Living To Worship…

Good morning, Precious Family:

May the Peace of God be with you at all times and in all places.

Family, as followers of Christ, we know that we were created to worship the Lord in mind, body, soul, and strength. There is no situation that we will ever be in that is not an act of worship.

When we wake up in the morning, there is an opportunity to worship.

When we greet our family in our home, there is an opportunity to worship.

When we go out to eat, there is an opportunity to worship.

When we are sitting in traffic, there is an opportunity to worship.

When we are alone with God, in our secret place/prayer closet, there is an opportunity to worship.

We must be in the habit of being in a state of continual worship. Heaven will be a place where worship never ceases. We better start practicing now.

Holy Scriptures

Revelation 4:8-11

Tree of Life Version

The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes all around and within.[a] They do not rest day or night, chanting,

Kadosh, kadosh, kadosh
    Adonai Elohei-Tzva’ot,[b]
    asher haya v’hoveh v’yavo!
Holy, holy, holy
is the Lord God of Hosts,
    who was and who is
    and who is to come!”

9 And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to the One seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, [c] 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before the One seated on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever. And they throw their crowns down before the throne, chanting,

11 “Worthy are You, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
For You created all things,
    and because of Your will
    they existed and were created!”

Family, I have a question for you. If someone spends the day with you, how do you think they would describe your life?

Does your life have the holy fragrance of Christ? Do you love before you judge? What if you have different political views? What if you encounter someone who is from a different culture?

What fragrance will you have? Yours? God’s?

Think on these things…

I love you, All, with the redeeming and everlasting love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Your sister,

Rev. Marcia Davis
