Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Family, as we continue through this final week of Black History Month, I want to share a song that is deeply meaningful to me. Earlier today, I called my mother to ask her the name of the song I used to request that she and my father perform for me in Daddy’s den. Even in the early stages of dementia, she responded without hesitation: “It was called God Specializes.”

As she softly spoke the opening line of the song, I felt tears begin to well in my eyes. One of the last times my father was well enough to play the keyboard for me, he and my mother sang this very song together. That moment remains etched in my heart.

Today, I invite us to let the message of this song serve as our devotional —reminding us that God specializes in what seems impossible and meets us with grace, strength, and faithfulness in every season.

Spirit of the Living God, thank you for being able to specialize in everything we need. You are the Great, I Am. There is none like you, Lord. Thank you for your faithfulness and for bringing us this far in our spiritual and earthly journeys. Continue to show us the Good Way and help us to walk in it.
