Holy King

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you.

Thank you for the grace you have shown me as I have been away for a moment. Sometimes, family, school, and health require more of me than usual, and I have to give them my full attention. As the young people say, “Life was lifing.” I am grateful that all in my house are now well and in good health.

This week’s devotional is inspired by a song from Annatoria entitled Hark, Now Hear.

The song gives a timeline of the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus. In the church, depending on what time or season of the year it is, we highlight different aspects of Jesus’s earthly ministry. It is easy to remember the beauty of him as a baby or the incredible teacher and healer he was during his earthly ministry. What we must remember above all else is that Jesus came to be a sacrifice.

The climax of Jesus’s earthly ministry occurred while he was hanging on the cross with the FULL WEIGHT of OUR SINS upon him. He cried out:

Psalm 22:1/ Matthew 27:46 / Mark 15:34

Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?”, are recorded in Hebrew as “אֵלִי אֵלִי לָמָה עֲזַבְתָּנִי” (Elī Elī, lāmā ‘azabtānī) and mean “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?

In that moment, he was separated from the Father because of our sin. In that moment, the world grew silent…

This is the reason he willingly came down from heaven, took the form of a human, walked the earth teaching, healing, and showing mercy and love. His greatest love letter to us was from the cross.

Oh what a day…on the third day, after he died he got up with ALL POWER IN HIS HANDS.

So when I sing this song by Annatoria, I am remembering and telling the Lord, Thank you for all you have done.

God Is Not Done!!!

Good morning, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you always.

Family, first I want to wish all of the mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day. In my opinion, a mother is a person who is a parent to a human or an animal because family is family.

We have had a historic week this week. For the first time in history, we have a Pope who is from the United States. I can not think of a country that needs more of God than us.

Funny story, when I was younger, I wanted to become a nun. I was too young to realize that I had to be Catholic to be a nun. What I decided to do, instead, was to live my life in a way that is pleasing to God.

To be transparent, there were a few seasons in my life that I was rebellious and hard-headed, but when I truly decided to dedicate my life to God, I never turned back.

As far as I have come, in my life, I know that there is still so much ahead of me to do in the Kingdom of God. I know that God is not done yet. The best is yet to come. I believe God when he shows me glimpses of what is ahead.

Thanksgiving and Prayer

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

He Is Our Comfort

Greetings, Precious Family:

May the Peace of the Lord be with you always.

As we continue our series on salvation, holiness, and sanctification, I want to remind us that our greatest and most precious gift that we are given, after salvation, is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus promised that after he ascended into heaven that he would send the Comforter to walk with us and remind us of what Jesus taught and would bring back to remembrance the Holy Scriptures.

The Holy Spirit of God is our greatest gift, as it leads us to walk in the Holy Path. When we hear the still small voice inside of us, we can be assured that God is keeping His promise to us.

May you walk closely and tenderly with God each and every day of your life. Ask the Holy Spirit of God for direction and counsel in every area of your life. He is faithful to keep his promises.

Holy Scriptures

John 14:23-29

Tree of Life Version

23 Yeshua answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words. And the word you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me. 25 These things I have spoken to you while dwelling with you. 26 But the Helper, the Ruach ha-Kodesh whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you everything and remind you of everything that I said to you.

27 Shalom I leave you, My shalom I give to you; but not as the world gives! Do not let your heart be troubled or afraid. 28 You’ve heard Me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I. 29 I have told you now before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe!
