Greetings, Precious Family:
May the Peace of the Lord be with you.
Family, have you ever put together a jigsaw puzzle or a large 100-piece or 1000 piece puzzle? The front of the box is this perfect image that you are so excited to put together.
First thing, you open the box, and all the pieces are on the table. Suddenly, you begin to realize that this puzzle may not be as simple as it looked. This puzzle is going to take patience, time, and looking back at the cover to remember what the image is supposed to look like.
What you thought was going to take a few hours has now turned into a few days and maybe even a few weeks, depending on how much time you dedicate to it each day. Each time you sit back down to work on the puzzle, the first thing you do is look at the cover to remind yourself of the completed look. Then, one day, it is finally time to put the last piece of the puzzle into its place. What a wonderful feeling!!! You did it!!!
Family, it is the same with God. He knows where all the puzzle pieces go in our lives. How often are we willing to lay on the table, in stillness, and allow him to put the right pieces into place?
Scripture Passage of the Day
Jeremiah 29:11-13
New International Version
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Let Us Pray
Spirit of the Living God, thank you for continuing to work on us. Let us not grow weary, tired, or frustrated when we are not as far along as we think we should be. Give us peace in knowing that the more we surrender to your will, the faster the pieces will come together. So many times we want to ask, “Is it done yet?” but we trust you and your kairos (ordained time). Let it be so, in Jesus’ name.
Amen, Amen, and Amen
