King Jesus!!!

What happens when we call on the name of Jesus?

Acts 3:1-16

New International Version (NIV)

Peter Heals a Lame Beggar

One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon. Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.

Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of  Nazareth, walk.”  Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. When all the people saw him walking and praising God, 10 they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

Peter Speaks to the Onlookers

11 While the man held on to Peter and John, all the people were astonished and came running to them in the place called Solomon’s Colonnade. 12 When Peter saw this, he said to them: “Fellow Israelites, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? 13 The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go. 14 You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you. 15 You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this. 16 By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.

Go in peace, while serving the Lord!!!

Whoever Is Not Against Us Is for Us…

Mark 9:38-41

New International Version (NIV)

Whoever Is Not Against Us Is for Us

38 “Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.”

39 “Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, 40 for whoever is not against us is for us. 41 Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.

One of the things I tell people, who ask for my counseling, is that first of all, I dont have a heaven or a hell to put you in, because that decision belongs to God and God alone. What I can say is that every choice and every decision produces it’s own fruit, whether good or bad. My advice, do what you KNOW is pleasing to God.

The Christian faith has a great deal of what I like to call “departments.” Sometimes those departments or denominations can cause a great deal of confusion. However, as Christians, the one thing we must all remember is that we are representing Christ.

Before the world sees our particular church affiliation, the world must see Christ. Before we ask someone to join our church, offer Christ. Before we ask for any money, offer Christ. Before we ask them to change their clothes, their lifestyle, their language, offer Christ.

Without Christ transforming our hearts and minds, church is just a formality. The church was created to teach, heal, equip and edify. Offer Christ before you offer a label. The God that we serve can do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we can ask or think. Trust God.

I love you with an amazing and everlasting love. Go in peace and serve the Lord.

My Everything…

John 14:15-21

New International Version (NIV)

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

15 “If you love me, keep my commands.16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

I love you with a holy and sanctified love. The love I have for you surpasses a human love. I love you and wish so much for your soul to prosper, in Christ. Not as the world sees prosperity, but as God sees prosperity.

How Majestic is Your Name…

Psalm 8

English Standard Version (ESV)

How Majestic Is Your Name

To the choirmaster: according to The Gittith. A Psalm of David.

Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens.
Out of the mouth of babies and infants,
you have established strength because of your foes,
to still the enemy and the avenger.

When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him?

Yet you have made him a little lower thanthe heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.
You have given him dominion over the works of your hands;
you have put all things under his feet,
all sheep and oxen,
and also the beasts of the field,
the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea,
whatever passes along the paths of the seas.

Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

I love you with a sacred and everlasting love. May the God that we call the Most High God lift your heart and mind to a higher place today. May secrets be revealed to those that chase after God.

Fan or Follower…

2
Good morning, Loved Ones:

Today’s message is important. I dont want anyone to be confused, beguiled or deceived. There is a difference between being a Fan of Jesus Christ and Follower of Jesus Christ.

A fan of Christ appreciates the sayings and teachings of Christ. The fan will not proclaim to be a Christian. The fan will say that Jesus was a prophet and a good man, but nothing more. The fan will sometimes get confused on the difference between being a member of a church and being a Christian.

The criteria to be a demonstrated follower and disciple of Jesus Christ, is met by the scriptures below.

It is my hope and desire that everyone understands. May the Spirit of the Living God illuminate your heart and mind to receive the truth in its fullness.

Luke 9:23

New International Version (NIV)

23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

Romans 10:9-10

New International Version (NIV)

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,”and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

John 3:16

English Standard Version (ESV)

For God So Loved the World

16 “For God so loved the world,  that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Fan to Follower Prayer:

Jesus search my heart, my inner most being. Help me understand the difference between a follower and a fan. Jesus, I believe that you are the only Son of God and you died and rose from the grave for the forgiveness of my sins. I believe you are my Lord, Savoir and Redeemer. I believe, through you, that my soul now saved.  Teach me how to follow you. I know that I am not perfect. Thank you for allowing me one more day to follow you and tell others of YOUR Good News. Amen.

If you just said this prayer, for the first time, I have great news, you are NOW a part of a huge eternal family. Learn, Grow and then Teach

I love you so much. I always want you to know the truth for yourself.

Lord, Prepare Me…

20180412_075316

Good morning, Beautiful Dwelling Places of the Most High God:

Today’s devotional is an extension from yesterday. Yesterday we spoke about living our lives in such a way that the Holy Spirit loves to dwell with us. Today, I would like to talk about how to prepare to be a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit.

In an article entitled, “Nesting During Pregnancy,” the American Pregnancy Board speaks of a term called “nesting” and why pregnant mommies do it. The articles states, “You might wake up one morning feeling energetic and wanting to clean and organize your entire house. This urge to clean and organize is known as nesting. Nesting during pregnancy is the overwhelming desire to get your home ready for your new baby.”

Initially I couldn’t figure out why the Holy Spirit kept putting the word Nesting in my spirit. Then I realized that we, as Christians, are doing the same thing that expectant mothers do. We are preparing our temples, our bodies to be a dwelling place for the Lord.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

English Standard Version (ESV)

19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

Be blessed today. Like an expectant mother, continuously keep your life open and ready for the Holy Spirit to come and dwell.

I love you with an amazing and everlasting love.

Sweet, Holy Spirit….

Good morning, My Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

May God’s presence sweetly surround you this morning. Make room for God today. May your life create a constant atmosphere for the Spirit’s presence.

May God enjoy dwelling and walking with us. This morning, as I was praying, I kept thanking God for His sweet presence. Then I began to sing today’s worship song.

Set aside special time with God today.

I love you, with an amazing and everlasting love.

I Changed My Mind…

Screen-Shot-2018-01-03-at-15.10.42-1024x895

Good morning, Beautiful Blessing:

First, I want to say, “Thank You,” for taking the time to read the morning devotional. You are purposefully taking time for God and you are trusting me to be a vessel.

Several, several years ago I purchased a VHS recording of one of T.D. Jake’s most powerful messages. The sermon was entitled, “Tell the Devil, I Changed My Mind.” Let me tell you, that sermon equipped me with a boldness and an assuredness that I had never possessed before.

So many times, as Christians, we forget that our mind is a spiritual battlefield. Our daily wars are fought in an unseen realm and they manifest based on how strong our mind is equipped for battle. There is a reason that the bible says:

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

New International Version (NIV)

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Today, and every day after, train, equip, and prepare your mind for battle. Who do you keep company with? Do their words and actions influence you or do your words and actions influence them? What do you fill your mind with every day, in terms of TV, social media, music and entertainment? It all shows up in your mind. It Matters!!!

Be Transformed! Change Your Mind!

I love you so much. I want you to have exceedingly and abundantly more than you can ask or THINK, according to the Word, Will and Wisdom of God.

God’s On Your Side…

isaiah-40-31.png

Today is the day the Lord has made and predestined. We come against any planned or unplanned attacks or tricks of the enemy. We praise God that the Holy Spirit is giving us discernment on whether to go to the right or to the left, or to just be still. Our minds are fixed on the Word and promises of God. We set our faces to heaven and our Help. We trust God and we are willing to wait patiently for His will to be manifested in our lives and on this earth.

Isaiah 40:27-31

New King James Version (NKJV)

27 Why do you say, O Jacob,
And speak, O Israel:
“My way is hidden from the Lord,
And my just claim is passed over by my God”?
28 Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

I love you with an amazing and everlasting love.

Vacation Bible School…

Good morning, Children of the Most High God:

This morning, I was humming a song that we would sing in vacation Bible School, when I was a little girl.

Do you remember these lyrics?

“Rise, Shine, give God the glory, glory.

Rise, shine  give God the glory, glory.

Rise and shine and give God glory.

Children of the Lord.”

For whatever reason, I can’t get that song out of my head this morning. I thank God that he still uses ways to always encourage and uplift us. Singing the song put instant smile on my face and in my heart.

The actual original song is from Albertina Walker. Take a listen and see if you can hear the similarities. I’m sure for vacation bible school some of the lyrics were changed to fit the understanding of children. Either way, both songs teach children about the Word. Amen!!!

Give God all the glory today. Remember to love on God today. He loves to know that you are thinking of Him.

Mark 12:30-31

New International Version (NIV)

30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.  There is no commandment greater than these.”

Write God a love note today. Put it in your bible.

I love you with an amazing and everlasting love.
