so much that he lets us be called his children, as we truly are. But since the people of this world did not know who Christ is, they don’t know who we are. My dear friends, we are already God’s children, though what we will be hasn’t yet been seen. But we do know that when Christ returns, we will be like him, because we will see him as he truly is. This hope makes us keep ourselves holy, just as Christ is holy.

Go in peace, family, while serving the Lord. May the peace and love of God be with you always.

Be Glorified In Me…

20191002_070238

Good morning, Family:

I share this scripture with you this morning. Ask the Spirit of the Living God to open your eyes, ears, heart and spirit to allow the revelation of the Word flow over you.

2 Corinthians 4:6-12

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

The Scriptures say, “God commanded light to shine in the dark.” Now God is shining in our hearts to let you know that his glory is seen in Jesus Christ.

We are like clay jars in which this treasure is stored. The real power comes from God and not from us. We often suffer, but we are never crushed. Even when we don’t know what to do, we never give up. In times of trouble, God is with us, and when we are knocked down, we get up again. 10-11 We face death every day because of Jesus. Our bodies show what his death was like, so that his life can also be seen in us. 12 This means that death is working in us, but life is working in you.

Go in peace, while serving and praising the Lord. Allow the Lord to be gloried through your life. It is our reasonable sacrifice.

Terrific Tuesday…

Good morning, Blessed Family:

I greet you with the never-failing love of the Lord. I pray that today you would experience God in a new and exciting way.

I remember a conversation I had with my father, when he was alive. I was talking to him about prayer time and intimate time with Jesus. He said I confused him because he had never heard anyone talk about their relationship with the Lord like I did.

Everyone has a different relationship with the Lord. One is not better than the other. One of my favorite worship songs sums up my closeness. I believe in my heart that once my dad heard this song he understood.

Psalm 42:1-2

Common English Bible (CEB)

BOOK II

(Psalms 42–72)

Psalm 42

For the music leader. A maskil of the Korahites.

42 Just like a deer that craves streams of water,
my whole being craves you, God.
My whole being thirsts for God, for the living God.
When will I come and see God’s face?

Listen to today’s worship video by Jonathan Butler entitled, Falling in Love with Jesus.

May the love of God engulf your entire soul, even unto the uttermost parts that need to be healed and restored.

In His amazing love,

Rev. Marcia Davis

Hobby or Habit?

20190927_073528

Good morning, Beautiful Beams of God’s Light:

Its Friday!! Praise God for another amazing week and almost another amazing month. I truly have no idea where the month of September went so fast. One thing is for certain, God was with us every step of the way.

The world can be challenging some days, but having a daily relationship with the Lord makes all the difference.

Sometimes, people tend to forget about God unless they are facing a crisis. For others, a daily relationship with the Lord is not only necessary, it is essential.

Do you have a favorite hobby? I love nature. In my free time, I love being able to spend time around animals, flowers, and water. It brings me so much joy. I dont make time for it every day, but when I do, I am so happy. Hobbies are for spare time, but I would love to start making it a habit. I want to consciously make it a part of my life.

What is your spiritual relationship with Jesus like? Is it a spare time thing or a habitual daily journey? Do you spend time with God when you have nothing else to do? Is God a hobby or a habit?

2 Peter 1:5-8

Contemporary English Version (CEV)

Do your best to improve your faith. You can do this by adding goodness, understanding, self-control, patience, devotion to God, concern for others, and love. If you keep growing in this way, it will show that what you know about our Lord Jesus Christ has made your lives useful and meaningful.

May the peace of the Lord be with you always.

Insert YOUR Name Here, Come Out!!!

Good morning, Family:

This word that the Holy Spirit put on my heart is strong, this morning. I know that most of you know the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. I need you to pay special attention to what Martha said and what Jesus did, and said, as a reply to her.

This is what God wants the world to HEAR, this morning:

There is nothing that is too big for God. Your past doesn’t scare God. Your addiction doesn’t scare God. Your sin doesn’t scare God. All that he wants is the opportunity to free you from a life of sin, death, and bondage.

When you hear God calling YOU OUT of the things that try to bind you and kill you, be responsive and obedient. Jesus has the power to free you from the thing or things that snare you and have become a stronghold in your life.

Insert your name in the story below.

God is calling you forth to an abundant life. Dont allow anyone to say tell you that your past “stinks,” like Martha told Jesus about Lazarus. When God brings you out, he brings you OUT, with new clothes and new smell. No matter what, you are a NEW CREATION.

Jesus told those that knew Lazarus the closest to unwrap him and let him go. Why did he do that? Jesus could have unwrapped Lazarus himself. Jesus wanted those closest to him to see the transformation for themselves. In other words, dont keep this man bound up. You may not want to forget who the old Lazarus used to be, but I have made him new. Now, “YOU, UPWRAP HIM AND LET HIM GO!!!!”

P. S. Jesus wept, because he was angry that the people didn’t believe he was who he said he was, after all this time. He used Lazarus as proof that he and the Father were ONE.

John 11:39-44

New Living Translation (NLT)

39 “Roll the stone aside,” Jesus told them.

But Martha, the dead man’s sister, protested, “Lord, he has been dead for four days. The smell will be terrible.

40 Jesus responded, Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?” 41 So they rolled the stone aside. Then Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, thank you for hearing me. 42 You always hear me, but I said it out loud for the sake of all these people standing here, so that they will believe you sent me.” 43 Then Jesus shouted, “Lazarus, come out!” 44 And the dead man came out, his hands and feet bound in graveclothes, his face wrapped in a headcloth. Jesus told them, “Unwrap him and let him go!”

I love this song by Jeremy Camp. Every time it comes on the radio, I turn it up as loud as I can. The name of the song is Word of Life, but I call it the Lazarus Song.

May the peace of the Lord be with you always.

Good morning, Family:

What a joy and honor it is to praise the Lord. Next month, Sacred Journey Devotionals will be three years old!!!

Giving glory to God never gets old. I’m so thankful that I get to share the Lord with the world.

New Living Translation (NLT)

Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Have you ever just stood and given the Lord a standing ovation. Right now, I open my mouth and clap my hands.
