What a Mighty God We Serve…

Worship with Scripture

Psalm 66:1-5

New King James Version

Praise to God for His Awesome Works

To the Chief Musician. A Song. A Psalm.

66 Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!
Sing out the honor of His name;
Make His praise glorious.
Say to God,
“How awesome are Your works!
Through the greatness of Your power
Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.
All the earth shall worship You
And sing praises to You;
They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah

Come and see the works of God;
He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men

Heavenly and Precious Jehovah:

Indeed, what a mighty God you are, Lord. We are joyful and humbled that we have the privilege to serve you with our life and through our daily actions. We thank you, Jehovah, The Great I Am, for everything. Through every tear, we thank you. Through every moment of joy, we thank you. Through every unknown moment, we thank you for leading us, as we seek your face for the way we should go. We bless you, Lord Jehovah. We lift these prayers to you. May you receive them through the love of your Son, and our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Keep Pressing…

Worship with Scripture

Philippians 3:12-16

New King James Version

Pressing Toward the Goal

12 Not that I have already attained,[a] or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have [b]apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

15 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. 16 Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already [c]attained, let us walk by the same [d]rule, let us be of the same mind.

Heavenly Father,

We bless you this morning. Thank you for giving us the strength to be on this side of heaven each morning. I know some days I get so tired, but then I open your word and receive encouragement from those you selected to spread your Word. Father we ask for a saturated outpouring of your Holy Spirit to lift us up out of the low places, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer, Amen.

I Wanted You To Know…

I just wanted to say, “Thank You,” for following Sacred Journey Devotionals. I am still amazed that God allows me to be a vessel.

I wanted to let you know of changes that will be coming. Beginning this week, the Devotionals will be posted on Mondays and Fridays.

I would love to hear if they have been a positive spark in your life. I’m assessing if there is still a desire for the  Devotionals each week, based on feedback I receive. I never want to fill emails, text messages or Facebook and Twitter feeds with items that are not wanted. I’m in prayer about how God wants me to go forward, as there is a time and season for everything.

I pray you have a blessed day. May God bless you abundantly beyond anything you could ask or think.
In Jesus name, Amen.

God Will Provide…

Worship with Scripture

Genesis 22:9-14

King James Version

And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.

10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

11 And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.

12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah Jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.

Precious Lord,

We bless you this morning. We thank you for always being a God who hears our cries and our supplications to you. We lift up people all over the world suffering from the effects of the COVID virus. I especially lift up to you the people of India. I can feel their hurt, pain, and sorrow. Father, we cry out on their behalf and ask that you rescue them from their trials. Even though we are of different faiths, you created us all. As a believer in Jesus Christ, I stand in the spiritual gap for my brothers and sisters in India. Clear any unseen forces that may be causing death, destruction and lack and usher in healing and peace, in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord, my Healer, my Comforter and my Redeemer, Amen.

Keeping Hope Alive…

Worship with Scripture

Isaiah 61:1-3

New King James Version

The Good News of Salvation

61 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to [a]heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
To [b]console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

Glorious Lord,

We bless you this morning. Father, so much of our country is in turmoil and unrest. Bring peace and rest to the hearts of your creations. Father God, we ask that you send out your heavenly forces to battle for the heart and soul of human beings. Fortify heaven’s holy army to fight the forces of darkness, strife, and confusion. Let us, your servants, remember that we cannot be silent. We do battle on our knees, in our prayer closets, and in our secret places, as we intercede in prayer to you. Hear our prayer, Lord, and remove the scales the enemy has places over the ears, eyes, and hearts of humans. We lift these prayers to you, in the power and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

When Temptation Comes…

Worship With Testimony

Recently, I was facing a common temptation that has typically won in my life. When this temptation rears its head, I’m usually not strong enough to resist. I felt weak, but at the same time I didn’t want to give in. I was sitting alone and God simply said in my spirit, “Say out loud what is going on.” I felt silly; I felt like I was a kid running to my parents telling them that someone was picking on me, but that is exactly what God wanted me to do and say. I simply said, “Lord, the enemy is trying to get me to do (insert temptation here), but I don’t want to do it. Please help me.” In that every instant, the Holy Spirit lead me to find some worship music on my phone. I started playing it and the atmosphere began to change. It felt so good not to give in. Prayer doesn’t have to be formal or eloquent, it just has to be effective.

Worship With Scripture

James 5:16

King James Version

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Ephesians 6:10-18

GOD’S WORD Translation

Put On All the Armor That God Supplies

10 Finally, receive your power from the Lord and from his mighty strength. 11 Put on all the armor that God supplies. In this way you can take a stand against the devil’s strategies. 12 This is not a wrestling match against a human opponent. We are wrestling with rulers, authorities, the powers who govern this world of darkness, and spiritual forces that control evil in the heavenly world. 13 For this reason, take up all the armor that God supplies. Then you will be able to take a stand during these evil days.[a] Once you have overcome all obstacles, you will be able to stand your ground.

14 So then, take your stand! Fasten truth around your waist like a belt. Put on God’s approval as your breastplate. 15 Put on your shoes so that you are ready to spread the Good News that gives peace. 16 In addition to all these, take the Christian faith as your shield. With it you can put out all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Also take salvation as your helmet and God’s word as the sword that the Spirit supplies.

18 Pray in the Spirit [b] in every situation. Use every kind of prayer and request there is. For the same reason be alert. Use every kind of effort and make every kind of request for all of God’s people.

Precious Lord,

We come to you this morning with thankful and grateful hearts. You didn’t have to wake any of us up this morning, but those who were assigned to wake up, you allowed it to be so. May we use this day to glorify the Kingdom of God. May we use this day to share the love of Christ. May we use this day to speak life and love into each and every sentient being we encounter. Bring peace into our heart, our land, and our government. In the matchless and powerful name of Jesus we do pray, Amen and Amen.

God is Still Able…

Worship With Scripture

Ephesians 3:14-21

New King James Version

Appreciation of the Mystery

14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father [a]of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
